Master of Computer Application (MCA)

Graduate from a recognised University with Mathematics or Statistics as one of the subjects at 10+2 level or at graduation and minimum of 45% aggregate marks for open category and 40% for reserved category. Students who have appeared for their final year graduate examination may also apply for admission. However their eligibility will be decided after the production of their degree result with required marks on or before 30 September, 2008.

Selection Procedure

The students will have to appear for the state-level common entrance test (CET) conducted by Directorate of Technical Education, Mumbai or CET conducted by Maharashtra Association of MCA Institutes (MAMI). The applicants will have to submit CET scores.

PGDM (e-Business)

Passed with minimum of 45% marks in aggregate in any Bachelor's Degree of minimum 3 years duration (in any discipline) from an university recognised by the Association of Indian Universities. Those who are appearing for final year/semester examination can also apply. However, they must produce documentary evidence of having passed the examination, on or before the commencement of the programme failing which their admission will be liable for cancellation. He / She should have passed or appeared for MAT / CAT / MH - CET / ATMA / XAT for the current year.

SELECTION PROCEDURE FOR SPECIALISATION COURSES: All the candidates will be selected through a Personal Interview according to the performance in the Personal Interview and as per academic merit. Applications must be accompanied by.

Eligibility: Applications are invited from candidates who are holding M.Sc. degree or equivalent in all branches of Science and have qualified in CSIR-NET under CSIR/UGC fellowship scheme or DBT/ICMR JRF examination scheme or BioInformatics National Certification (BINC) Examination, for admission to the Ph.D. programme.

The candidate should have qualified in NET examination held on December, 2008 under CSIR/UGC category or should have valid award letter under the above or should have qualified under DBT/ICMR JRF examination scheme or BioInformatics National Certification (BINC) Examination.

Selection Process : Selection for admission to the Ph.D. programme will be done on the basis of an interview to he held at NCL in broad disciplines of Organic Chemistry, Catalysis, Life Sciences, Physical & Theoretical Chemistry, Materials Chemistry, Polymer Science and Chemical Engineering. The number of students to be selected in each of the above disciplines will depend on the vacancies that will exist for each of the disciplines. A candidate may choose to be considered in any three of the above disciplines. The candidates will be interviewed separately in each of the disciplines of his/her choice. Separate merit list will be prepared in each of the above disciplines.

Tenure:
The selected JRFs will be eligible for a stipend of Rs.12,000/- p.m. + House Rent Allowance (HRA) as admissible under rules and a Contingency grant of Rs.20,000/- per annum. On completion of two years, JRFs could be upgraded to Senior Research Fellowship (SRF) on assessment which will enable them to get Rs.14,000/- p.m. The total tenure including the fellowship period shall not exceed 5 years.
