For admission to the five year Integrated Master of Arts Programme in one among the following three disciplines, namely economics, English and development studies.

Eligibility:

Candidates who have passed 10+2 or equivalent or appearing in 2009 with a minimum of 60% marks in aggregate (55% in the case of SC/ST and persons with physical disability(PD)]

They must not have been born earlier than 1st October, 1984 (for SC/ST/PD categories it is 1st October, 1979)

Reservation of seats:

As per Government of India rules.

Application procedure:

Two modes available :
On-line and On-line assisted modes.

Pattern of Examination:

Two and half hours of objective type questions administered through computers and a half hour of essay writing. For details of syllabus and topics visit the website.

Important Dates:

Examination date and time: Sunday, 3rd May 2009: 10.00- 13.00 hours

Examination centers:

Bangalore, Chennai, coimbatore, Hyderabad, Kochi, Kolkatta, Mumbai and New delhi.

Submission of application through On-line assisted mode: From 01.03.2009 to 27.03.2009 .

Sale of information Brochure and application forms:

From 01.03.2009 to 23.03.2009

Submission of application through HSEE Website On-line mode from 01.03.2009 to 31.03.2009.

Last date for submission of completed application form with photo and signature:
17.00 hrs on 04.04.2009.

examination fee : Rs.400/-(for girls and those belonging to SC/ST categories and Rs.800/- for all others.

Either On-line guided through the website or On-line assisted through designated offices from where information brochure and application form can be obtained as well as filled forms can be submitted.
