MBA Admissions

University Business School, Panjab University Regional Centre, Ludhiana has invited applications for admission to Master of Business Administration (MBA), two year full time Management Programme of Session 2012-13.

Eligibility for MBA:
A recognized Bachelor’s degree in any discipline with not less than 50% marks in the aggregate or a pass in the final examination conducted by ICAI / ICWAI / ICSI or AMIE with 50% marks.

Admission Procedure:
Take Common Admission Test (CAT) 2011 to be conducted by IIMs. NO SEPARATE ENTRANCE TEST will be conducted by UBS LUDHIANA or Panjab University for this MBA programme.

Applications:
Application Form and Handbook of Information-2012 for UBS LUDHIANA will be available at Post Office, Sector-14, Panjab University, Chandigarh and GPO, Ludhiana on payment of Rs. 2000/- (Rs. 1000/- for SC / ST candidates) till December 3, 2011.

Forms can also be obtained by post up to November 16, 2011 from Manager, Publication Bureau, Panjab University, Chandigarh, by enclosing a Crossed Bank Draft for Rs. 2080/- (Rs.1080/- for SC / ST candidates) in favour of Registrar, Panjab University, Chandigarh payable at Chandigarh, and a self-addressed envelope (30x25 cm).

Applications are invited from Indian citizens for admission to Ph.D. Program scheduled to commence from December, 2011 in the following schools of basic sciences at NISER, Bhubaneswar:

1. School of Biological Sciences
2. School of Chemical Sciences
3. School of Physical Sciences

Eligibility:

Age: Not more than 28 years on December 01, 2011 (Born on/after 1st December, 1983)

Biological Sciences: 60% in Masters in any branches of Biology, life sciences and bioinformatics. Student with masters in any branches of natural or computer sciences with interest in pursuing career in biology. Research area for this school are(1) Bioinformatics (2) Cancer Biology (3) Cell Biology (4) Plant biology (5) Molecular & Developmental Genetics (6) Molecular Microbiology (7) Neurogenetics

Chemical Sciences: 60% in M. Sc. Or equivalent degree in Chemistry, Physics, Applied Chemistry, Biochemistry, Material Science, any one of the subject. Research area for this School are
(1) Organic Chemistry
(2) Inorganic Chemistry
(3) Physical Chemistry

Physical Sciences: 60% in M. Sc or 60% in equivalent degree in Engineering

Candidates should have qualified the CSIR-NET/ GATE/ JEST/ NBHM/ INSPIRE or equivalent examination valid for the current year in the relevant area of research. UGC-CSIR or any other JRF qualified candidates have to avail the fellowship directly from UGC or CSIR or any other whereas, students selected for Ph.D. program based on GATE/ GPAT/ JEST or any other scores, are eligible for financial aid (Assistantship / Scholarship) from NISER, Bhubaneswar.

How To Apply:
The form can be obtained by post or in person from the Academic Section, NISER Bhubaneswar. In case of request by post, please enclose a self-addressed envelope (A4 size, 21 cm X 30 cm) affixed with postage stamps of Rs. 25/-.

Candidates intending to apply for more than one program should use separate application form for each program with appropriate enclosures.

NISER does not demand any entrance fee from the candidates who apply for Ph.D program.

Send only attested copies (By Gazette Officer) of all supporting documents (mark sheets, certificates, age proof, caste certificate, etc.)

Enclose two letters of reference.

Sponsorship & Program Fees
The program is being sponsored and subsidised by Small Industries Development Bank of India.
The fee for the whole program payable through bank draft favouring Registrar, IIT Delhi is
Rs.24,500 for each non-sponsored candidate without any organizational affiliation.
Rs.28,500 for each sponsored candidate working in some organization.
