WEST BENGAL – MBA ADMISSION 2011 – UNIVERSITY OF BURDWAN


Applications are invited for the following 2-year Programmes approved by UGC and AICTE for the session 2011-2012:
• MBA
• MBA (Human Resource)
• MBA (Tourism)

Eligibility :
(a) Graduate in Arts, Commerce, Science, and in any other branches of Social Science in the 10+2+3 mode or
(b) Graduate in Engineering, Technology, Medicine, Pharmacy and Agriculture.

Selection Procedure : Selection of candidates for admission to the above Programmes will be made on the basis of two-phase admission test. The first phase includes Management Aptitude Test (MAT) to be conducted by All India Management Association (AIMA) in the month of December, 2010 The second phase comprises Group Discussion & Viva-voce test to be conducted by the Centre (Short listed candidates on the basis of written test score will be called for GD. & Viva-voce). Final selection will be made on the basis of total marks obtained in Group Discussion, Viva-voce and written test taken together. However, who after satisfying the above mentioned eligibility have appeared in the MAT February 10, May 10, September 10 and other tests like CAT, XAT and GMAT are also eligible to apply. For this purpose, along with the University application form, candidates must submit the photocopy of the valid scorecard (1 year) held by them.

How To Apply : Eligible candidates willing to apply for this Programme should compulsorily obtain the University application form before submitting MAT form (for Dec. 2010) to the AlMA. The University form may be obtained in person or anybody on his/her behalf from the University sales counter at Rajbati, Burdwan from 26.10.2010 to 16.12.2010 on payment of Rs. 300/- in cash and production of relevant degree mark-sheet between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. on all University week days. Request for outstation candidates for sending form by post must reach Secretary, Faculty Council (Arts), The University of Burdwan, P.O. Rajbati, Dist. Burdwan not later than 30.11.2010. Outstation candidates must enclose attested photocopy of degree mark-sheet, a crossed Demand Draft of Rs. 300/- favouring “Finance Officer, The University of Burdwan”, payable at SBI, Burdwan, and a self-addressed stamped (Rs. 5/-) envelope. The University form & Information Sheet can also be downloaded from the University website: www.buruniv.ac.in and candidates obtaining the form from the website must enclose a Demand Draft of Rs. 300/- in favour of Finance Officer, The University of Burdwan payable at SBI, Burdwan at the time of submitting the same.
