ADMISSIONS TO FIRST YEAR OF FULL TIME POST GRADUATE COURSES IN MANAGEMENT VIZ. MBA/MMS/PGDBM/PGDBA FOR THE YEAR 2008-2009.

Applications are invited for MAH-MBA/MMS-CET 2008 for admission to First Year of twoyear
Full Time Post Graduate Degree Courses in MBA/MMS and PGDBM/PGDBA in the Government, University Managed, University Departments and Unaided Institutes in the Maharashtra State.

Eligibility Criteria for appearing to MAH-MBA/MMS-CET 2008:
Candidate should have passed with minimum of 45% marks in aggregate ( 40% marks in aggregate in case of candidates of backward class categories belonging to Maharashtra State only) in Bachelor’s degree/Master’s Degree in any discipline recognised by the Association of Indian Universities.
OR
Appeared for the final year examination of Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in any discipline recognised by the Association of Indian Universities.

Note:
1. For the academic year 2008-09, both the Maharashtra State and OMS candidates who have
appeared/appearing for the All India CETs (CAT/JMET/MAT(conducted in Feb. 2008)/ATMA/XAT) are considered eligible for admission against the All India Seats subject to the fulfillment of eligibility criteria mentioned in the Information Brochure. Such candidates are also required to procure the Information Brochure alongwith Application kit and submit & confirm the Online Application form.
2. For admission to MBA/MMS/PGDBM/PGDBA course, the candidate is required to score
minimum 20 marks in MAH-MBA/MMS-CET 2008. Candidates seeking admission on the basis
of All India CETs mentioned above are required to obtain minimum equivalent score.

receipt of application form for MBA/MMS/PGDBM/PGDBA for the year 2008-09.
> Information brochure alongwith the Application Kit for the aspiring candidates will be available at the identified post offices mentioned below during contact hours from 18/01/2008 to 31/01/2008 (excluding Public Holidays) against the payment of the application form processing fees.
> It is mandatory to procure the information brochure and go through it carefully. The CET that will be conducted in pursuance of this advertisement is subject to the rules and regulations set out in this information brochure. The further admission process, especially in respect of Private Unaided Institutes will be in terms of the clarification read with aforesaid rules and regulations.
> Submission of the application form in response to this advertisement will amount to accepting the afore said rules & regulations unequivocally by the applicant and upon such submission it will be presumed that the applicant agrees and accepts these rules & regulations as legal, valid and
correct. It will not be open for any applicant, once having submitted the application form to
question the legality, validity and correctness of these rules & regulations. The Centralized Admission Process will consist of first 3 rounds of allotment and the fourth (i.e. last) round of counseling. Candidates are instructed to carefully read the Annexure-I of the Information Brochure to understand the eligibility criteria for participating in each round.
> NRI candidates are eligible to apply for admission against Institute level seats in Private Unaided Management Institutes. Please refer information Brochure for details.

For Open Category Candidates from Maharashtra State, Outside Maharashtra State(OMS), J & K Migrant candidates and NRI/Foreign National/Foreign Students/PIO/Children of Indian Workers in the Gulf Countries Candidates:Rs. 1150/-. For Candidates of Backward Class Categories [SC, ST, VJDT NT(A), NT(B), NT(C),NT(D), OBC, SBC] belonging to Maharashtra State only.: Rs. 950/-.

J & K migrant candidates who wish to apply against J & K migrant quota and also against OMS quota are required to pay total fee of Rs. 2300/- (Two separate receipts of Rs.1150/- each).
> This fee is non-refundable and non-transferable under any circumstances.

Submission and Confirmation of Online Application Form :
> Aspiring candidates will be able to submit and confirm the Online Application form through the
web site www.dte.org.in/mba through any computer connected to Internet.
> For the submission and confirmation of the online Application Form the candidates are required to use the Application ID and Password provided in the Application Kit. Candidates are also required to upload his/her photo and signature as per the instructions given in the Application Kit.
Candidates are advised to preserve the Application Kit carefully and not to disclose the Application ID & Password to others to avoid impersonation.
> In order to take the printout of the Online submitted Application form and the printout of the Hall Ticket for the CET, it is mandatory for all the candidates to confirm the Online submitted
Application form and such applications only will be considered valid for further processing.
> Applications sent by Post/Courier etc. to ARCs/DTE office will be rejected and no communication in this regard will be done with the candidates.
> It should be noted that no documents are required to be submitted at this stage. Candidates are advised keep the necessary documents ready at the time of Document verification stage

