UNDERGRADUATE ADMISSION NOTIFICATION 2008-2009

Applications are invited form the candidates of Tamil Nadu for admission to the following courses for the year 2008-2009

1. Bachelor of Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry – B.V.Sc. and A.H.
2. Bachelor of Fisheries Science – B.F.Sc.
3. Bachelor of Technology (Food Processing Technology) – B.Tech (FPT)

1. APPLICATION FORM BY POST: Application forms can be obtained by post form any one of the following colleges on a written request along with a demand draft for Rs.500/- (Rs.250/- in the case of SC/ST candidates) and a self addressed envelop (Size 37.5x28cm) with stamp for Rs.40/- and the sale of application commences on 19-05-2008.
(i) The Dean, Madras Veterinary College Vepery, Chennai-7 (ii) The Dean, Veterinary College and Research Institute, Namakkal – 1, and (iii) The Dean, Fisheries College and Research Institute, Thoothukudi – 8.

2. IN PERSON: Candidates can obtain the application form in person from the following centers p a written request along with Demand Draft for Rs.500/- (Rs.250/- in the case of SC/ST candidates)

(5) The Professor and Head, Department of Clinics, Veterinary Hospital Campus, Trichy Road, Namakkal-637001 and all the above three Colleges.

3. ELIGIBILITY: A pass in the Higher Secondary Course (10+2) or any other examination considered equivalent with the following subjects under Academic Stream for B.V.Sc. & AH and B.F.Sc. degree programme (1) Biology or Zoology and Botany (2) Chemistry (3) Physics and Fisheries for B.F.Sc. For B.Tech., the following subjects under Academic Stream: (1) Mathematics (2) Chemistry (3) Physics.

4. DEMAND DRAFT should be drawn in favour of “The Finance Officer, TANUVAS, Chennai-600051” payable at Chennai only.

5. SUBMISSION OF APPLICATIONS: Completed applications must be sent to “The Chairman, Admission Committee (UG), Tamil Nadu Veterinary and Animal Sciences University, Madhavaram Milk Colony, Chennai-600051”.
