Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Karnataka shall be conducting the Post Graduate Super Speciality Entrance Test - 2011 on 19.06.2011 for determining the eligibility for admission of students to DM and MCh courses for the academic year 2011-12 and for admission to seats in Bangalore Medical College & Research Institute, Bangalore, Kidwai Memorial Institute of Oncology, Bangalore, Jayadeva Institute of Cardiology, Bangalore, Vijayanagara Institute of Medical Sciences & Research Centre, Bellary and Institute of Nephro Urology, Bangalore.



Eligibility:


A person shall be eligible for admission to Post Graduate Super Speciality degree courses only if he / she:




a) is a Citizen of India.



b) has a MBBS Degree from a University established by law in India as recognised by the MCI and must possess recognized degree of MD / MS (or its equivalent recognised degree) as shown below, from a University established by law in India and recognised by the MCI or any other University recognized by the Medical Council of India and declared as equivalent:

c) has not completed 48 years of age on the date fixed as the last date for submitting the application for the Entrance Test.


d) has not failed more than twice in the Post Graduate degree examination.



Entrance Test Fee:
The candidates are required to pay the prescribed fee of Rs. 5,000/- (Rupees five thousand only) through Demand Draft in favour of ‘Registrar, RGUHS, Bangalore’.

3. B.Sc. in Anaesthesia Technology: 3 years duration.
Minimum Qualification for Admission:
Pass in Two year Pre University Examination or equivalent with a Science group having secured an aggregate of 45%* in Science subjects

*40% in case of SC/ST Candidates.

Selection of Candidates for the above mentioned courses will be based on the marks obtained by the Candidate in the Qualifying Examination only.

Please note there will not be any Entrance Test.

4. PC B.Sc. in Nursing: 2 years duration.
Minimum Qualification for Admission:
The Candidate seeking admission to this course must:
a) Hold a Diploma in General Nursing & Midwifery (GNM)
b) Be a registered nurse
c) Have a minimum of 2years experience in a hospital or community health nursing
d) Have passed PUC examination in Arts/Science/Commerce
e) Have working knowledge of English
f) Shall be medically fit
g) Have good personal and professional record

INSTRUCTIONS:
1. Application form for all the courses are available online at the NIMHANS website www.nimhans.kar.nic.in The applications have to be filled online and submitted online. Printout of the Application Abstract with the latest passport size photograph affixed (in the column provided) along with the Demand Draft drawn in favour of The Director, NIMHANS, Bangalore560 029 and relevant enclosures should be sentto the Director, NIMHANS, Hosur Road, Bangalore -560 029 by superscribing the name of the cou rse(s) applied for on the Envelope without fail.

2. The application fee is Rs.1000/- per course for General candidates &Rs.750/- per course for SC/ST candidates.

3. Foreign Nationals are required to submit their applications through the Diplomatic Channel (through the Ministry of External Affairs). Sponsored candidates should submit their application through proper channel. The candidates should produce the sponsorship certificate in the prescribed format.

4. AGE LIMIT: The age of candidates for all B.Sc. courses should be between minimum of 17 years and maximum of 25 years as on 01.08.2011.
For PC B.Sc. course, the candidate who is above 48 years of age on 31st December 2011 shall not be eligible (As per INC guidelines).

AIISH Academic Programmes and Eligibility Criteria

1. BASLP:
Eligibility Students who have passed with minimum of 509^ in II PUCinthePCMBgrouporanyotherexamination (10+2) considered as equivalent thereto by the University of Mysore with at least three subjects from among Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Biology, who have not completed 21 years, as on 1" July of the academic year in which admission is sought, are eligible for admission.

Entrance Examination will be conducted at Mysore, Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata. Chennai, Bhopal for admission to the BASLP programme on 4th June 2011 (Saturday) in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Biology

2. B. S. Ed. (Hearing Impairment):
Eligibility Students who have passed B. Ed. degree examination of the University of Mysore or any other examination recognized as equivalent thereto by the University of Mysore with minimum of 50%" of the aggregate and who have not completed 30 years of age as on the 1" July of the academic year in which admission is sought are eligible for admission. Relaxation of age (up to 10 years) shall be considered for candidates on deputation/ in-service with the approval of the University

3. P. G. Diploma in Clinical Linguistics for Speech-language Pathology:
Eligibility Candidates with B. Sc. (Sp. & Hg) or equivalent from any recognized university and approved by RCI with 50% marks.

