B.E. Marine Engineering
Age : 17 to 20 years as on 1st July
Educational qualifications : Pass in (10+2) or equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and English as separate subjects with a PCM average of not less than 60% ( OR ) and 50% in English
Candidates can join (22 years )2nd year of 4-year Marine Engineering Degree course provided he has passed 1st year training from the Alternate Training Scheme, approved by D.G Shipping .( This will not be applicable to MERI)
Candidates can join (22 years )2nd year of 4-year Marine Engineering Degree course who have passed 1st year from the engineering college in other streams like Mechanical or Electrical approved by AICTE with minimum 60% average marks. (OR)
Candidates can join(22 years ) 2nd year of 4- year Marine Engineering Degree Course who have passed 3 years Diploma course in Mechanical / Marine /Electrical /Electrical and Electronics from the colleges approved by AICTE or State Board of Technical Education with minimum 55% of aggregate marks in the last year of Diploma Course.
The candidate should have obtained a minimum of 50% marks in English language at 10th or 12th std or in the Degree/Diploma course conducted by recognized Board or any University.
Medical : Medically fit for sea service with eye sight up to +/- 2.5 with no colour blindness


B.E. Naval Architecture and Offshore Engineering
Age : 17 to 20 years as on 1st July
Educational Qualification : A pass in Plus Two (12th Standard) or its equivalent with minimum 55% aggregate in Maths, Physics and Chemistry from any Board.
Entry to the course will be at the discretion of the Director of the Academy.

B.E Electrical & Electronics Engineering - Marine 4 years
Age : 17 to 20 years as on 1st July
Educational qualifications : Pass in (10+2) or equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and English as separate subjects with a PCM average of not less than 60% and with 50% marks in English language at 10th or 12th std exam.

B.E Harbour Engineering and Offshore Technology 4 years
Pass in +2 with minimum of 50% marks in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics


B.E Applied Marine Information Technology and Communications 4 years
Pass in +2 with minimum of 70% marks individuals subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and 50% English in Tamilnadu State Board, Matriculation or CBSE syllabus.

Application form and Prospectus can be obtained from THE REGISTRAR, ANNAMALAI UNIVERSITY, ANNAMALAINAGAR - 608 002 from 16-05-2008 on payment of prescribed fee noted above in Person OR by sending a Demand Draft obtained on or after 12-05-2008 drawn in favour of THE REGISTRAR, ANNAMALAI UNIVERSITY, ANNAMALAINAGAR from ANY BANK, payable at CHENNAI along with a self addressed stamped Thick Kraft envelope of size 30 cm x 24 cm (stamps affixed to the value of Rs.30/-with the name of the Programme for which the application is required should be superscribed boldly on the envelope. The Name of the Programme should be clearly indicated in the requisition letter. The Name and Address of the Candidate and Programme for which Application is made should be clearly indicated on the back side of the Demand Draft also.
