ADMISSION NOTICE FOR CRAFTSMEN TRAINING SCHEME IN MODEL TRAINING INSTITUTE

Session Starting from August-2008


Model Training Institute (MTI) attached to the Advanced Training Institute, Kolkata established by the 'Government of India, Ministry of Labour, Directorate General of Employment & Training offers training under Craftsmen Training Scheme (CTS) for the session starting from August 2008 National Trade Certificate issued by NCVT will be awarded to the trainees on successful completion of the course.

Reservation of Seats : Seats are reserved for SC,ST, PH etc. as per Govt Rules.

Age: Between 14-40 years on 01.08.2008 & 45 years for Ex-Servicemen and War Widows.

Selection: Selection shall be made on Merit basis and Eligibility Tests for Trades mentioned at Sl.No.1 to 3.

Training cost: Tuition fee of Rs. 100/- per month for all trades except COPA& IT & ESM. Tuition fee of COPA & Hi ESM trade will be charged @ Rs. 200/- per month, Caution money deposit Rs. 250/- (refundable) for trainees of all trades.

Hostel Facility: Limited nos. of accommodation as available will be provided to deserving trainees against payment of hostel rent, hostel service charge and hostel caution money as applicable.

Medical Facility : Medical Examination Fee of Rs. 25 /- per trainee

Stipend/Scholarship: Trainees will be awarded poverty-cum-merit stipend & Merit Scholarship at the prescribed rate as applicable on the basis of internal examination after six months.

Minimum Educational Qualification: Passed 10th class with Science & Mathematics under 10+2 system or its equivalent.

12. Mechanic (Motor Vehicle) (2 yrs)
Minimum Educational Qualification: Passed 10th class exam, under 10+2 system of education with science as one of the subjects.

13. COPA (1 yr)
Minimum Educational Qualification: 12th class passed under 10+2 system or duly recognised diploma in engineering from any polytechnic of three years duration after class 10th candidates with higher qualification will be given preference provided other things being equal.


How to Apply:
Candidates desiring admission may apply in the prescribed application form obtainable by tendering Rs. 25/- (for cost of form) along with registration fees of Rs. 50/- to be paid at the time of submission of application form by cash if submitted in person or through Postal Order/Demand Draft in favour of DDO ATI Kolkata, Dasnagar, Howrah-5 For obtaining application form outstation candidates may send Postal Order or Demand Draft of Rs. 25/- in favour of DDO, ATI Kolkata, Dasnagar, Howrah-5, enclosing there with a stamped envelop (Rs.5/-) of size 12 cms x 25 cms.
