The Executive Post Graduate Programme in Management (EPGP) is an intensive one-year residential program exemplifying the academic rigor and progressive thinking at IIM Indore. Specially designed to enhance knowledge, skills and capabilities essential for managing and leading organizations, the programme combines skill-building with exploration of good management practices. The exposure to new perspectives, contemporary theories and approaches in management lends focus to leading in turbulent times. In addition to a comprehensive functional core module, the electives provide opportunities to specialize in Strategy, Leadership, and International Business.
Eligibility
The Candidate must have
i) A Bachelor's Degree or its equivalent in any discipline.
ii) A valid CAT /GMAT score
iii) Minimum 5 years of managerial/ entrepreneurial/ professional experience after graduation.
The programme is open to all nationalities.
Selection Process
Interview:
Interview of short listed candidates will be conducted at various locations depending on the number of candidates from that region. Short-listing of candidates for interview will be done based on a number of criteria like CAT /GMAT score, Academic performance, work experience etc as decided by the admissions committee.
Selection & registering for the programme:
Candidates will be selected based on CAT /GMAT score, academic performance, achievements, performance in the interview, work experience etc as decided by the admissions committee. Selected candidates have to register for the programme in Sept 2012.
Pedagogy
The pedagogy will be a judicious mix of lectures, case discussions, project work, term papers, role-play, seminar presentations, assignments, management games, and simulations.
Programme details
The EPGP is structured to prepare executives for transformational leadership positions. During the intense one-year programme, they will work towards developing a deeper understanding of various facets of management and hone their managerial skills. The programme is spread tentative over five academic terms. The first three terms (mostly composed of core courses) focus on laying the foundation for the specialization through a bundle of electives offered in the other terms. The last two terms are mostly electives and other experiential learning. An intervening international module (currently at Katz Business School, University of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania) provides an opportunity to develop an understanding of the global business environment and the ability to operate in a multicultural environment.
How to Apply
Candidates seeking admission to the one-year EPGP programme of IIM-Indore (2012-13 batch) either have to appear in the Common Admission Test (CAT 2011) or submit their GMAT score. The GMAT score should have been obtained between Jan 1, 2009 and March 31, 2012. They will have to send in a separate application form which can be downloaded from our website www.iimidr.ac.in .
The completed application form along with the processing fee should reach IIM Indore on or before 20th April, 2012. The application processing fee is Rs. 3500/- for resident Indians and U.S. $ 110/- for other nationals and non-resident Indians. Please enclose a D/D for the application-processing fee drawn in favour of IIM Indore payable at Indore along with the application.
Candidates applying through CAT 2011 have to mention their CAT Application Form number in the EPGP Application form. Candidates applying through GMAT have to submit their GMAT score along with the EPGP Application form.
Programme fee
The programme fee is Rs. 18,00,000/- (Rupees Eighteen Lakhs only) for Indian Nationals (Indian passport holders) and US $45,000 (U.S.D forty five thousand only) for Foreign Nationals (Foreign passport holders). The fee is non-refundable. The fee includes tuition, course material, access to library facilities, network /computer charges, lodging and board (at Indore) and academic input (International). For the International Module all expenses towards travel, visa, passport, boarding, lodging etc. are to be borne by the candidates. The tentative cost towards boarding and lodging at Pittsburg is approximately Rs.1,00,000/- (Rupees One Lakh only).
Placement

Applications are invited for admission to the MBBS course at Armed Forces Medical College (AFMC), Pune, commencing from 01 Aug 2012. Total 130 candidates (including a maximum of 25 girls) will be selected.
Eligibility
Applicants must have passed the XII standard/ pre-professional/ premedical examination or equivalent examination of statutory Indian University/ Board or any other recognized Board/ University as a regular student in all the subjects opted for in FIRST ATTEMPT with the subjects of English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology securing not less than 60% of aggregate marks in the three science subjects taken together, not less than 50% marks in each of the science subjects and not less than 50% marks in English.
They must have also passed an examination in Mathematics at least of the matriculation standard. A graduate of B.Sc. examination with not less than two of the subjects Physics, Chemistry, Biology (Botany or Zoology) and also must have passed the earlier qualifying examination i.e. XII standard / Pre professional (Med) with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English and obtained marks as stated above.
NOTE (a) Candidates who are to appear in the qualifying examination (10+2 or equivalent) up to 01 May 2012 may also appear for the test provisionally.
(b) The following categories of students are NOT ELIGIBLE to apply:-
(i) Candidates who have passed in Domestic Science, Domestic Arithmetic, Lower Maths separately or in combination with other subjects like General Science, Social studies in High School/Higher Secondary (Multi-Purpose) or equivalent examination

