CULTURAL CONTEST FOR CHILDREN
IT WILL COVER ARTISTIC, VERBAL, CREATIVE WRITING SKILLS OF STUDENTS
National Model schools will condut "Expressions 2008" a cultural festival for chidren from UKG to Class X.
The contests will cover the artistic, verbal and creative writing skills of the students.
Some of the events are 'dazzling art,' a colouring event for LKG students, 'pep talk,'a story narration contest for UKG students. 'Memory trace and drape and droll' for classes I and II. Clay modelling and 'Kandan Kaniyanuthu', for classes III to IV. Aesthetic spark and 'battle the baffle' for classes V and VI, 'Spell art,' and feet and fire are for classes VII and VIII. For classes IX and X the contests are 'twist and turn', 'flame free dish'.
The higher secondary students can register their names through their schools.

Candidates from outside Tamil Nadu :
Candidates from other states will be considered only under Open Competition (OC) irrespective of community while considering minimum eligibility marks. Other state candidates can also be considered for NRI/lapsed seats.
NRI Students :
The applicant seeking admission under NRI quota should apply to Anna University, Chennai (Director, Student Affairs) on prescribed form paying Rs.1000/- along with following documents for Provisional Eligibility Certificate. Established in 1969 by the Reserve Bank of India in consultation with the Government of India (GOI), NIBM is the apex institution for research, training and consultancy in banking and finance. Eligibility for Admission and Admission Procedure-
A three-year Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent with atleast 50% marks or equivalent CGPA in any discipline. Students completing their degree examination by June 2009 may also apply. Fefer to their website for complete details regarding qualifying criteria of universities from where the candidate must hold a bachelor's degree and for other important information about eligibility.
Candidates seeing admission to the above programme should appear for the Common Admission Test (CAT) being conducted by IIMs on November 16, 2008. The candidates should follow the CAT advertisement of IIMs in leading newspapers on July 13, 2008, ( which is also available in this website) for procurement of CAT Bulletin. Closing date for sale of CAT Bulletins through designated branches of banks(s) is August 8, 2008 and thorugh IIMs it is August 13, 2008.
CAT score is used for short-listing candidates who apply for admission to NIBM. IIMs have no role either inthe selection process or in the conduct of Programme.
Apply to NIBM by filling a separate application form, furnishing CAT Reg. No. and Centre No. Candidates shortlisted on the basis of CAT scores will be called for Group Discussion and Interview for final selection during Mid-April 2009.

COMMENCING JUNE 2009
IMA is one of the few management schools in the world which offer a Two-Year Post-Graduate Programme in Agri-Business Management (PGP-ABM). Globalization of trade, explosion of new technologies, rapidly changing role of governments and intense competitive pressures have brought many new challenges to the Indian food and agribusiness sector and is placing unprecedented demands on future managers. IIMA's commitment and expertise in agribusiness sector dates back to its inception, when the Institute accepted managerial issues related to under-managed and socially important sectors (particularly food and agriculture) as part of its thrust area.
The PGP-ABM programme is specially designed to develop young men and women into competent professional managers for the agriculture, food and food processing, agribusiness, rural, and allied sectors. The programme curriculum has a solid managerial foundation, a focus on food and agricultural marketplace, and is designed to build and enhance a global perspective among participants.
HOW TO APPLY
The programme is open to graduates of any discipline with an interest in agribusiness and allied sectors.
