Applicants desirous of joining XLRI or any other participating institutions have to appear for XAT 2010. The XAT is a common test for admission into academic programmes of XLRI and more than 60 other Institutes. How to Apply for XAT 2010
Procedure for XLRI Registration and obtaining XLRI Prospectus from Axis Bank
A candidate has to first register for XLRI at www.xlri.edu and then only he / she can obtain XLRI Prospectus from select branches of Axis Bank.
1. Register for XAT: Candidate desirous of taking admission to XLRI has to first register for XAT 2010 online. On successful completion of registration for XAT 2010, the candidate will get his XAT ID and password. With this the candidate can register for XLRI by opening the site www.xlri.edu and then clicking on the link "XLRI Registration Page". A page opens up where the candidate is required to furnish his/her XAT ID and password to proceed further.
2. Register for XLRI: If the XAT ID and password furnished are correct, the XLRI Registration page opens up wherein the candidate is required to fill-in the name of the nearest Axis Bank branch from where he/she intends to buy the prospectus, programme(s) he/she is opting and the requisite amount depending on the number of programme(s) opted.
3. Register for XLRI: The cost of the XLRI Prospectus 2010 depends on number of programme(s) applied for. The cost is as follows:
For General candidates
Rs 900/- for one programme or Rs 1500/- for more than one and maximum of three programme.
For SC/ST candidates
Rs 600/- for one programme or Rs 1100/- for more than one and maximum of three programmes. Candidate should take the SC/ST certificate with them to the bank.
4. Download XLRI Pay-in-slip: The candidate has to then download the XLRI Pay-in-slip. The XLRI Pay-in-slip will have the date of registration, XLRI Pay-in-slip No., name of the Axis Bank branch, name of the candidate, number of courses opted and the amount to be paid for the prospectus. The printed pay-in-slip is in three parts. You have to take all these three parts of the pay-in-slip to the Axis bank branch.
5. Go to Axis Bank Branch: The candidate has to take this downloaded XLRI Pay-in-slip to the Axis Bank branch to buy the XLRI Prospectus 2010. On tendering the requisite amount (cost of XLRI Prospectus depending on number of programs opted) along with the pay-in-slips, the bank will issue a XLRI Prospectus 2010 and enter the Prospectus Number, Bank Tran ID and put a bank seal on the pay-in-slips. The bank will retain the Bank’s copy of the pay-in-slip with them and return the rest of the pay-in-slip to the candidate.
6. Fill Detachable Form: The candidate has to fill-up the detachable form given at the end of the prospectus. All entries are to be filled-up correctly and should be same as that filled in the online form.
7. Attach Pay-in-slip: The candidate has to then attach the XLRI’s copy of the pay-in-slip in the space provided on the form. The Candidate’s copy of the pay-in-slip is to be carefully retained by the candidate for future reference, if any.
8. Send Certificate along with Form: The candidate has to then carefully detach the form from the prospectus and send it to XLRI Office, Jamshedpur along with the photo copies of 10th, 12th, graduation certificates (or latest mark sheet of papers/years completed till date) and SC/ST certificate (for SC/ST candidates only) through registered post/speed post/courier in the special envelope given inside the prospectus. This form along with pay-in-slip and photo copies of the educational certificates should reach the Admission Office, XLRI, Circuit House Area (East), Jamshedpur-831001 within seven days from date of purchase of prospectus.
9. Declaring Shortlisted Candidates: The list of the short listed candidates for XLRI GD / PI will be declared on the website www.xlri.ac.in by January 31, 2010. The names of the candidates who subsequently succeed in the selection interviews and/or group discussions for admission to XLRI will be intimated individually and also will be declared at the same website.
Procedure for obtaining XLRI Prospectus from the Admissions Office, XLRI Jamshedpur and the XLRI Registration
1. Register for XAT: A candidate interested in XLRI, has to first register for XAT. The XAT ID and password so obtained are required for applying to XLRI.
2. Cost of XLRI Prospectus: The cost of XLRI Prospectus 2010 depends on the number of programme(s) applied for. A candidate intending to apply for one programme or more than one but maximum of three programmes has to make a demand draft (DD) for an amount as given below.
For General candidates
A demand draft of Rs 950/- is to be made for one programme or for Rs 1550/- if applying for more than one but maximum of three programmes.
For SC/ST candidates
A demand draft of Rs 650/- is to be made for one programme or for Rs 1150/- if applying for more than one but maximum of three programmes.
3. Issue of Demand Draft (DD): The DD has to be drawn in favour of "XLRI Jamshedpur A/c Prospectus", payable at Jamshedpur
4. Register for XLRI: The candidate has to then log on to the website www.xlri.edu and open XLRI Registration. Here he/she has to fill in the XLRI form and opt for the programmes(s) he/she intends to apply for. The candidate has to provide the payment particulars of the demand draft number, amount, date and submit the form online. The candidate has to mention their XAT ID and name on the reverse of the draft.
5. Download XLRI PA Form: Once the candidate provides the demand draft details he/she can proceed to take printout of XLRI Payment Advise Form (XLRI PA Form).
6. Send the DD and Form: The candidate has to enclose the demand draft along with the duly completed XLRI PA Form and photo copies of 10th, 12th and graduation certificates (or latest mark sheet of papers/years completed till date) and SC/ST certificate (for SC/ST candidates only) through registered post/speed post/courier in the special envelope given inside the prospectus. XLRI PA Form along with DD and photo copies of the educational certificate should reach the Admissions Office, XLRI, Circuit House Area (East), Jamshedpur-831001 within seven days from date of purchase of prospectus. Candidates are advised to keep a photo copy of the DD and all the forms
that they send to XLRI for future reference. .
7. Mailing of XLRI Prospectus to candidates: XLRI Prospectus will be sent to the candidates after receiving the request complete in all respects. Candidates are not required to send the detachable form given inside the prospectus.

