Centralized Entrance Test – June 2009

The National Board of Examinations is an autonomous organization of the Ministry of Health and Family welfare, Government of India.

NBE conducts DNB programme at various accredited medical colleges/hospitals/institutions leading to the award of DNB.

DNB is a recognized qualification as per provisions of Indian Medical Council Act, and the Government of India vide its various notifications issued from time to time has equated the DNB qualifications to the corresponding MD/MS qualification awarded by various Indian Universities.

Centralized entrance test is the entrance examination for admission to othe 3 years post graduate(post MBBS)DNB Programme.

The board shall be conducting the next session of DNB CET on 14th June, 2009.

Goethe Institut and the Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) jointly offer German language course for beginners. The course is based on the guidelines of the common European Reference Framework for languages formulated by the European Council. The course fosters the communicative ability of learners and equips them with elementary language use. The course was launched in Tamil Nadu in 2007. Indira Gandhi Institute of Development research(IGIDR) invites application for admission to the External Ph.D.Programme(Development Studies)

It is an interdisciplinary programme, with emphasis on all areas of economics including energy and environment policy, commencing August 2009. Applicants with a minimum of three years of work experience from research and academic institutions, industry and government can apply. The External Ph.D.Programme involves course work. There wil be no scholarships or tuition fee waivers.

Eligibility: (a) Minimum qualification: M.A./M.Sc. in Economics/M.Stat/M.Sc.(physics, mathematics,statistics, environmental science or operations research)MBA/M.Tech/M.E./B.Tech/B.E. or equivalent with at least 55% aggregate marks for economics discipline and 60% aggregate marks for other disciplines. The applicant must have studied mathematics sat the higher secondary level or should be able to demonstrate equivalent mathematical ability (b) The applicants ought to have a minimum of three years of work experience and they need to apply with the No Objection Certificate along with leave authorization on the official letterhaead of the organization duly signed by the authorized official of the organization. (c) Applicants be preferably below 45 years of age, it can be relaxed in case of exceptional candidates:
