MPhil, PhD in Education Admissions 2011-2012
Delhi University has invited applications for admission to the Master of Philosophy (MPhil) and Doctoral (Ph.D) Programmes in Education, offered both in a full-time and a part-time mode.
M.Phil:-
Eligibility Conditions for Full-time Candidates:
i) The minimum qualifications for admission to the MPhil (Full-time) Programme shall be a Master's Degree of an Indian University or an equivalent degree of a foreign university, in Education, or an allied subject with a high Second Class i.e., minimum of 55% marks in the aggregate or an equivalent grade.
Eligibility Conditions for Part-time Candidates:
i) The minimum qualifications for admission to the MPhil (Part-time) Programme shall be a Master's Degree of an Indian University, or an equivalent degree of a foreign university, in Education or an allied subject, with a high Second Class i.e., minimum of 55% marks in the aggregate or an equivalent grade. ii) Preference will be given to candidates having experience of working as educational practitioners.
Ph.D:-
Conditions of Eligibility and Process of Selection:
To be eligible for admission to the PhD programme, a candidate must have obtained a Master’s or an MPhil degree of the University of Delhi, or any other recognized University, or any degree recognized as equivalent in the subject in which the candidate wishes to pursue a course of research, or in an allied subject. She/he must have obtained either a minimum of 50% marks or equivalent grading in the MPhil degree or a minimum of 55% marks or equivalent grading in the Master’s degree. Students having fellowships and/or scholarships instituted by the University, national and international agencies under schemes approved/and recognized by the University of Delhi, through procedures laid down by the University, may be registered provisionally by the Departmental Research Committee (DRC) and Board of Research Studies.

Application forms can be availed at a Price of Rs. 350/- (at the SBI Counter).
For outstation candidates the prospectus may be obtained by sending a demand draft (from any nationalised bank), for Rs. 425/-, payable at Delhi, in favour of the Registrar, University of Delhi at the following address : Department of Education, 33, Chhatra Marg, University of Delhi, Delhi - 110 007.
Completed application forms are to be submitted in Room No. 4 of the Department of Education, University of Delhi, 33, Chhatra Marg, University of Delhi, Delhi – 110 007.
