PRE-SEA TRAINING

NUSI/ITF Trust for Indian Seafarers invite applications from desirous candidates who wish to join the Merchant Navy, Pre-Sea Training Courses in the GP Department (6 Months) and Saloon Department (6 Months) will be conducted at NUSI Maritime Academy, Goa and Dr. Leo Barnes Pre-Sea Academy, Nhava.

ELGIBILITY Criteria for PG DEPARTMENT:
Age as on date of application: Not les than 25 years.
Educational Qualification: Passed with Aggregate 40% marks either in 10th or in 12th Standard from a recognized Board with English, Science, Mathematics as subjects and with minimum 40% marks in English language.
Eyesight: 6x6 in both eyes. No Colour Blindness.
Height: Min. 5ft. 2 inch. Or 159 cmsl; Weight: Min. 50 kgs.

ELIGIBILITY Criteria for SALOON DEAPARTMENT
Age as on date of application: Not les than 25 years.
Educational Qualification: Pass in any stream from recognized Board with 40% Marks in 12th Standard and 40% marks in English either in 10th or 12th Standard.
Eyesight: 6x6 preferably. No Colour Blindness.
Height: Min. 5ft. 2 inch. Or 159 cmsl; Weight: Min. 50 kgs.

GP: 1st July, 2008 Saloon: 1st July, 2008

Last Date of Submission of Application for the above courses: 30th April, 2008.

On receipt of applications, the aspirants will be sent an interview call to attend the written and oral test. Upon successful completion of the written, oral examination and medical the candidates will be selected to undergo Pre-Sea Training.

The successful completion of this course does not guarantee on board training, which is mandatory for employment.
