U.P. TECHNICAL UNIVERSITY, LUCKNOW
STATE ENTRANCE EXAMINATION (SEE – UPTU: 2008)
Uttar Pradesh Technical University, Lucknow is conducting State Entrance Examination (SEE UPTU 2008) on 19th and 20th Arpil, 2008 for admission to degree courses in Engineering (B.Tech.)/Pharmacy (B.Pharm.)/Architecture (B.Arch)/Hotel Management (BHMCT)/Fashion & Apparel Design Technology (BFAD) and Post Graduate Courses MCA/MBA of Government Aided and Private unaided institutins affiliated to U.P. Technical University along with some other Universites of Uttar Pradesh in academic session 2008-2009.
This Entrance Examination is open only to the candidates who have passed the qualifying examination from any institution located in U.P. or whose parents are domicile of U.P subject to the eligibility conditions given in the information brochure(for details click here http://www.uptu.nic.in/notice/InfoBrouchureSEE2008/Final_Brochure_2008_Inside.pdf). If the candidate has passed qualifying examination from outside of U.P., he/she has to produce domicile certificate of his/her parents (Father OR Mother only) at the time of counselling.
PURCHASE AND SUBMISSION OF OMR APPLICATION FORMS
Information Brochure may be purchased from January 17, 2008 to February 28, 2008 (both days inclusive) from Head Post Offices and Mukhya Dak Ghar (MDGs) of Uttar Pradesh; New Delhi, Nainital and Dehradun also. However, the University will not be responsible if the forms are not available at any of such places mentioned above on certain date(s).
The candidates may also get application form by post from the Registrar, SEE-UPTU: 2008, U. P. Technical University, I.E.T. Campus, Sitapur Road, Lucknow-21, by sending a Crossed Bank Draft in favour of ‘Finance Officer, A/C SEE-UPTU: 2008’ payable at Lucknow alongwith two self addressed stickers so as to reach on or before February 20, 2008 at SEE-UPTU: 2008 office. The candidate should write his / her Name and Address on the back of the Bank Draft.
The Cost of Information Brochure and application form including examination fee will be as under:-
General/ OBC Category: Rs. 1,000/-(By cash) Rs. 1,050(By post)
SC/ST Category and Female of all Category: Rs. 500/-(By cash) Rs. 550(By post)
The Application form and brochure will be sent to the candidates by Registered Post / Speed Post upto 20 February 2008 only.
Completed application form duly filled must reach to Registrar, (SEE-UPTU), U. P. Technical University, I.E.T. Campus, Sitapur Road, Lucknow-226021 upto March 07, 2008 (5.00 p.m.) by Speed Post / Registered Post only.
TUITION FEES ETC.
The fees in Govt. and Govt. aided colleges / institutes is Rs. 25,000/- per year for B.Tech./B.Arch. and Rs. 19,000=00 per year for MBA / MCA programmes, excluding Hostel fees.
The fees in Private Institutions / Govt. aided Institutions running self finance courses will be as per the latest notification / orders issued by Govt. of Uttar Pradesh/ Fee Fixation Committee.

Last date for sending the application form by post from U.P.Technical University, Lucknow: 20 February, 2008
Last date for receipt of completed Application Form in the office of Registrar, U. P. Technical University, I.E.T. Campus, Sitapur Road, Lucknow (U.P.) 226021: 07 March, 2008 (Till 5.00 P.M.)
Dates of Examination: 19 April, 2008 (Saturday) & 20 April, 2008 (Sunday)
Declaration of Result: 31 May, 2008
The application form, complete in all respects, should reach ‘The Registrar (SEE), U.P. Technical University, I.E.T. Campus Sitapur Road, Lucknow’ on or before March 07, 2008.
