Admissions are given under Regular (Full -Time) and Sponsored (Full-Time) categories. Regular (Full -Time) students work full-time for their MA Degree. Sponsored (Full-Time) candidates are those sponsored by a recognized R&D Organization, Academic Institution, Governmental Organization, NGO, Development Agency or Industry, for doing MA in the Institute on a full-time basis. The applicant under this category must be a regular employee of the organization with at least 2 years of experience at the time of admission and be engaged in professional work in the discipline in which admission is sought. He/She will not receive any financial support from the Institute. Sponsorship letter (Form I) must be attached with the application.

All applicants should hold a Bachelor's Degree of minimum 3 years duration or its equivalent from a recognized University, in any discipline with a minimum average of 50% marks or 5.5 CPI in a 10-point scale [45% or 5.0 CPI in a 10-point scale, for SC/ST/Person with Disability (PD) candidate]. Those appearing in final Bachelor's Degree examinations are also eligible to apply, provisionally.

Reservation of Seats for SC/ST/OBC/PD categories will be as per Govt. of India rules. Institute Merit-Cum-Means (MCM) Scholarship is awarded to students of regular category whose parents' income does not exceed Rs.2,00,000/- per annum, for a period of 2(two) years. Admissions for Ayurved course being run by the National Institute of Ayurveda, Jaipur and for the Homoeopathic & Unani Faculties will be made through Joint Entrance Test conducted at the National Level; for which the residents of all the States in India can apply for admissions.