IMPORTANT: Aspiring candidates are required to Register on the website for GD&PI, Send Work Experience Certificates to SIMSREE, Appear for the GD&PI, Get the documents verified & Register for CAP at ARC strictly as per the schedule mentioned in the Information Brochure. Candidates seeking admission to the PGDBM course at Sydenham Institute of Management Studies & Research and Entrepreneurship Education, Mumbai, (Choice Code 338) should note that MAH-MBA/MMS-CET 2008, GD and PI being conducted by the Competent Authority of Maharashtra State is applicable for the above mentioned course. The candidates shall be selected as per their merit in the Entrance Examination to be held on 20th April 2008 at Nagpur, Delhi, Hyderabad & Mumbai. Those who are going to appear in 10+2 Higher Secondary Board Examination in March / April 2008 are also eligible to appear in the competitive Entrance Examination

IN THE ENTRANCE EXAMINATION THE PAPER OF PHYSICS, CHEMISTRY AND BIOLOGY WILL HAVE MULTIPLE CHOICE QUESTIONS, WHILE THAT ON GANDHIAN THOUGHT WILL BE OF ESSAY AND / OR SHORT ANSWER TYPE.

The Prospectus and Application Form with syllabus, question papers of Gandhian thought for the last 5 years, with model question papers of Physics Chemistry and Biology can be had from the office of the Dean by remitting a sum of Rs.1050/- (Rs.1000 + Rs.50 as postal charges) only by Money order in favour of the Dean, Mahatma Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences, Sevagram, District Wardha - 442102 or by paying Rs.1000/- in cash at the college counter. Eligibility
The candidate must be born on or before 1st January, 1992. The Candidate must have passed 12th standard examination under 10+2 system of Maharashtra State Higher Secondary Education Board or equivalent examination of any recognised Board or any Indian University with English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology individually in each subject in one and the same attempt. The candidate must have obtained minimum 50% marks (40% in the case of SC/ ST/ VJ/ NT/ OBC) taken together in Physics, Chemistry and Biology.

Two Year Full Time Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM 2008 – 2010)

Eligibility:
A Bachelor's degree in any discipline under 10+2+3 system from a University recognised by AIU/AICTE securing a minimum 50% marks or equivalent CGPA. Candidates appearing in the final examination of Bachelor's degree are also eligible provided they complete all the requirements for obtaining bachelor's degree or equivalent by June 30, 2008 and furnish proof of having met the minimum eligibility criteria by September 30, 2008.

Selections Procedure:
Applicant's performance in CAT (JIM uses CAT for short listing candidates. IIM has no role to play in selection or the conduct of PGDM programme.) Scores obtained in Group Discussion, Personal Interview besides scholastic record and work experience.

Foreign/NRI applicants can apply by submitting valid GMAT scores.

Application Procedure:
Apply by filling in separate application form for JIM Jaipur. The institute brochure and application form can be obtained: By cash payment of Rs. 1000/- at the institute. By post (enclosing a demand draft of Rs. 1050/- drawn in favour of "Jaipuria Institute of Management" payable in Jaipur).

Selection Process:
The Admission process comprises of the following stages:
1) Screening Test :
Candidates have to appear in any one of the following:- (a) CAT conducted by IIMs (Fifty percentile and above) (b) Management Aptitude Test (MAT) conducted by AIMA (600) Composite Score 80 percentile and above. (c) XAT conducted by XLRI Jamshedpur.

Company-sponsored and International candidates are exempted from the written test.

2) Group Discussion and Personal Interview:
Candidates who qualify in the written test will be called for a group discussion and personal interview. The final selection will be based on the candidate's overall assessment of performance in the screening test, group discussion and personal interview. Past academic record, experience etc.

Loan facility available from across India
Loan facilities by banks in India (As per information available from AIM)

Eligibility : All aspiring candidates must be graduates in any stream with at least 50% marks in aggregate from any Indian University. Student having meritorious track with 60 percent and above marks.

Purpose: For pursuing higher education in Management.

Amount Of Loan :80 per cent of the total expenses with a maximum of Rs. 7.5 lacs for studies in India and Rs. 15 lacs for studies abroad.

Interest: 11.25% p.a. The interest will be simple during the period of course and debited according to the outstanding liability.

Security: Personal guarantee of guardian or a well-reputed person having good source of income. If the loan amount exceeds Rs. 4 lacs additional collateral security such as house/landed property, NSCS, life Insurance policies, banks fixed deposits, etc., is required.

Repayment: The loan would be repaid in 60 monthly installments. Installments would commence after 6 months of completion of course or getting employment, which ever is earlier.

