DECK CADETS (FEB 2009 Batch)

Aproved under Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU), Directorate General of Shipping Govt. of India and Maritime Port Authority (MPA), Singapore.


GRADUATE MARINE ENGINEERS (JAN 2009 Batch)

Approved under Directorate of Shipping Govt. of India and Maritime Port Authority (MPA), Singapore.



The selected candidates will be enroled for

DECK CADETS: (Last Date of Application: 28th October 2008)
-One year Diploma in Nautical Science course at SIMS, Lonavala.
-Followed by minimum 18 months of practical shipboard training before appearing for 2nd Mate's examination.


GRADUATE MARINE ENGINEERS
(Last Date of application: 28th October 2008)
One year Diploma in Marine Engineering training at SIMS, Lonavala including 6 months hands-on practical training in the Ship-in-Campus - a unique opportunity for candidates.
Followed by 6 months shipboard training before appearing for Class IV examinations.


ELIGIBILITY:

DECK CADETS (DNS)
Age/Marital Status: Age as of Date of Joining: 10+2 candidates - <20 years BSc candidates - <25 years BE/B.Tech candidates - <25 years; Unmarried

Academic (Results must be obtained at 1st attempt):
All Board (Class XII: Min Av Score - 60% ; PCM Min - 60% OR BSc- Physics/ Chemistry/ Maths/ Electronics with min of 55% in final year along with min of 55% in PCM during Class XII OR BE/B.Tech - Any stream from an AICTE/UGC approved institute.

Language: English shall be one of the subjects with min marks scored of 50%. in Class X or XII.

Eyesight: 6/6 vision, no colour blindness, no use of corrective lenses allowed.


GRADUATE MARINE ENGINEERS (GME)

Age/Marital Status: Age as of Date of Joining: less than 25 years; Unmarried.

Academic (Results must be obtained at 1st attempt):
Degree in B.E (Mechanical)/ Naval Architecture from an AICTE Approved institute, Deemed University with min marks of 50% in final year.

Language: English shall be one of the subjects with min marks scored of 50%. in Class X, XII, or Degree.

Eyesight: No colour blindness, use of corrective lenses permitted.


Approved Educational Loans from HDFC, SBI & Nationalized Banks available.
Scholarships available basis SIMS entrance test and first semester results.
