All the candidates aspiring to take admission in the undergraduate programmes at IITs and ISM Dhanbad, for the year 2013 will have to appear in the Paper-1 of JEE (Main) - 2013, which will be conducted by JEE Apex Board during the month of April, 2013 (both online and offline). After the declaration of the scores of JEE (Main) - 2013, the top 1,50,000 candidates (including all categories) are required to register online at http://jeeadv.iitd.ac.in  to appear for the JEE (Advanced) – 2013. A fee of Rs.1800/- (Rs.900/- for SC, ST, PD and no fee for all female candidates) has to be deposited between 8th and 13th May, 2013  in any branch of State Bank of India having Core Banking Services.

The last date to register for JEE (Advanced) - 2013 (along with the required information and applicable fee) is 13th May, 2013.

Joint Admission Board (JAB) of IIT Joint Entrance Examination (Advanced)-2013 met on August 27, 2012 at IIT Delhi to discuss the forthcoming admission. The admission to the undergraduate programmes at the IITs and ISMU, Dhanbad for the year 2013 will be based on a two-tier test. The first test called the JEE (Main), will be held during the month of April, 2013 (both offline and online). This test will be conducted by CBSE. The second test, called the JEE (Advanced), will be held on June 2, 2013 (only offline). Only 1,50,000 of the top rankers in JEE(Main), which includes students from all categories( GE,OBC(NCL), SC and ST ) will be eligible to appear in JEE(Advanced).

The JEE (Advanced)-2013 will have two objective type papers. Each paper will consist of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. Duration of each paper will be 3-hours. Question papers will be in both English and Hindi. Admissions to IITs will be based only on category wise All India Rank (AIR) in JEE(Advanced) subject to the condition that such candidates are in the top 20 percentile of successful candidates of their Boards in applicable categories.

Applications are invited for admission to the Department of Applied Psychology, University of Calcutta ( Rajabazar Science College, 92, Acharya Prafulla Chandra Road, Kolkata--700009) for Ph.D. course and subsequent research work for obtaining the Ph.D. degree in Applied Psychology. Candidates who wish to pursue research work in the Department should apply in the prescribed application form(obtainable from the Department of Applied Psychology) by paying Rs. 100.00 through a challan (obtainable from Cash Counter in Rajabazar Science College Campus and College Street Campus). The eligible candidates will have to appear in a written examination of 2.5 hours, to be held in the Department on 30th November, 2012. The results of the written test will be published on 13th December, 2012. The successful candidates will be called for an interview on 24th December, 2012. The candidates will be finally selected as Probationary Ph.D. student of this department on the basis of the evaluation in the interview.

1. Applications are invited for the Entrance Examination for admission to B Pharm Course [through Lateral Entry] for the year, 2012 in the Government and Private-Self financing Colleges.

2. Eligibility for Admission

(i) Nativity: Applicant should be an Indian citizen of Kerala origin.

(ii) Academic qualifications: Diploma in Pharmacy [Candidate shall have studied in an institution approved by the Pharmacy Council of India and shall have passed the diploma examination conducted by the State Board of D Pharm Examinations or equivalent and must have a minimum of 50% marks for the second year D Pharm examination]. (For SEBC/OEC candidates, 45% marks and for SC/ST Candidates a pass in the second year D Pharm examination will be sufficient.)

(iii) Age: There is no upper age limit for admission to the course.

3. Selection on the basis of Entrance Examination: Selection of candidates for Bpharm (Lateral entry) course 2012 will be made on the basis of an Entrance Examination to be conducted by the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations, [CEE] at Thiruvananthapuram on 11.11.2012 (Sunday). It will consists of one Paper, of two hours duration and will have 100 Objective Type (Multiple Choice) Questions. Candidates except those belonging to SC/ST categories have to score a minimum of 10% marks in the Entrance examination, to qualify and to figure in the rank list.

4. Application forms: Prospectus and Application form will be available from 09.10.2012, in the website www.cee-kerala.org.  There will be separate application forms for general candidates and SC/ST candidates. Candidates seeking admission to this course can apply in the prescribed format, after downloading the application form, provided in the website www.cee-kerala.org of the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations and then remit the required fees at any State Bank of Travancore Branch using the Bank Chalan available with the print out .Candidates residing outside Kerala State can remit the application fee by way of Demand Draft drawn in favour of the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations, payable at Thiruvananthapuram. Application fee is Rs.300/- for General candidates and Rs.150/- for SC/ST candidates. Application forms will not be sold from the office of the CEE or office of the DME. Application fee once remitted will not be refunded under any circumstances.

5. Last date and time for receipt of filled-in application forms: Candidates seeking admission should forward their completed application with all the required documents to the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations, Housing Board Buildings, Santhinagar, Thiruvananthapuram – 695 001, either by Registered post / hand delivery /speed post so as to reach him before 5 pm on 20.10.2012 (Saturday). 6. Late, defective and incomplete applications will be summarily rejected. No correspondence will be undertaken in this regard. CEE will not be responsible for any postal delay.

7. Candidates will neither be allowed to include any information in the application form nor be allowed to submit any certificates / documents claiming reservation or any other benefits, after the submission of the application, under any circumstances

8. Candidates must note that they have to obtain the required certificates in the body of the application form itself, wherever specified. The certificates that are attached separately along with the application form will not be considered under any circumstances.

9. The CEE will conduct the Entrance Examination, prepare and publish the rank list of of all candidates who qualify in the Entrance Examination and forward the same to the Director of Medical Education.

About SHIATS

The Faculty of Theology library is well equipped with select recently-published acquisition. It also subscribes to EBSCO’s Online Theology Database-ATLA.

The Ph.D. Programme in Christian Studies

The Centre for Advanced Theological Studies (CATS) is one of three distinct initiatives of the Faculty of Theology. Its five-year Ph.D. programme comprises of 8 core courses offered in a compressed semester format in two years (requiring 4 weeks of residency for each year). These 8 core courses provide 32 credits. The thesis work (43 credits) spread over three years includes three tutorials and dissertation research and writing.

The programme is designed to facilitate engagement with the text and context in critical, innovative and integral ways for the mission of transforming Church and Society.

Entrance Qualification

• Master’s level theological qualification that is recognized by SHIATS

• M.Th. from a recognized institution or equivalent to five years of theological studies

• M.Div./B.D. with P.G. in any discipline.

• Those who do not have formal theological training and have a recognized Masters degree or Ph.D. in any field will have to undergo a preliminary theological programme of one year duration including at least four courses (NT, OT, History of Christianity and Theology).