CAT 2009 Notification
Common Admission Test (CAT) ,Post Graduate Programmes in Management,Fellow Programmes in Management (FPM)
The Indian Institutes of Management will conduct Common Admission Test (CAT) during Saturday, 28 November 2009 - Monday, 7 December 2009. CAT is conducted by IIMs as a pre-requisite for admission to various management programmes of IIMs.These programmes are:
A. Post Graduate Programmes in Management
• IIM Ahmedabad PGP, PGP-ABM and PGP-PMP
• IIM Bangalore PGP, PGSEM and PGPPM
• IIM Calcutta PGP-PGDM and PGP-PGDCM

Separate advertisements will appear for the Fellow Programme of each institute as well as PGP-ABM of IIM Ahmedabad and IIM Lucknow, PGSEM and PGPPM Programmes of IIM Bangalore, PGDCM Programme of IIM Calcutta, and the EPGP of IIM Indore. Each IIM follows its own admission process independent of other IIMs. Before a prospective candidate makes a decision to appear for CAT, he/she must visit the websites and/or read programme advertisements of the concerned IIMs to ensure which programmes they want to apply for and what are the eligibility requirements and admission processes. List of non-IIM member institutions that have registered to avail the CAT 2009 scores is provided at www.catiim.in. CAT score use is restricted only for admission to IIMs and non-IIM member institutions. A candidate can appear for CAT 2009 only once during the 10-day testing window.
CAT ELIGIBILITY
The candidate must hold a Bachelor's Degree, with at least 50% marks or equivalent CGPA [45% in case of the candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST) and Differently Abled (DA) / Persons with Disability (PWD) categories], awarded by any of the Universities incorporated by an act of the central or state legislature in India or other educational institutions established by an act of Parliament or declared to be deemed as a University under Section 3 of the UGC Act, 1956, or possess an equivalent qualification recognized by the Ministry of HRD, Government of India. The percentage of marks obtained by the candidate in the bachelor's degree would be calculated based on the practice followed by the university/institution from where the candidate has obtained the degree. In case the candidates are awarded grades/CGPA instead of marks, the conversion of grades/CGPA to percentage of marks would be based on the procedure certified by the university/ institution from where they have obtained the bachelor's degree. In case the university/ institution does not have any scheme for converting CGPA into equivalent marks, the equivalence would be established by dividing the candidate's CGPA by the maximum possible CGPA and multiplying the result with 100. Candidates appearing for the final year of bachelor's degree/equivalent qualification examination and those who have completed degree requirements and are awaiting results can also apply. IIMs may verify eligibility at various stages of the selection process, the details of which are provided at the website www.catiim.in

