Admission 2009,Master in Development Studies

The central university of Bihar invites applications for admission to Master in development studies (2009-10), designed to develop critical perspectives on models of development. The programme prepares the students for inter-disciplinary research and teaching and for careers in development organizations.
The minimum eligibility for admission shall be of 55% (50% for SC/ST candidates) of marks in the Bachelor degree examination.
Applicants on the basis of performance in Written Test (to be held on August 01, 2009 at Patna, New Delhi, Mumbai, Mysore and Kolkata) will be called for Group discussion and Interview at Patna on August 24-25, 2009 for final selection.
Reservation for SC, ST, OBC and other categories shall be as per UGC guidelines. Application fee for all candidates is Rs. 500/- to be paid only through crossed DD, drawn in favour of ‘Central University of Bihar’ payable at Patna. Submission of application form with required documents and fee, begins on July 06, 2009 at Central University of Bihar Counter, (CIMP campus), Phaneeswarnath Renu Hindi Bhawan, Chajjubagh, Patna-800001 and must reach latest by July 24, 2009.

Admission forms can also be downloaded from Department website www.itiharyana.org.in Centralized Admission will be held in the campus of Govt. Art School Rohtak. Qualifications for admission in Art & Craft Course are as below
10+2 under the 10+2 System with minimum 50% marks with Drawing as compulsory subject in 10th/Matric or 10+2 with 50% marks & Painter Trade under NCVT or SCVT from a recognized Institute or 10+2 with Commercial Art or drawing and painting from a recognized Institute/University with minimum 50% marks or 10+2 with Fine Arts subject from a recognized Institute/University with minimum 50% marks or Graduate with Fine Arts subject from a recognized Institute/University with minimum 50% marks in 10+2 or Post Graduate with Fine Art subject from a recognized Institute/University with minimum 50% marks in 10+2 or 10+2 pass with Visual Arts subject under the Vocational Education Scheme from recognized institute/University with minimum 50% marks
Note: Merit will be calculated on the basis of percentage of marks obtained in 10+2
Age: 15-40 years as on 01.07.2009, Upper age limit is relaxable by 5 years in case of Ex-Serviceman and war widows

1st admission (above 65%): 13.07.2009, 60% & above: 14.07.2009, Below 60%: 15.07.2009

The forms duly completed should be submitted on or before 10.07.2009 (4.30 pm) in the office of the Headmaster, Govt. Art School Rohtak. The incomplete applications and the applications received after 10.07.2009 (4.30 pm.) shall be rejected. Candidate should appear personally for admission along with original certificate/caution money etc on the specified date.
