National Institute for Empowerment of Persons with Multiple Disabilities (NIEPMD) is a central autonomous body under the Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment, Govt. of India. One of the objectives of NIEPMD is to undertake development of human resources for management, training, rehabilitation, education, employment and social development of persons with multiple disabilities.

NIEPMD invites applications for admission into the following one year Diploma courses, recognized by RCI, Ministr of Social Justice & Empowerment, Govt. of India for the academic year 2008-2009.
Course:
1. Diploma in Special Education (Cerebral Palsy) (GEN:6, SC:2, ST:1, PH:1)
Eligibility: 10+2 or equivalent

2. Diploma in Special Education (Deaf Blindness) (GEN:6, SC:2, ST:1, PH:1)
Eligibility: 10+2 or equivalent

3. *Diploma in Special Education (Autism Spectrum Disorders) (GEN:9, SC:3, ST:2, PH:1)
Eligibility: 10+2 or equivalent

Main Aim of course is to develop the scholar in Hindi and to establish Hindi as an International Language. To meet Language Expert demand of Industry, Language Technology Course is used the technology enhancement in the course.

Duration: 2 Years.
Eligibility: 10+2 or Equivalent passed.

One Year Diploma Course: in Sanskrit language.
Eligibility: 10+2 or Equivalent passed.

Note:
1) Candidate should have Working knowledge of hindi.
2) Medium of instruction for all the above courses will be Hindi.
3) Students in their final year of graduation can also apply. For SC/ST, physically handicapped, Kashmiri migrants, foreign students and students from north-eastern states reservations and relaxation will be given as per university rules.

2) Diploma in Hindi as an international language (1 Year).

For admission in the above mentioned courses exept Ph.D. the University will conduct a written test at various centers (Wardha, Jaipur, Ahmedabad, Delhi, Bhopal, Lucknow, Patna, Ranchi, Kolkatta, Chennai, Kochi, Bhubaneshwar, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Bangluru and Guwahati.) All selected candidates in written test will be called for interview at Wardha. If the Number of applicants is less than the required, at any Center chosen by the candidate, the candidates of such centers have to appear for the written test at Wardha. Candidates will not be paid TA/DA for appearing in written examination.candidates selected on the basis of written examination will be called for interview at Wardha only. Written test and interview for Ph.D willbe conducted at Wardha centre only. There will not be any written test for admission to Diploma courses.

ADMISSION ANNOUNCEMENT 2008 –2009.

The University of Hyderabd was established by an Act of Parliament in 1974 and emerged as a premier center of higher learning with outstanding student output and faculty who have to their credit notable accomplishments. The University offers facilities for post-graduate and research studies in major disciplines in sciences (including Medical Sciences, Engineering Sciences and Technology), humanities, social sciences, performing arts, fine arts, communication and management studies. Admissions are made on all-India basis in order of merit in the entrance examination. The University offers fellowships to al the students admitted to any of its regular programs of study.

Reservation of seats:
In each course, 15% and 7.5% of the seats are reserved for SC and ST candidates respectively with a provision for inter-changeability wherever necessary 3% of the seats are reserved for Physically challenged candidates. Relaxation in the prescribed percentage of marks in the qualifying degree/other examination is also provided for these categories. (3) MBA (4 Semesters): Candidates are selected for admission from among the CAT qualified candidates after hold Group Discussion/Interview by the University. Selection for the admissions for the academic year 2008-2009 have been completed. Applicants who want to be considered for admission during the academic year 2009-2010 should appear for the CAT 2008 and apply to the university separately as per the University’s advertisement press release in August/September 2008.
(4) M.Sc. Biotechnology: The admissions for the M.Sc. Biotechnology programme during the year 2008-2009 will be based on the allotment made by the JNU, New Delhi which will conduct a common entrance test on 18.05.2008.

Eligibility of Admission:
Bachelors Degree in any discipline. Those who passed Part I and II and appearing for the final year / semester Degree examination can also apply. (Admission of these candidates will be provisional and will be regularized on production of qualifying certificates on or before 30.09.2008)
Bachelors Degree in the concerned subjects necessary for Music and Dance.

Mode of Selection
Admission to the above courses will be strictly on the basis of the marks obtained t the Entrance Examination. Admission to M.A. Theatre will be governed by an aptitude test also.
Examination and Centres
a) The Entrance Examiantion for M.A. and P.G. Diploma will be from 14.05.2008 to 17.05.2008 at Thiruvananthapuram, Panmana, Ettumanoor, Kalady, Thuravoor, Thrissur, Tirur, Koyilandy and Payyanur and such other centres to be decided later.
b) M.S.W. Entrance Examination will be held on 18.05.2008 in Main Centre, Kalady, Thuravoor, Tirur and Payyannur.
Option Facility:
There will be separate examination for each subject and candidates can opt only for three subjects for the examination, part from Diploma and M.S.W. The candidates are free to apply for any discipline regardless of the subjects they have taken in their graduate level except, for M.A. Music and Dance. 10% weightage on the basis of performance in the written test will be given to students those who have taken same subject as main/core in the Degree level.
How to get application:
Application for the various courses of study can be had form the Offices of the Directors of Main Centre, Kalady and Regional Centre on payment of the prescribed fee Rs.100/- (Rs.250 for M.S.W.) payable in cash. Candidates belong to SC/ST need pay only Rs.25/- for M.A. and Rs.50 for M.S.W.
Those who intend to get the application by post may make such a requisition to the Registrar along with a crossed Demand Draft for Rs.100/- (Rs.250/- for M.S.W.) drawn in favour of the Finance Office, Sree Sankaracharya University of Sanskrit, Kalady payable at Union Bank of India. Kalady together with two self addressed stamped envelope for Rs.10/-.
Return of filled-in Application:
Duly filed in applications complete in all respects should be returned in person or by post to the Registrar, Sree Sankaracharya University of Sanskrit, Kalady. P.O., Ernakulam District, Kerala, Pin-683574. Late or incomplete applications will be rejected.