SALE OF CAT 2009 VOUCHERS:
The CAT 2009 Vouchers can be obtained from branches of Axis Bank and their associated outlets during the period from Wednesday, 9 September 2009 to Thursday, 1 October 2009 for Rs. 1400/- (Rs. 700/- for SC/ST candidates). Please note that a candidate needs to buy only one CAT 2009 Voucher irrespective of the number of institutes he/she is applying to. Note that the Voucher must be bought only in the name of the candidate as it appears in the school leaving certificate. If the name has been changed due to events such as marriage, the candidate must show the relevant document such as a marriage certificate and submit a photocopy at the time of the test, interview and at the time of joining a programme. SC and ST candidates must show a copy of their SC/ST Certificates at the time of obtaining the CAT 2009 Voucher from the Axis Bank branches. Voucher once sold cannot be refunded under any circumstance including but not limited to loss of voucher, inability to read voucher number due to mishandling of the voucher by candidate, candidate being ineligible for taking CAT, CAT not being a pre-requisite for a programme, and rejection of candidate registration due to incomplete and/or wrong information. If the voucher is lost, voucher number is not readable due to mishandling of the voucher by candidate, and/or candidate thinks he/she has made mistake(s) in filling-out information during the online registration, then the candidate can purchase a new voucher and re-register online.

REGISTRATION FOR CAT:
On purchasing the CAT 2009 Voucher, prospective candidates must log on to the website www.catiim.in to register for CAT 2009. The registration window starts on Wednesday, 9 September 2009 and will close on Thursday, 1 October 2009. Details of the registration process are provided at the website www.catiim.in.
TEST CENTRES:
The test will be conducted in venues across many centres. These centres are Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Chandigarh, Chennai, Cochin, Coimbatore, Delhi, Durgapur, Faridabad, Ghaziabad, Greater Noida, Gurgaon, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Indore, Jaipur, Jamshedpur, Kolkata, Kozhikode, Lucknow, Mumbai, Nagpur, Noida, Patna, Pune, Ranchi, Siliguri, and Varanasi. Joint CSIR UGC NET December 2009 for JRF and Lectureship
Joint CSIR-UGC Test For Junior Research Fellowship
1. CSIR will hold the Joint CSIR-UGC Test For Junior Research Fellowship and Eligibility for Lectureship CSIR-UGC Test on Sunday, the 20th December 2009 for determining the eligibility of the Indian national candidates for the award of Junior Research Fellowships (JRF) NET and for determining eligibility for appointment of Lecturers (NET) in certain subject areas falling under the faculty of Science. The award of Junior Research Fellowship (NET) to the successful eligible candidates will depend on their finding admission/placement in a university/ national laboratory/ institution of higher learning and research, as applicable.
1.1 A candidate may apply either for 'JRF + Lectureship' both or for 'Lectureship (LS) only' He/she may indicate his/her preference in the O.M.R Application Form/Online Application, as the case may be. CSIR may consider candidates applying for 'JRF + LS' for 'Lectureship only" depending on number of fellowships available& performance in the test subject to the condition that they fulfill the laid down eligibility criterion . If a candidate is found to be over-age for JRF (NET) he/she will automatically be considered for Lectureship (NET) only.
1.2 Two separate merit lists, one comprising the candidates qualifying for the award of Junior Research Fellowship (JRF - NET) and the second, of those candidates qualifying the Eligibility Test for Lectureship (NET), will be made on the basis of their performance in the above Test. Candidates qualifying for JRF (NET), will also be eligible for Lectureship (NET). The candidates qualifying for Lectureship will be eligible for recruitment as Lecturers as well as for JRF-ship in a Scheme/Project, if otherwise suitable as per the eligibility criteria of that Scheme/Project. However they will not be eligible for Regular JRF-NET Fellowship. They will be eligible to pursue Ph.D. programme with or without any fellowship other than JRF-NET. Candidates qualifying for the award of JRF (NET) will receive fellowship either from CSIR or UGC as per their assignment or from the Schemes with which they may find association. The candidates declared eligible for Junior Research Fellowship under UGC scheme will be governed by UGC rules/regulations in this regard.
1.3 The final result of this test may be declared sometime in the month of March 2010 and fellowship to successful candidates could be awarded from 01.07. 2010. The result of Paper-I of last June, 2009 NET held on 21.06.2009 has been declared and may be seen on our website.
2.1 SUBJECTS OF THE TEST
The Test will be held in the subjects as given under:

2.2 EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION
M.Sc. or Equivalent degree under the subjects mentioned in para 2.1 above, with minimum 55% marks for General & OBC candidates; 50% for SC/ST candidates, Physically and Visually Handicapped candidates and Ph.D. degree holders who had passed Master's degree prior to 19th September 1991.
A candidate can also apply for the Test under RA (Result Awaited) category, if he/she is appearing or has appeared in his/her final year (III/IV Semester where Semester system is there) of M.Sc. OR equivalent Degree Examination in subjects mentioned in para 2.1 above during the academic Session 2009-2010. Such candidates will have to submit the attestation format (given at the reverse of the application form) duly certified by the Head of the Deptt./Institute over his/her signature and rubber stamp (with address and name) from where the candidate is appearing or has appeared in the final year M.Sc. or equivalent degree examination. However, such candidates shall be admitted to the Test provisionally. They shall only be considered eligible for JRF-(NET)/LS-(NET), if they are able to produce the proof of having passed the Master's Degree examination in the relevant or related subject with the requisite percentage of marks and within the stipulated time frame.
2.3 AGE LIMIT& RELAXATION
For JRF (NET): Minimum 19 Years and maximum 28 years as on 01-07-2009 (upper age limit may be relaxed up to 5 years as in case of candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC, Physically handicapped/Visually handicapped and female applicants).
For LS (NET): Minimum 19 years, as on 01.07.2009. No upper age limit.
3. DATE AND SCHEME OF THE TEST
3.1 The Test will be held in two sessions on Sunday, the 20th December 2009. The scheme of Examination as under:
PAPER I 200Marks 10.00AM-12.30PM

Negative marking will be made for wrong answers in Paper I. Paper II will be evaluated only in case of those candidates who will be able to secure a minimum of such aggregate marks in Paper- I as may be fixed by the CSIR.
Candidates are required to appear in both the papers. A candidate who does not appear in Paper I will not be permitted to appear in Paper II. The questions in papers-I & II will appear both in Hindi and English.
3.2 SYLLABUS OF THE TEST
Syllabus of Paper I (Section A), subject-wise syllabus of Paper I (Section B) and Paper II is given in the Information Bulletin for this test and may also be seen at CSIR website: www.csirhrdg.res.in.
4. EXAMINATION CENTRES
The test will be held at 25 Centres spread all over India, as specified below:
Bangalore, Bhavnagar, Bhopal, Bhubaneshwar, Chandigarh, Chennai, Cochin, Delhi, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Imphal, Jammu, Jamshedpur, Karaikudi, Kolkata, Lucknow, Nagpur, Pilani, Pune, Raipur Roorkee, Srinagar, Thiruvananthapuram, Udaipur and Varanasi.
A candidate may opt for any of the above centres. No request for change of centre would ordinarily be granted. However, a request in writing for change of Centre may be entertained on merits, if received in this unit latest by 20.10.2009.
5. HOW TO APPLY:
5.1. OPTION-I : APPLY THROUGH 'INFORMATION BULLETIN':
5.1.1. BY HAND:
Candidates applying for the Test may obtain the Information Bulletin and Application forms (inclusive of fee payable) through the branches of the Bank notified below in para 5.4 (within the prescribed dates) by paying the following fee in cash:

5.1.2. BY POST:
The information Bulletin and Application form may also be obtained through Value Payable Post(V.P.P.) from the Indian Bank, 3/1, West Patel Nagar, New Delhi - 110 008, by sending a crossed Demand draft for Rs. 400/-, Rs. 200/- or Rs.100/-(as the case may be) drawn in favour of "Indian Bank, West Patel Nagar, New Delhi" payable at New Delhi. For this purpose, the candidate should send a request to the Bank with
TWO self-addressed slips clearly mentioning the address at which he/she desires the Information Bulletin & Application Form to be sent by Value Payable Post (V.P.P.) As above mentioned Bank will entertain the request for forms through post from Tuesday, the 25 August, 2009 to Wednesday, the 16th September 2009 only, hence, candidates are advised to send well in advance so as to reach their request within the above said period. The candidate should write his/her name, Date Of Birth, address, date of Examination (20.12.2009) and subject code on the back of the Demand Draft so that it can be located easily, if it gets detached accidentally from the letter of request for supply of Information Bulletin. However, before attaching the draft with letter of request, the candidates should check that it bears the code number of the issuing bank and drawee bank and also amount and signatures of issuing authority.
5.2. OPTION-II : APPLY THROUGH ONLINE APPLICATION:
Interested & eligible candidates may apply for this test Online through a link available at CSIR, HRDG website : www.csirhrdg.res.in. In order to apply Online the candidates are required to download Bank challan Performa from the above website and then deposit the requisite examination fee in any of the Indian Bank branches through out the country. The examination fee for the Online application is same as mentioned in Para-5.1.1 above. Candidates after successfully submitting application online are required to take print out of the Application Form, paste his/her recent black & white photograph, put his/her signature at the required space, attach requisite certificates and send alongwith CSIR marked copy of fee deposited Bank Challan in an envelop to Sr. Controller of Examinations, Human Resource Development Group, Examination Unit, CSIR Complex, Library Avenue, Pusa, New Delhi-110012 so as to reach on or before 29.09.2009 (06.10.2009 for remote areas).
Online applications with out hard copy or bank challan receipt or incomplete in any respect will be summarily rejected. Before applying Online, candidates are advised to go through detailed notification available at CSIR, HRDG website.
Examination fee paid along with the Information Bulletin or through Bank Challan for a particular examination will neither be adjusted for any subsequent examination nor refunded under any circumstances. Similarly, candidates should also check all the column of Bank Challan, online application, which are to be filled in properly to avoid cancellation of application, Please note that Fee submitted any other mode like money order, demand draft, IPO etc. will be summarily rejected.

5.3. CANDIDATE SEEKING FEE CONCESSION
The candidate should attach an attested copy of the his/her category certificate as a proof of his/her claim. An application form (either through Bank or online), claiming any concession in fee & education qualification but without an attested copy of a valid SC/ST/OBC/PC/VC certificate from a competent authority and in prescribed format, will be summarily rejected.
Candidate must note that CSIR follows only Central Govt. lists and not state Govt. lists. Similarly, candidate applying under physically challenged (PC)/ visually challenged (VC) category may note that Govt. of India rules will be applicable in this regard.

6. Candidates seeking admission to the Test must apply in the prescribed application form supplied along with the
Information Bulletin for this test only. Please handle this form carefully while filling up. The completed application should
be sent only Under Certificate of Posting (U.P.C). in the prescribed envelope supplied with Information Bulletin.
Candidate should check that the Serial number printed on the Information Bulletin, Application form, Certificate of Postage card and on the envelope are the same. The application form should be filled-in by the candidate legibly and carefully, in his/her own handwriting with Black INK pen. 7. THE LAST DATE FOR SUBMISSION OF APPLICATION FORM:
The application form (through Bank or online), duly completed with requisite enclosures should be sent Under Certificate of Posting (U.P.C) to the Sr. Controller of Examinations, Examination Unit, Human Resource Development Group, CSIR Complex, Opposite Institute of Hotel Management, Library Avenue, Pusa, New Delhi 110012 so as to reach Examination Unit CSIR on or before 29.09.2009
For candidates applying from Mizoram, Manipur, Nagaland, Tripura, Sikkim, Ladakh Division of J&K State, Lahaul and Spiti district of Himachal Pradesh, Andaman and Nicobar Islands and Lakshdweep, the application form must reach the Controller of Examination CSIR on or before 06.10.2009
The candidates are advised in their own interest to apply early enough to ensure timely receipt of their applications by the Examination Unit on or before the closing date.

