PGDM Admissions

Loyola Institute of Business Administration (LIBA), Chennai has invited applications for admission to PG Diploma Courses for the academic year 2012.

Eligibility:
Minimum three-year Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in any discipline, from a recognised university, with a consistent record of first class in Std X, Std XII and graduation. Final year degree students, who expect to complete their final examinations and other requirements for obtaining the degree by June 05, 2012 can also apply.

Admission Procedure:
Registering for XAT or CAT is a pre-requisite for applying to LIBA's PGDM program.
a) Get a demand draft (DD) for Rs.1000/- favouring "LIBA CHENNAI" payable at Chennai or
b) Pay Rs. 1000/- at any of the specified IMS learning centres and obtain the IMS receipt and Admission bulletin or
c) Pay Rs 1000/- in cash at the LIBA admission Office in person.

Fill up the LIBA application form by clicking on LIBA registration link at http://liba.sify.net/liba_candidate_registration.php to create and receive by e-mail a unique LIBA-ID and password.

Login with your LIBA ID and Password. Take a print-out of the Payment Advice form. Mention LIBA-ID, Name and XAT-ID / CAT-No on the reverse of the DD and send DD / IMS receipt along with the Payment Advice form to The Admissions Office, LIBA, Loyola College, Nungambakkam, Chennai – 600034.

Candidates who have applied to LIBA will be short listed only on the basis of their XAT 2012 / CAT 2011 scores.

Short listed candidates will be called for Group Discussion and Interview for final selection at Bangalore, Chennai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Kolkata and Mumbai. Candidates can give their choice of interview centre, however it is subject to the discretion of LIBA.

Eligibility:


(i) A candidate will be eligible for admission to M.Phil. / Ph.D. program, if he/she has obtained the Master’s Degree or its equivalent recognized by the University in a subject relevant to his proposed field of research with not less than 55% marks in the aggregate or its equivalent CPI/ CGPA/ NAG, and had also obtained the Bachelor’s Degree or its equivalent recognized by the University with not less than 50% marks in the aggregate or its equivalent CPI/CGPA/NAG, subject to any further requirements for eligibility that may be laid down by
the University from time to time

(ii) A candidate, working in an externally funded research project in the University, who is otherwise eligible, may be permitted for admission to M.Phil. / Ph.D. program while continuing to work in the project subject to certification by the Principal Investigator of the project that the subject of the project and the proposed M.Phil. / Ph.D. topic of the candidate overlaps.

Candidate eligible for admission to M. Phil./Ph.D. programme in more than one Department/Centre/Unit in the same or a different Faculty of the University can apply for admission in not more than two disciplines.

How To Apply:


The candidate should fill the Online Application Form latest by 05.01.2012 available on the Controller’s Office website www.amucontrollerexams.com and the generated PDF copy of the Application Form should be submitted in the Office of the Chairmen / Coordinator / Director of the concerned Department/Centre/Unit of the candidate’s first choice/preference as indicated in his / her Application Form, along with the Demand Draft of Rs. 500/- drawn in favour of Finance Officer , AMU, Aligarh, payable at Aligarh or Cash Receipt of an equivalent amount from AMU Cash Counter (Non refundable).

The Generated PDF copy of the Application Form must reach the concerned Office on or before 12.01.2012 till 5:00 p.m. and in no case (including Postal delay) the duly filled in Application Form will be accepted beyond the last date.
