Application are invited from the candidates who have passed 12th Science Examination for admission to 25% seats of B.Tech Programmes of Institute of Technology as detailed below:
15% seats will be filled from the candidates who have passed 12th Science examination form the schools located in Gujarat state on the basis of merit considering equal weightage of marks of AIEEE-2008 and the marks obtained in the theory of Science subjects as decided by the Government of Gujarat.

10% seats will be filled form the candidates from all India (including students from Gujarat State) on the basis of All India Rank of AIEEE-2008.

Shiksha-Acharya (M.Ed.) course 2008-2009.

The Rashtriya Sanskrit Sansthan will be conducting Pre-Shiksha-Acharya Entrance Test (PSAT) for admission to Shiksha-Acharya course of Sansthan on 21-06-008 at the following Campuses of the Sansthan from 10 AM to 12.30 PM. In case the no. of students will less than 15 the students will be adjusted in the nearby Campus. The students who have passed the Shiksha Shastri/B.Ed. (With Sanskrit) with at least 55% marks and 50% in case of SC/ST candidates and having Acharya/M.A. (Sanskirt) are eligble to appear at the test. The guidelines of test can be obtained form the Examination Brach, Rashtriya Sanskrit Sanstha, Janak Puri, New Delhi and from its Campuses on payment of RS.500/- by cash from 05.05.2008 to 30.05.2008 and by post from 05.05.2008 to 26.05.2008 by sending Demand Draft of Rs.550/- in favour of Rashtriya Sanskrit Sansthan, New Delhi payable at the State Bank of India. Delhi Cantt. Branch Code No. 0733. The duly filled application form are to be submitted to the Santhan Headquarter or Campuses on or before 30.05.2008 There are 25 seats in this course and the course is available only at resent at Jaipur Campus. ASSOCIATESHIP IN INFORMATION SCIENCE (AIS) COURSE
Batch 2008-2010
Admission Notification

NISCAIR conducts a two-year course, Associateship in Information Science (AIS) which is equivalent to Master's degree in Library & Information Science and is recognized by Government of India and many Universities.

Applications are invited for admission to the AIS 2008-2010 batch of the course commencing on September 01, 2008.

Eligibility: Applicant should have minimum of 50% aggregate marks in :
(i) Master’s degree; or
(ii) Four-year plus degree like B.E./M.B.B.S.; or
(iii) Bachelor’s degree plus B.Lib.Sc. plus one year of relevant experience after B.Lib.Sc.
(iv) Students who have appeared in the final year examination of (i) and (ii) above are also eligible for applying for admission to the Course. However, their cases will be considered only in the event of their final results being declared before the final selection and their obtaining a minimum of 50% aggregate marks.

Selection: A total of twenty-five candidates would be selected based on Admission Test (June 19, 2008) and Interview (Last week of July, 2008).

Test Centres: New Delhi, Kolkata and Bangalore

The Admission Test will be of two-hour duration and is intended to test the candidates’ skills in English language, general knowledge, basic mathematics and logic to ascertain their aptitude towards information science.

Interview Centre: NISCAIR, New Delhi

Candidates found successful in the admission test will be called for final selection only at New Delhi. Shortlisted outstation candidates appearing for interview will be paid 2nd class sleeper return rail fare or equivalent as per the shortest route.


Scholarships: Provision for scholarship to non-sponsored meritorious students @ Rs. 2000/- per month for a period of 9 months exists.


How to apply: The prospectus and the application form can be obtained from ‘Head, Education & Training Divison (ETD), NISCAIR, S.V.Marg, New Delhi 110067’ from May 12, 2008 onwards personally or by sending a self-addressed envelope (25cm x 20cm size) affixing Rs.25/- postage stamps and enclosing a DD for Rs.200/- drawn in favour of NISCAIR, payable at New Delhi. The prospectus can also be collected by payment of cash.