How To Apply
(a) Prospectus and application form for AFMC MBBS Entrance Examination 2012 will be available ONLY online, from 06 February 2012 onwards.
Candidates will have to login to the website of AFMC www.afmc.nic.in and click on the link AFMC MBBS Entrance Examination 2012 which will lead to the webpage containing the application process. Candidates should read the instructions/guidelines contained in the webpage carefully before applying.
(b) Candidates applying for AFMC MBBS Entrance Examination 2012 should have a valid e-mail id which is mandatory. All candidates should register themselves on the website by clicking on the “New Applicant Click here to Register” icon. You will have to fill up the relevant details and register. An e-mail with a temporary password will be generated and sent to the registered e-mail id. On first login a new password will have to be created by the candidate.
(c) Following successful registration, the candidate can now apply for AFMC MBBS Entrance examination – 2012, using his registered e-mail id and the new changed password as LOGIN ID and PASSWORD.
(d) On logging in to the account a unique registration id will be generated. All candidates will write down and keep this number safely since this will be used for all future correspondence. The candidate will have to fill the mandatory fields marked (*) in the application form.
(e) Candidates will also have to download and print the Bank challan form. This form will be printed with the unique registration number. Candidates will have to make the payment of Rs.280/- (Two Hundred and Eighty only (Application fee + Bank charges)) at any State Bank of India branch across the country.
NOTE: This payment can be done ONLY 24 hours after initial registration on the website.
(f) To make the final submission of the form the candidate will have to upload his/her digital photograph and scanned signature. The photograph and scanned signature will be uploaded only in the .jpeg format. All photographs will be of passport size format with the name of candidate and the date of the photograph mentioned at the bottom of the photograph. Any form without a photograph or signature will be rejected. The form can then be submitted;
however the confirmation of submission will be uploaded ONLY when the bank confirms the payment of the application fees by the candidate.
(g) For those candidates who are unable to upload photo and signature, provision for submission of the forms by downloading, printing and sending the forms to AFMC Pune after affixing photograph and signature will be available from 28 Feb 2012 to 05 Mar 2012 ONLY. For Delhi and outside Delhi Region (except the nominees of Ministry of Govt. of India) the candidate should have appeared in AIEEE-2011 and have been declared eligible for Central Counseling Board by the C.B.S.E.
A candidate who has passed any of the following qualifying examinations from a recognized School/ College/Institute located within NCT of Delhi (for Delhi Region candidates) or located outside NCT of Delhi (for Outside Delhi Region candidates) only and securing 60 % or more marks in the aggregate of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics, shall be eligible to apply for admission to the first semester of Bachelor of Engineering Courses provided he has passed in each subject in one of the following examinations separately:
(i) Senior School Certificate Examination (12-year course) of the Central Board of Secondary Education (C.B.S.E.), New Delhi.
(ii) Indian School Certificate Examination (12-year course) of the Council for Indian School Certificate Examination, New Delhi.
(iii) Any other examination recognized as equivalent to the Senior School Certificate Examination of the C.B.S.E. by the University of Delhi.
A candidate must additionally have passed English as a subject of study either at the 10th Class level or 12th Class level (core or elective).
Note:
(i) Candidate who has appeared at the appropriate qualifying annual Examination mentioned above of the year 2011 and placed in compartment will not be eligible for admission for the year 2011-2012.
(ii) Candidate who has appeared at the appropriate qualifying annual Examination mentioned above of the year 2011 and reappeared for the improvement to acquire the eligibility will not be considered for admission for the year 2011-2012.
(iii) No admission will be made directly to the second or any subsequent semester of the course.
(iv) No change of branch will be permitted after the commencement of the second semester, even if some seats fall vacant in some of the branches during the course of second semester.
(v) No admission will be made after 31.08.2011 without prior approval of the competent authority.
RELAXATION IN MARKS FOR RESERVED CATEGORIES
Candidates belonging to the following categories, who apply for seats reserved for them, shall be allowed a relaxation in the minimum eligibility requirements of marks in the qualifying examination as detailed below:
1. SCHEDULED CASTES (SC) AND SCHEDULED TRIBES (ST):
Candidate belonging to Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes shall be allowed 10 percent relaxation in the minimum eligibility requirements of marks in the aggregate of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics in the qualifying examination as mentioned above.
2. CHILDREN OF DEFENCE CATEGORY (DC):
Candidate under this category shall be allowed relaxation of five percent in the minimum eligibility requirements of marks in the aggregate of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics in the qualifying examinations as mentioned above.
3. PHYSICALLY CHALLANGED (PH):
Candidate belonging to Physically Challenged category shall be allowed 5% relaxation in the minimum eligibility requirements of marks in the aggregate of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics in the qualifying examinations as mentioned above.
AGE REQUIREMENT
Candidate must be 17 years of age on or before the first day of October of the year in which he seeks admission. Relaxation in minimum age with the prior approval of the Vice-Chancellor is permissible at the time of admission.