8. IMPORTANT POINTS:
1. While applying for this test, please ensure that you fulfill all the eligibility conditions and follow all the laid down procedures/guidelines for this test.
2. A candidate applying under "Result Awaited" category must be in final year (III/IV Semester (but not in I/II Semester) where Semester system is applicable) of M.Sc. OR equivalent Degree Examination in subjects mentioned in para 2.1, during the academic Session 2009-2010.
3. Purchase the Information Bulletin from the designated Bank branches early enough to avoid any last minute rush.
4. While applying Online, apply early enough to avoid any last minute rush.
5. Ensure that application must reach to this office within stipulated last date for receipt.
6. List of candidates registered for this test will be made available on our website tentatively on 20th November 2009. The candidates must refer to our website for checking their registration in time & for having update from rime to time.
7. Admission Certificates to all the registered candidates will be dispatched three weeks before the test, if any candidate does not receive the same by 11th December 2009, he/she must download duplicate Admission Certificate from our website. CSIR will not be responsible for any delay/non-receipt of the Admission certificate.
9. OTHER GENERAL INFORMATION:
(i) The candidates are advised to go through this notification and also terms & conditions given in Information Bulletin for this test. The candidate must satisfy themselves regarding their eligibility for this test before applying
for this test.
(ii) Candidates must read the terms and conditions for CSIR /UGC Research Fellowships on the respective websites.
(iii) Candidates applying through O.M.R. Application form must use only the form supplied with Information Bulletin and purchased from any of the designated branches of the Bank listed in para 5.4 above. They should ensure that while selling the form, the bank has authenticated the form at reverse of the application form in space provided for this purpose. Application Form should be purchased from designated branches only and not from any other agency.
(iv) Candidates should follow the instruction for filling the O.M.R. Application. The duly completed application form must be sent under U.P.C. and apply early enough to ensure timely receipt of their applications by the Examination
Unit on or before the closing date. The Certificate of Postage' (proof of dispatch) may be preserved as acknowledgement.
(iv) Candidate desirous of applying Online for this test will be required to deposit fee through Bank challan in
any branch of Indian Bank and then apply at CSIR, HRDG website. After successfully submitting the application, candidates are required to take a printout on A4 size paper, affix photograph at designated space & sign across it, get endorsed by the HOD (for RA category only) and send it alongwith copy of Bank challan and other requisite enclosures, if any.
(v) Candidates applying through Online application must note that mode of payment of fee is Bank challan from Indian Bank only. Fee submitted through any other mode viz.IPO,/demand draft/money order/ CRF stamp etc will not be accepted. Incomplete application or application submitted in any other format will be summarily rejected and no correspondence will be entertained in this regard.
(vi) The eligible candidates, in their own interest, are advised to keep Certificate of Postage and photocopy of both
sides of the completed Application Form and three identical copies of the passport size photographs which has been affixed on the Application Form.
(vii) Candidates willing to apply through online application should see detailed notification and Instruction for applying
online at our website www.csirhrdg.res.in and apply early enough to avoid any last minute rush.
(ix) Candidates should ensure that the signatures appended by them in all the places viz. In their application form,
Attendance Sheet etc. and in all the correspondence with the CSIR, should be identical and there should be no
variation of any kind.
(x) Any change in address of correspondence should be promptly brought to the notice of Examination Unit within
the prescribed period i.e. by 20.10.2009.
(xi) The Center and date of the Test are liable to be changed at the discretion of CSIR. No TA/DA will be paid to the
candidates by the CSIR.
(xii) Candidates should note that their candidature is strictly provisional till their joining. No candidate will be
admitted to the Test unless he/she holds the admission Certificate to the Test. The mere fact that an Admission Certificate has been issued to a candidate will not imply that the Council has finally accepted his/her
candidature.
(xiii) The candidate may please note candidates declared successful will be required to submit a copy of their Admit
Card, matriculation certificate/mark sheet, M.Sc. or its equivalent degree certificate/mark sheet to Deputy
Secretary (Exam), Examination Unit, Human Resource Development Group, CSIR Complex, Opposite Institute of Hotel Management, Library Avenue, Pusa, New Delhi 110012. No separate intimation letter will be issued to successful candidate.
(xiv) Candidates may note that the verification of essential eligibility conditions of a candidate with reference to the documents as may be called for, will be taken up only by the Lecturer appointing/JRF awarding authorities after the candidate has qualified in the Test. The candidate should note that their candidature is strictly provisional till their joining.

