It is notified to the Kashmiri Migrants that the State Government after considering the guidelines issued by All India Council for Technical Education and Ministry of Human Resources Development has reserved one seat in each Engineering/MBA/MCA/ M.Pharma/B. Pharmacy/Hotel Management and Catering Technology, Diploma in Engineering/Pharmacy/Hotel Management and Catering Technology in Polytechnic Colleges of the State of admission of Kashmiri Migrants for the academic session 2009-2010
A. The following are the guidelines for admission to the above mentioned courses
(i) The condition of domicile requirement for Kashmiri Migrants is waived off
(ii) Only those candidates will be considered who have got the proof of his/her being a Kashmiri migrant or a ward of Kashmiri migrant (certificate to be issued by Competent Authority)
(iii) Admission shall be made only on the basis of CET, MET, JET test conducted by the Punjab Technical University, Jalandhar, Punjabi University, Patiala and Punjab State Board of Technical Education and Industrial Training, Punjab, Chandigarh respectively during the academic session 2009-2010
(iv) Admission to Diploma in Pharmacy, 2nd year Degree course in Engineering (LEET), Diploma/Degree in Hotel Management & Catering Technology and M.Pharma shall be made on the basis of marks obtained in qualifying examination
(v) Choice of the College shall be given on the basis of Inter-se-merit amongst the candidates
(vi) The fee shall be charged as per rates fixed for the session 2009-2010
B. Counseling of Candidates
(i) Counseling of the candidates shall be held on 13.07.2009 in the Committee Room of Directorate of Technical Education and Industrial Training, Punjab, Plot No. 01, Sector 36-A, Chandigarh. Only those candidates shall be considered who have applied against these seats in time
(ii) No separate letter for counseling shall be issued

The Institute aims at training professionals who could study, view, conserve and preserve the Heritage holistically. To achieve this goal, DIHRM conducts Master’s Courses in Heritage Management.
