About the Department
The department offers Master of Computer Applications (MCA) since 1994. The department motivates staff and students to promote Industry Institute Interaction and R&D activities. In addition to regular curriculum the department organizes technical seminars, symposia, workshops, industrial visits, in-plant training to expose the students to the real world environments and to enable them to gain practical knowledge. The department has excellent modern (advanced) computing facilities with latest software and Hardware. After the office hours, the computer laboratories are kept open for the benefit of students and staff till night 12'O clock. Memorandum of understanding (MoU) have been signed with various Industries, Institutions of higher learning and R/D organizations like IBM, Microsoft, Oracle, Cisco, Sun Microsystems, Infosys, Wipro, etc., to enhance problem solving skills of students through Industry oriented projects, applying state of the art techniques

Scope of study of MCA
Master of computer applications (MCA), the three years post graduate degree programme, provides an intensive training in computer science and applications areas, developing the students as computer software professionals. The MCA curriculum provides adequate inputs in the areas of computer science and application, financial management, economics, information management, and hardware aspects. The specialized topics such as object oriented programming, computer graphics, multimedia systems, computer network, operating systems, database management systems, middleware technologies, and distributed computing, prepare the students to meet the requirements of the enterprises. Indian software and IT industries are poised for phenomenal growth within the next decade, which means an enormous requirement of software professionals running into many hundred thousands. Thus, the MCA graduates have excellent opportunities for employment both in India and abroad

Eligibility for admission: A pass in any recognized bachelor's degree of minimum 3 years duration in any discipline with mathematics or with mathematics at 10+2 level as one of the subjects