Two Year PGDM (Focused on Oil & Gas Sector)

IPMG announced the admission process for the intake of its 3rd Batch (Session 2008) for the Two Year Residential PGDM (Focused on Oil & Gas Sector). Candidates, appearing for the Common Admission Test (CAT) conducted by IIMs on 18th November, 2007 are only eligible to apply. The minimum academic eligibility criterion for admission to PGDM-Oil & Gas Sector is a Bachelor’s Degree, with at least 50% marks or equivalent CGPA. Candidates appearing for the final bachelor's degree / equivalent qualification examination can also apply. Post Graduate Certificate in Petroleum Management of IPMG is having one year duration and is fully tailor-made to enhance the managerial capabilities of working executives in petroleum sector. Doctoral Programme 2008 (Focused on Energy Sector)

Doctoral Programme of IPMG
The purpose of the Doctoral Programme of IPMG is to train prospective scholars to become highly skilled and innovative researchers and teachers in various aspects of management related to the energy sector. It primarily aims at preparing students for careers as faculty members at premier academic institutions.

Course Structure: The Doctoral Programme would ordinarily demand four years of full-time requirements in two stages. In the first stage, the selected candidate needs to meet the course requirements over two years. The first year course requirements can be waived in certain cases and on a selective basis. During this stage, the student is given appropriate exposure to the basic discipline of management, thus preparing him/her for the thesis work in the next stage. The course work that will be undertaken by the student in the first year will be from among those courses that are offered to the PGP students, and in the second year will include specially designed courses. Each student is placed under the guidance of a Faculty Advisory Committee after considering his or her field of interest.

On successful completion of the course requirement, the student has to qualify in two comprehensive examinations (one written and another oral) before taking up the thesis work.

The thesis stage is normally of two years.

Fellowship: Fellow students are awarded a fellowship of Rs.15,000/- per month, and no fees (admission, tuition, course material, computer, or library) will be charged. Fellowship will be paid only to fulltime residential students for a maximum period of four years, which may be extended by six months on the recommendation of the thesis adviser. After comprehensive a student may be allowed to provide limited Research and Teaching Assistance (RTA), which will be remunerated.

A fellow student is entitled to a contingency grant of Rs.10,000 per annum during the first two years and a grant of Rs.20,000 per annum during the third and fourth years.

Conferences and International Exposure: This Institute provides support for attending National and International conferences. A fellow student will be reimbursed all related expenses up to Rs. 1,00,000 during the entire duration of the program.

Selection Procedure : Candidates who satisfy the eligibility criteria as prescribed by the Institute will be called for a test / interview. Selection will be based on the previous academic performance and marks secured in the test / interview.

Minimum Academic Qualifications Required for Admission : Master's degree in Management/ Engineering/ Sciences / Social Sciences / Commerce and Humanities subjects with a first class or a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent (CGPA 6.5 ) or a Bacheolor’s Degree in Engineering with a first class and adequate work experience with a valid CAT/GMAT score.

Admission of PGDM (Oil & Gas):
Candidates who have qualified for the award of PGDM (Oil & Gas) with exceptionally good academic record in the prescribed disciplines will be considered for direct admission to doctoral program subject to the following conditions :

If the Candidate happens to be a PGDM diploma holder from IPMG, he/she should have qualified for the diploma in the top 25%.

In the case of MBA’s or PGDM diploma holders with specialization in Oil and Gas or Energy from an University or deemed University, he/she should have qualified for the degree among the top 10 rank holders of the University.

Full-time candidates alone are eligible to be considered for such direct admission.

Admission of International Students:
Candidates of foreign nationality holding Degrees from Indian Universities seeking admission to doctoral program need the necessary clearance from the Government of India in the Ministry of Human Resource Development and should possess valid Research Visa. They will be treated on par with Indian nationals for purposes of admission to the Institute. Candidates of foreign nationality with Degrees from Foreign Universities seeking admission to the Institute will be treated differently and the case of each candidate will be examined and decided purely on merit. They should fulfill the eligible qualification requirement as applicable to regular students in addition to GMAT and TOEFL requirements.

International students will be eligible for tuition waiver. However they will not be eligible for fellowship, contingency grant or reimbursement of expenses for participating in conferences.

--Copy of SSLC / 10th class or Matriculation certificate.
--Attested copies of all Mark sheets / grade cards, degree certificates beginning from first degree towards proof of qualification. Original certificates should not enclosed

--Employer's Certificate in the prescribed format in the case of candidates applying for the doctoral program under external scheme and a copy of the degree certificate of Research Coordinator.

Applications received without the above certificates for admission to the doctoral program will not be considered and no correspondence thereof will be entertained.
