M.Tech. in Nano Science and NanoTechnology Admissions 2009 .


DELHI UNIVERSITY

University of Delhi invites applications for 3 Year M.Tech. in Nano Science and NanoTechnology, Jointly conducted by Department of Physics and Astrophysics
and Department of Chemistry

The duration of the course is six semesters. However, students will be required to undergo course work / training in the summer vacations during the three years of the programme, either in the Department or at other National Labs.

Eligibility Criteria
The candidate must have qualified Joint Admission Test (JAM) conducted by Indian Institutes of Technology. The candidate should have had atleast one year of Mathematics course during the B.Sc.. In addition the candidate should have secured atleast 60 % in one of the following courses.
• B.Sc. Honours in Physics / Chemistry / Biological Sciences
• B.Sc. General in Physics / Chemistry / Biological Sciences
• B.Sc. Programme in Physical Sciences / Chemical Sciences / Biological Sciences

Relaxation in the minimum eligibility criterion:

The short listed candidates in order of merit would be called for interview. Final selection will be made on the basis of an Interview of the short -listed candidates.

Candidate who has completed any Master's Degree or pursuing any Master's Degree will not be eligible for this course.

Age Requirements

No Person shall be qualified for admission to the M.Tech course unless he/she is at least 20 years of age before the first of October in the year in which he/she seeks admission. However, the Vice-Chancellor may, on the basis of individual merit, relax the age limit up to a maximum period of six months.

ELIGIBILITY:
Candidats should pass 10+2 (PCM Group) or its equivalent or diploma with at least 50% marks. But 10th pass candidats, who are keenly interested and have aptitude and willing to become aviation professional, are also eligibility under 4 or 5 years of duration.

Admission Procedure :


A candidate seeking admission to the AQ is required to apply on the prescribed application form and furnish necessary documents.

Thereafter an entrance test in physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, English and Gk will be conducted followed by an interview. Provided further that the candidates having aptitude for respective field like engineering, flying etc. This will be taken into consideration when preparing the merit list.

After scrutiny of the forms, a merit list will be displayed on the notice board of the Academy and also informed to the selected candidates. The merit-listed candidates will have to submit the Original Mark Sheet, Passing Certificate, Migration Certificate and provisionally eligibility certificate (if required) and also pay fees as per payment schedule (Mentioned below) by bank draft in favor of Academy of Aerospace and Aviation, payable at Indore. Selected candidates will also be required to bring with them 10 passport size photographs and 5 stamp size photographs for police verification, ID card, DGCA exams, AeSI exams, IE (India) exams.

Selected candidates must be medically fit for flying duties. They will be examined by authorised medical authorities. The cost of the medical examination will have to be borne by the candidate. Failure to meet the medical standards could disqualify a candidate. For security clearance, police verification of selected candidates will have to be carried out.