(xvi) In all matters the decision of the CSIR as to the eligibility or otherwise of a candidate for admission to the Test or his/her subsequent qualifying in the Test shall be final.
(xvii) Any attempt on the part of a candidate to obtain support for his / her candidature by any means may disqualify
him/her for admission to the examination.
(xviii) A candidate who is found of guilty of impersonation or of submitting fabricated documents or documents which have been tempered with or of making statements which are incorrect or false or of suppressing material information or otherwise resorting to any other irregular or improper means for obtaining admission to the examination, or of using or attempting to use unfair means or of misbehavior in the examination hall, may, in addition to rendering himself liable to criminal prosecution:
(a) Be debarred by the CSIR from this test and future tests also.
(b) Will be liable to disciplinary action under the appropriate rules, if he/she is already in service under Government/Autonomous Bodies/UGC/CSIR.
(xix) All disputes pertaining to the NET Examination shall fall within the jurisdiction of Delhi only.

How To Apply:
All Colleges of SGI grant direct admission as per government norms for which students have to register themselves at the respective institute or at the Corporate Office (New Delhi). The Information Brochure and Registration Form can be obtained from the office on payment of Rs 600/- (by post Rs 650/-) a non-refundable registration fee. For BDS course, application form is available for Rs 1000/- by post Rs 1050/-.
PG Diploma in Hospital Administration (PGDHA)

Category 2: For MCA (For both Indian and foreign nationals) GMAT score >530 For all other courses (For both Indian and foreign nationals) GMAT score >600

M.Tech Programme in Nuclear Engineering

Regular Candidates (Individual applicants)
* Candidates applying for the full-time M.Tech programme in Nuclear Engineering must have a B.E. /B.Tech degree in one of the following:
Mechanical Engineering
Electrical Engineering
Electronics Engineering
Instrumentation Engineering
Chemical Engineering
Civil Engineering
Industrial Engineering
Metallurgical engineering
* Candidates having an M.Sc degree in Physics / Electronics may also apply.
* Candidates must have secured a minimum CPI of 6.5 or 60% marks in their degree examination.
Company-sponsored candidates
* Working executives who are sponsored by their organizations for the programme must satisfy the above criteria along with having a minimum industry experience of two years.
Selection Process:
Admissions to the M.Tech programme in Nuclear Engineering will commence from 17th August, 2009. A candidate has to apply as prescribed in the application form available on the website.
The selection procedure for admission to the post-graduate programme is a two-stage process.
* Stage I : Admission Test
An admission test will be conducted on Sunday, 27th September, 2009 at PDPU Campus.
Admission test will be common for all candidates. It will be based upon the fundamentals of Engineering, Physics, Mathematics. Duration of the test will be 1 hour. The test format will be objective-type; however, certain questions may need demonstration of calculations. The test would comprise of about 40-50 questions, out of which candidates are expected to attempt about 30 questions.
* Stage II : GD & Personal Interview
Based on the performances in Stage I, applicants will be invited for a Personal Interview shortly after the admission test on Sunday, 27th September, 2009.
Other factors including academic rigor, significant achievements and/or work experience will be considered.
Final Admission List will be put up on the website on 28th September, 2009.