4. P. G. Diploma in Forensic Speech Sciences and Technology:
Eligibility Candidates having B. Sc. with Physics/ Mathematics/Electronics/Computer Science/Forensic Science/Speech and Hearing as major component at 8. Sc. Level; B.EJB. Tech./Electronlcs/ComputerScience/Communication;MBBS from a recognized University /Institute.

5. P. G. Diploma in Neuro-Audiology:
Eligibility Candidates having B. Sc.(Sp. & Hg.) /BASLP/MBBS/Masters in clinical psychology/ experimental psychology/cognitive psychology with Neuro - psychology.

6. M.Sc.(Audiology)& M.Sc.(Speech-Language Pathology):
Eligibility B.Sc.(Sp.&Hg)/BASLP DegreeoftheUniversity of Mysore or any other University approved by RCI and considered equivalent with 50% marks. Entrance examination will be held on 16.07.2011 at AIISH. Mysore.

7. M. S.Ed. (Hearing Impairment):
Eligibility Candidates who have passed B.Ed, degree examination and B. Ed. (HIJ/B.S. Ed. (HI) or equivalent of the University of Mysore or any other examination recognized as equivalent thereto by the University of Mysore wilh minimum of 50%*of the aggregate and who have not completed 30 years of age as on the 1" July of the academic year in which admission is sought are eligible for admission. 8. Ph. D. (Audiology / Speech- Language Pathology):
Eligibility M. Sc. (Audiology / Speech Language Pathology)/ MASLP/M.Sc. (Speech & Hearing) OR equivalent with 55%* marks with one year work/research experience.

9. Post Doctoral Fellowship:
Eligibility Ph. D. from a recognized University in the area of speech, language and / or hearing. Research experience and at least two publications as main author singly / jointly in indexed journals.

A candidate will be eligible for SSCET 2011 and for selection/admission to a course In Superspeciality of M.Ch. (Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery) by fulfilling following conditions:

1. The candidate must be an Indian national.
2. The candidate must be medically fit.

3. The candidate must possess recognized postgraduate degree MS - General Surgery from a medical college recognized by MCI. The candidates who have appeared and completed MS - General Surgery or equivalent examination recognized by MCI are also eligible to submit application forms. However, they will be considered for selection, on production of passing certificate on the date of counseling.

4. State Medical Council / MCI registration is a precondition for appearing for SSCET 2011 and its proof should be submitted.

5. The minimum percentage of marks secured by the candidates in the SSCET 2011 for the purpose of eligibility for admission to Super specialty courses shall be 50% for all the candidates.

After online submission, 2 copies of acknowledgment with barcode will be generated on the screen. This should be printed and duly completed by the candidate. Two copies of Identity Card will be printed with the acknowledgement. Identity Cards are to be duly filled by the candidate in all respects.



One copy of this acknowledgment and Identity Card along with Demand draft and Attested copies of required documents are to be sent by post / courier or submission in person at Registrar (PG Section), Veer Narmad South Gujarat University, Udhna-Magdalla Road, Surat, 395007. on or before 02/06/2011



The cost of application form along with the information Brochure of SSCET 2011 and the examination fee is Rs.4200/- ( Rs.1200/- for Application form with brochure + Rs. 3000/- for Examination Fees) to be payable by Cash / Demand Draft / Pay Order of any scheduled commercial bank drawn in favor of the 'The Veer Narmad South Gujarat University, Surat' Payable at Surat.


Important Dates:
1. Online submission of application forms: on or before 24/05/2011
2. Submission of application forms at VNSGU office: on or before 02/06/2011
3. Date of receiving of Admit Cards from VNSGU office: 01/06/2011 onwards
4. Date of Entrance Examination: 12/06/2011, (Sunday), 10.00 am to 1.00 pm (Reporting time 9.30 a.m.)
5. Declaration of Result & Provisional Merit List: By 15/06/2011
