The Pathway to Excellence

The Australian Government offers a range of study and research wards available to candidates in the Asia-Pacific region, including India.

THE ENDEAVOUR SCHOLARSHIPS
Bring to Australia leading researchers, executives and students to undertake short or long-term study, research and professional development in a broad range of disciplines, and enables Australians to do the same in India. The Program is competitive and is managed by Department of Education, Employment and Workplace Relations (DEEWR).

Endeavour Scholarships include four types of awards:
1. Postgraduate and Postdoctoral Awards (1-5 years)
2. Vocational Education & Training Awards (1-2.5 years)
3. Executive Awards (1-4 months)
4. Student Exchanges

Deadline for all awards is 31st July 2008

AUSTRALIAN LEADERSHIP AWARDS (ALA)
For longer-term post-graduate study in Australia at Masters or Doctoral level. The scholarships are for those who have the potential to assume leadership roles and can influence social and economic policy reform and development outcomes at home and in the region. Te scheme is managed by the Australian Agency for International Development (AusAID). Applications are open to all fields of study However, applications are encouraged from those in international trade, pandemics, security and climate change (including clean energy).

Applicants should have a record of high-level undergraduate or postgraduate academic achievement, advanced English language ability and an unconditional offer form an Australian University. An IELTS/TOEFL score in mandatory.
