ONLINE TRAINING COURSE ON DISASTER MANAGEMENT


National Institute of Disaster Management, New Delhi and The World Bank Institute, Washington are offering the following On-line Training Courses on Disaster Management:-
(i) Comprehensive Disaster Risk Management Framework (June 30 to August 8, 2008)
(ii) Community Based Disaster Risk Management (Sept. 22 to Oct. 17, 2008)

The course on Comprehensive Disaster Risk Management Framework is offered to general development practitioners interested in issues related to natural disaster risk management. Persons who have successfully completed the course on Comprehensive Disaster Management Framework or having experience of working with Community are eligible for the course on Community Based Disaster Management. The details of these courses can be accessed in www.nidm.gov.in

Interested persons may submit their applications on a plain paper stating name, age, educational qualifications, professional experience, current occupation, email id, telephone number and address for communication alongwith course fee of Rs.1500/- for course on comprehensive Disaster Risk Management Framework and Rs.1000/- for Community Based Disaster Risk Management in form of Demand Draft favouring Executive Director, NIDM payable at New Delhi.

Applications should be sent to Executive Director, National Institute of Disaster Management, IIPA, Campus, IP Estate Ring Road, New Delhi-110002 so as to reach NIDM latest by 16th June, 2008 for Comprehensive Disaster Risk Management Framework and latest by 15th August, 2008 for course on Community Based Disaster Management.
