ADMISSION NOTICE FOR B.E. COURSES 2008-2009 OF DCE/ NSIT

Applications are invited form the candidates who have appeared in CEE-2008 conducted by University of Delhi for Delhi Region and are placed in merit for admission of B.E. Courses under Faculty of Technology (University of Delhi) in Delhi College of Engineering (DCE) and Netaji Subhas Institute of Technology (NISIT). Admission will be made form amongst those who will apply on the prescribed form strictly on the basis of Rank of CEE-2008.

Applications are also invited form the candidate who have appeared in AIEEE-2008 and have been declared eligible for Central Counseling by CBSE for admission to B.E. Courses in the above two institutes for 15% seats out side Delhi Region. Admission will be made on the basis of Rank of AIEEE-2008.

No Candidate will be admitted unless he/she applied for admission on the prescribed form latest by the date given below.

The application form can be obtained from the Reception counter, Administrative Building, Delhi College of Engineering, Shahbad Daulatpur Main Bawana Road, Delhi-42 in person, on all working days form Monday to Friday between 10.00 AM to 4.00 PM. on submission of a Pay order or Crossed Demand Draft of Rs.500/- drawn in favour of “Director, Delhi College of Engineering, Payable at Delhi”.

For obtaining Application form by post, a crossed Demand Draft of Rs.600/- (inclusive of postal Charges) drawn in favour of “Director, Delhi College of Engineering”. Payable at Delhi, must reach the “Administrative Officer, Delhi College of Engineering, Shahbad Daulatpur, Main Bawana Road, Delhi-110042 latest by 25-06-2008” Please write “Request for B.E. form” on the top of the envelope and must enclose Demand Draft and 3 slips of 10cm x 5cm Containing the address to which the form is to be sent.

ELIGIBILITY: For admission to Full Time Courses, valid GATE score is essential, Details of eligibility for each course are uploaded on the website: www.dce.ac.in and can also be had from the Reception Counter of the college. Separate Application Forms must be submitted of courses offered by each department.


Ph.D. PROGRAMMES:
Ph.D. Programs are offered in the following academic departments:
Civil/ Electrical/ Electronics & Communication/ Mechanical/ Production/ Computer/ Information Technology/ Polymer Technology/ Applied Mathematics/ Applied Physics.

The number of scholarship/ seats available for the academic session 2008-2009 are 05, Scholarships are admissible as per Govt. of India rules.

ELIGIBILITY:
a) For Engineering Discipline: Master of Engineering/ Master of Technology (M.E./ M.Tech) in the appropriate Branch from a recognized University/ Institution.

b) For Applied Science: Master of Science (M.Sc.) in the appropriate Branch from a recognized University / Institution.

Shortlisted candidates shall be called for interview. No TA/DA is admissible for interview. NET qualified candidates having UGC/ CSIR Scholarships can also be considered for admission to Full Time Ph.D. Programs. This would be in addition to the number of scholarships/ seats mentioned above.

Leaflet containing details of the Programmes, admission proceedings and Application Forms, can be obtained in person on submission of a Pay Order or Crossed Demand Draft of Rs. 500/- drawn in favour of the “Director, Delhi College of Engineering payable at Delhi” from the Reception Counter, Administrative Block, Bawana Road, Delhi-110042, on all working days, i.e. Monday to Friday, 10.30 a.m. to 4.00 p.m. from 26.06.2006 onwards.

The request by post for the forms, accompanied by a Crossed Demand Draft of Rs. 600/- (inclusive of postal charges) drawn in favour of “Director, Delhi College of Engineering, payable at Delhi, must reach the college latest by the dates specified below. Request for application form must indicate the applicant’s name, address, the course for which admission is sought and three self addressed slips of size 10 cm x 5 cm.
