and some other goverment scholarship/Assistantships in Engineering/Technology/Architecture/Pharmacy/Science, is open to those who qualify in GATE.
Thre are two ways by which a candidate can apply viz.OFFLINE or ONLINE for general/obc category candidates the application fee is Rs.1000 for offline and Rs.900 for online. For SC/ST/PD* category candidates, the fee is Rs.500 for offline and Rs.400 for online.

The following Programmes are offered in Tamil Medium:

The medium of instruction for these programmes will be in Tamil, since learning thorugh mother tongue enhances understanding and creativity leading to excellence in academics. Tamil as a medium is not a barrier for career opportunity. This programme has a strong foundation course in English and also Technology and Engineering components in which seminars in English on the Technical topics are included.
The Programme will produce highly employable candidates to meet International Industrial and Institutional needs.
Tution Fees: Rs.10,000/- per semester, i.e. after a special concession of Rs.5,000/- from the fees for English medium as an encouragement.
Opportunities for higher studies and jobs abroad as that of English medium course are ensured.

Applications can be had form The Registrar on submitting a requisition letter along with a Demand Draft for Rs.200/- drawn in favour of Bharathidasan University, Tiruchirapalli-620024 (On the reverse of the Demand Draft, name and addresss of the applicant and the course to be mentioned). Those who want to recieve applications by post mut enclose a self addressed stamped encelope (size 10x5) to the value of Rs.10/-. SC/ST candidates can get one application form at free of cost on production of Community certificate. Application can also be downloaded from the University website. In which case, the cost of application Rs.200/- should be sent by way of DD while submitting the filled-in application.