Eligibility
For MD/MS Clinical subjects, only those candidates who have not crossed the age of 30 years as on 31st December 2012 are eligible to apply. Date of birth as recorded in the 10th standard / school leaving certificate will be taken as authentic. Age relaxation will be considered for candidates with higher qualification in the concerned subject.
For MD/MS Non clinical and all Diploma courses age limit not applicable.
A candidate, who holds MBBS degree from a recognized Medical College included in the Schedules to the Indian Medical council Act, 1956 and has obtained full registration either from the Medical Council of India or any of the state Medical Council after completing compulsory rotating internship, shall be eligible to take this examination.
Candidates who, after passing the final qualifying examination (MBBS or the foreign medical degree recognized by MCI), if undergoing 12-month compulsory rotating internship /practical training and is likely to complete the same on or before 31st March 2012 can take up this examination, provided they can produce the full registration from the MCI or any State Medical Council within one month from the date of admission.
For MDS: A candidate, who holds BDS degree from a recognized Dental college and has obtained permanent registration from any of the state Dental Council, shall be eligible to appear for this examination provided the registration certificate shall be submitted before 30th April 2012.
For Nursing
The candidate should be a Registered Nurse and Registered Midwife with any State Nursing Council.
The candidate should have passed BSc Nursing or BSc Hons. Nursing or Post Basic BSc Nursing with minimum of 55% aggregate marks from an Institution recognized by INDIAN NURSING COUNCIL.

Minimum qualification for admission to the two years full-time post-graduate management programs - PGDM at the Institute is three / four years bachelor’s degree with minimum 50% marks in aggregate (45% for SC/ST) in any discipline recognized by Association of Indian Universities. However preference will be given to Engineering, Economics, Commerce, Management and Computer Science graduates and candidates with relevant work experience.
Candidates appearing for final year or final semester of their graduate degree examination in academic year 2011-12 are also eligible to appear for the admission process. Such candidates, if called for interview, should submit the copy of admit card or a letter from the principal of the college where they are studying to that effect. Such candidates if finally selected at XISS, Ranchi must clear their Graduation examination with 50% marks in aggregate (45% for SC/ST) by August 2012.

Three stage admission process is followed by the Institute as per the guidelines of AICTE. These stages are

A candidate desirous of seeking admission in the Institute will have to appear in an all India level management admission test organized by XLRI Jamshedpur (XAT 2012 on January 8th 2012. For admission to batches 2012-14, scores of only XAT 2012 will be accepted. Candidates will have to apply online for appearing in XAT 2012 by visiting www.xatonline.net.in and will have to select XISS as affiliated institute.
Based on XAT 2012 scores, candidates who have applied for admission at the institute will be shortlisted and will be called for Group Discussion and Personal Interview to be held at the institute premises in the month of April 2011.

4. Prospectus and application form can also be downloaded from the Institute website www.xiss.ac.in/
admission.php. The downloaded application form duly filled in should be submitted along with a demand draft for Rs. 1000/- (for one specialization only), Rs. 1600/- (for two specializations) and Rs. 2000/- (for three specializations) drawn in favour of ‘Xavier Institute of Social Service’ payable at Ranchi on any scheduled bank. The candidate should clearly write his/her name on the back side of the Bank Draft.

§ The Administration of XISS, Ranchi reserves the right to change the requirement for admission, course content, fee payable, regulations affecting students or make any other suitable modifications, should these be deemed necessary in the best interest of the students, the institute or the profession.

Based on XAT 2012 scores, candidates who have applied for admission at the institute will be shortlisted and will be called for Group Discussion and Personal Interview to be held at the institute premises in the month of April 2011.

After applying for XAT 2012, candidate will be provided a 6 digit XAT ID, which is required for applying at XISS.
2. Candidate is required to apply separately at XISS, by procuring the application form from the institute
or by downloading it from website of the Institute. A candidate can apply for one, two or maximum three specializations. Only one application form is required for applying to one or more specializations.
3. XISS Application form and prospectus can be obtained from the institute counter by paying cash or depositing a bank draft for Rs. 1000/- (for one specialization only), Rs. 1600/- (for two specializations) and Rs. 2000/- (for three specializations maximum).
4. Prospectus and application form can also be downloaded from the Institute website www.xiss.ac.in/

The downloaded application form duly filled in should be submitted along with a demand draft for Rs. 1000/- (for one specialization only), Rs. 1600/- (for two specializations) and Rs. 2000/- (for three specializations) drawn in favour of ‘Xavier Institute of Social Service’ payable at Ranchi on any scheduled bank. The candidate should clearly write his/her name on the back side of the Bank Draft.
5. A candidate can apply to a maximum three specializations. If it is found that a candidate has
applied for more than three specializations on two different application forms, then he/she will be barred from the admission process for all the specializations.
6. Application forms and prospectus are available from 1st November 2011 till 10th March 2012. Last date for submission of filled in application forms is 10th March 2012. The form must reach on or before last date. The Institute is not responsible for any postal delay or otherwise non-receipt of the form within the due date.
7. The cut-off qualifying XAT percentile for GD/PI will be decided by the selection committee after declaration of XAT results and on the basis of number of applications received for admissions.
8. The list of short-listed candidates for GD/PI will be displayed on the Institute notice board and website

9. Tentative dates for GD & PI is between 9th April to 15th April 2012.

§ The Administration of XISS, Ranchi reserves the right to change the requirement for admission, course content, fee payable, regulations affecting students or make any other suitable modifications, should these be deemed necessary in the best interest of the students, the institute or the profession.
§ Institute does not permit ragging in any form in its premises or the hostel. The students are advised to refrain from ragging at any place during their study at the Institute.
