Applicant should be Indian National employed in Kerala and should have passed Diploma in Engineering/Technology awarded by the State Board of Technical Education or equivalent. Applicant should be in permanent professional employment with at least two years of professional experience after passing the Diploma Examination in any (i) Government organizations (ii)Quasi- Government Organizations (iii)Industrial firms duly registered under Co-operative Society's Act (iv)Public or Private Limited companies registered under Companies Act (v) Private-aided Polytechnics and Private-aided and un-aided Engineering Colleges in the state and. Institute of Chemical Technology [ICT], Nathalal Parekh Marg, Matunga, Mumbai-400019, a Deemed-to-be-University, has invited applications for admission to the seats reserved for candidates to be admitted through AIEEE in various Under Graduate courses at the Institute.
The Courses to which 30% of the total sanctioned intake capacity will be allotted under AIEEE quota include, B.Chem.Engg and B.Tech in Dyes (Dyestuff Technology), Textile (Fibres & Textile Processing Technology), Foods (Food Engineering and Technology), Oils (Oils, Oleochemicals & Surfactants Technology), Pharma (Pharmaceutical Sciences & Technology), Polymer (Polymer Engineering & Technology) and Coatings (Surface Coating Technology). There are 41 seats to be filled based on AIEEE of which 33 are open and 8 are reserved for SC/ST. Details are given in the Prospectus.

Applicant should have appeared for the AIEEE examination 2009 and should have AIEEE- 2009 Score card with non-zero score. Allotment of seats of B.Chem Engg and of all the branches within B. Tech. is made at the time of counseling to be done at the ICT, strictly by merit. Reservation in admission for SC/ST categories is applicable as per Govt. norms. Separate merit lists will be prepared for candidates of SC/ST categories. Interested candidates must be present in person at the time of counselling. If the candidate is unable to attend the counselling round, he/she should authorize a person as per Proforma A to remain present for counselling.

Admission Form and Prospectus can be purchased from the Account Section of the Institute on payment of Rs.900/- (Rs.450/- for Backward Category Classes, applicable to the candidates from the State of Maharashtra only), in cash. Those requiring the materials by Post, must send a Pay Order/DD for Rs.950/- (Rs.500/- for Backward Category Classes, applicable to the candidates from the State of Maharashtra only), drawn in favour of 'The Director, ICT', payable at Mumbai.

The Admission form and Prospectus may be downloaded from www.udct.org, in which case, the filled form may be sent to the ICT along with the Pay Order/DD of Rs.950/- (Rs.500/-).

Candidates are required to submit the duly filled application form at the ICT along with one attested set of all copies of the required documents. e-statement of AIEEE Score Card may be submitted instead of attested Xerox of the original, if Original score card is not received by the last date of submission of application form at the ICT. Original Score Card is to be submitted at the time of counselling round at the ICT.

Each eligible candidate who has submitted application form in the prescribed format on or before the last date prescribed for the submission of application form will be assigned a Merit Number. There will be a Common merit lists for B. Chem. Engg and the seven branches of B. Tech, separately for General and Reserved category, on the basis of marks scored at AIEEE 2009.

The provisional merit lists will be displayed on the Notice Board of ICT and at the website www.udct.org after 6 working days from the closing date for submission of the admission forms. Candidate should carefully check his/ her information in the provisional merit list displayed on the website. If there is any grievance/ discrepancy/ mistake in the information, it must be pointed out along with all requisite proofs at the ICT either 'in person' or by email at admission@udct.org or by Fax 022-24145614 within 2 days.

Admission will be given to the candidate as per the merit by Counselling at the ICT and the number of seats available at that point of time. The candidate has to confirm his/ her admission by submitting all the necessary original documents and paying the prescribed fees, by the date specified in the Offer Letter, by Demand Draft/ Pay Order of any Bank drawn in favour of The Director, ICT, Mumbai, payable at Mumbai. Applicant should have passed the Senior School Certificate Examination/Higher Secondary/Indian School Certificate Examination, equivalent to 10+2 Examination after a period of 12 years of study and should have secured 50 % (40 % for SC/ST) or more marks in aggregate in Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English as the core/elective subjects, provided that the student has secured qualifying marks in each subject separately, should have completed minimum age of 17 years on or before 31st December, 2009 and should be a domicile of one of the North Eastern States of India (including Sikkim).

POST GRADUATE ENGINEERING ADMISSIONS 2009-2010

Department of Technical Education, Government of Kerala has invited applications for admission to Post Graduate Degree Courses in Engineering offered at College of Engineering, Thiruvananthapuram (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics & Communication, Architecture), TKM College of Engineering, Kollam (Mechanical, Civil), Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Technology, Kottayam (Mechanical, Electrical & Electronics) and Government Engineering College, Thissur (Civil, Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical).
The course duration is 24 months consisting of 4 semesters. During the final semester, every student will be required to submit thesis/ dissertation based on the project he/she undertakes.

Applicant should be an Indian National and should have studied the Graduate course in an institution approved by the AICTE/Deemed Universities. For Industrial Engineering & Management, the candidates shall have B.Tech Degree in any Engineering discipline, but for other branches the candidates shall have Degree in the respective branches of engineering awarded by the Universities of Kerala, or equivalent. Applicants should have a minimum of 60% aggregate marks in the Engineering Degree examination. For SC/ST candidates a pass in the Engineering Degree course is sufficient.

Candidates, who have passed AMIE/AMIETE Examinations are eligible for admission to institutions under Kerala University subject to the conditions that (i) They must have valid GATE score (ii) A minimum of 55% marks for section B in AMIE/AMIETE examination (iii) Minimum three years of Professional experience in the field of Specialization after acquiring the qualifying degree.

Candidates who have appeared for the final semester examination can also apply, provided they have passed all the subjects upto and including the 7th semester exam. Such candidates shall submit self attested copies of all mark lists up to 7th semester along with the application. Selection of such candidates shall be subject to the production of qualifying degree on or before September 30, 2009.

Admission shall normally be restricted to those with valid GATE score. However, this stipulation is relaxed in the case of Sponsored candidates. In case seats remain vacant due to lack of candidates with valid GATE score, candidates from Kerala State without valid GATE score will be considered against such vacancies.

Degree in Architecture/Civil Engineering will be considered as equivalent for admission to Master of Planning (Housing) Degree course. Degree in Civil, Mechanical or Chemical Engineering will be considered as equivalent for admission to Environmental Engineering. Graduates in Applied Electronics & Instrumentation will be considered for admission to all specializations in Electronics and Communication Engineering branch. Degree in Instrumentation & Control/Biomedical Instrumentation/ Electronics and Biomedical Engineering/ Electronics and Instrumentation/ Instrumentation Engineering will be considered as equivalent for admission to Applied Electronics and Instrumentation.
