Eligibility criteria: 10+2 pass (PCM) or equivalent, Duration: 4 years
Admission to lateral entry to 2nd year
Eligibility: 3 years diploma in any branch of engineering, or B.Sc. (PCM) or Bachelor in computer application (BCA) or Bachelor of Computer Science (BCS) or equivalent#, Duration: 3 years
(#Eligible only for B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering and B.Tech in Electronics & Communication Engineering)
Diploma in Engineering
Admission to 1st year
Eligibility criteria: 10th pass or equivalent, Duration: 3 years
Admission to lateral entry to 2nd year
Eligibility Criteria: 10+2 years ITI certificate in Engineering Trades or 10+2 vocational (Engineering streams only), Duration: 2 years

Admission to the IGNOU-SAPET Engineering programmes is offered through an aptitude test ‘IGNOU Engineering Aptitude Test’ (IGNEAT 2009) to be held during September 6-13, 2009 at the designated centres. It will be conducted in English, Hindi and few other regional languages.
Student handbook and prospectus for IGNOU-SAPET Engineering programmes 2009 can be obtained from School of Engineering and Technology, IGNOU, Maidan Garhi, New Delhi and various IGNEAT 2009 Test Centres by paying Rs. 500/- in cash at the respective sale counters or by sending a sum of Rs. 550/- through a demand draft (DD) drawn in favour of Indira Gandhi National Open University payable at New Delhi.
