Eligibility:
Candidates for XIME’s Post Graduate Diploma in Business Management (PGDBM) are required to have a bachelor’s degree from a recognised university with a minimum aggregate of 50% marks for all subjects taken together (45% for SC/ST candidates). Candidates who are appearing for their final year examination and are awaiting their results may also apply. They should have maintained an average of 50% marks in the programme until that time. They should also complete all their degree examinations before 21st June, 2008. Such candidates are also required to provide proof of passing the degree examination with the minimum required marks, latest by 30th September 2008.
Admission Procedure:
1. Obtain XIME Application Form & Programme Brochure
The above may be obtained from XIME on payment of Rs.750 in cash or DD favouring ‘XIME,Bangalore’ payable at Bangalore. Application forms can also be obtained from designated IMS learning centers. Alternatively, application form can be downloaded from the website of XIME www.xime.org. Downloaded form may be filled up and sent along with the registration fee of Rs. 750/- in the form of a DD favouring ‘XIME, Bangalore’.
2. Registration for XAT
Candidates also need to register and appear for XAT 2008 conducted by Xavier Labour Relations Institute (XLRI), Jamshedpur, on an all India basis at different centres on January 06, 2008. XAT 2008 Form and other relevant details on XAT are available online at http://www.xlri.edu/xat. XIME is an Associate Member for this Test
3. Registration for XIME Admission
Applicants desirous of joining XIME need to obtain the XIME application form and register for admission to XIME. They should have appeared for the XAT admission test conducted by XLRI. CAT candidates are also considered. Applicants should indicate the XAT/CAT score for the year in the application form (if received). If scores are not received at the time of filling up the application,a copy of the score card must be sent by email / post so as to reach XIME latest by 31st January 2008.
4. Interview centers: Bangalore, Chennai, Hyderabad & Kochi.

XLRI has no role either in the selection process or in the conduct of XIME’s PGDBM Programme

THEME:
Globalization has impinged on management education more than on any other area of higher education. The subject of this conference is how management education across the world is responding to the ineluctable demands of globalization.It will bring together experienced academics from different parts of the world, as well as leading figures from Indian business and industry, to reflect and deliberate on what it would take for B-Schools to be effective and credible in their responses.Those responses would need to be over a wide front: from curriculum and pedagogy to industry–academic partnership. Above all, harnessing the possibilities of the internet and the knowledge economy.
Participants will review how various national management education systems, on the cusp of change, are coping with these tasks. Representing all the five continents in an exceptional gathering, the participants will provide a purposeful focus on management education for the benefit of both B-Schools and Indian corporate organizations in their role as demandeurs of trained managers for the country’s $ 1 Trillion economy. In keeping with its service to the cause of management education, XIME is pleased to present this conference as the third in the series that it has been hosting since 2005.
