NOTE:
In compliance with the directive of the Hon'ble Supreme Court of India,the Central Board Of Secondary Education,Delhi,would be conducting the All India Pre-Medical/Pre-Dental Entrance Examination,2010. This entrance examination is being conducted exclusively for the 15% merit positions for the Medical/Dental Colleges of India as specified in the directive of the court and will be governed by the rules and regulations specified for the same by the Government of India,Ministry of Health and Family Welfare from time to time.
Eligibility and Qualifications
(i) He/She has completed age of 17 years at the time of admission or will complete the age on or before 31st December of the year of his/her admission to the 1st year MBBS/BDS Course and is an INDIAN NATIONAL.
(ii) The upper age limit for All India Pre-Medical /Pre-Dental Entrance Examination is 25 years as on 31st December of the year of the entrance examination. Further provided that this upper age limit shall be relaxed by a period of 5 (five) years for the candidates of Scheduled Castes/Scheduled Tribes/Other Backward Classes.
Candidate must born between -
(a) 31.12.80 to 31.12.93 (SC/ST/OBC Category)
(b) 31.12.85 to 31.12.93 (Other Category)
(iii) The number of attempts which a candidate can avail at All India Pre-Medical/Pre-Dental Entrance Examination shall be limited to 3 (three) uniformly for all the candidates.
(iv) Students from the States of Andhra Pradesh/J&K are not eligible, as both these States had opted out of All India Scheme since its inception. If they claim eligibility they must submit an affidavit, in original, in the Proforma on Rs 10/- Non-Judicial Stamp Paper duly sworn before and attested by a Metropolitan Magistrate/First Class Judicial Magistrate to the effect that:-
a) They are not eligible to compete for MBBS/BDS seats in the States of Andhra Pradesh/J&K and hence not eligible to seek admission in Medical/Dental Colleges of Andhra Pradesh/J&K.
and
b) They are not domiciled in Andhra Pradesh/J&K.
Note : Applications not accompanied with the required affidavits or accompanied with incomplete, unattested or photocopy of the affidavit shall be summarily rejected without any further reference in the matter. The affidavits submitted by such candidates will be verified and if found to be false, the admission of all such candidates shall be cancelled and criminal proceedings may be initiated against them.

(v) Qualifications and Qualifying examination Codes:

The Higher/Senior Secondary Examination or the Indian School Certificate Examination which is equivalent to 10+2 Higher/Senior Secondary Examination after a period of 12 years study, the last two years of such study comprising of Physics, Chemistry, Biology (which shall include practical tests in these subjects) and Mathematics or any other elective subject with English at a level not less than the core course for English as prescribed by the National Council of Educational Research and Training after introduction of the 10+2+3 educational structure as recommended by the National Committee on Education.
NOTE: where the course content is not as prescribed for 10 +2 education structure of the National Committee, the candidates will have to undergo as a period of one year pre - professional traninging before admission to the Medical Colleges.

The Intermediate/Pre-degree Examination in Science of an Indian University/Board or other recognised examining body with Physics, Chemistry, Biology (which shall include practical test in these subjects) and English.

The Pre-professional/Pre-medical Examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology & English after passing either the Higher Secondary Examination or the Pre-University or an equivalent examination. The Pre-professional/Pre-medical examination shall include practical test in these subjects.

The first year of the three years' degree course of a recognised University with Physics, Chemistry and Biology including practical tests in these subjects provided the examination is a University Examination and further that he/she has passed the earlier qualifying examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English.

B.Sc. Examination of an Indian University provided that he/she has passed the B.Sc. Examination with not less than two of the subjects Physics, Chemistry, Biology (Botany, Zoology) and further that he/she has passed the earlier qualifying examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English

Any other examination which in scope and standard (Last 02 years of 10+2 Study comprising of Physics, Chemistry and Biology; Which shall include practical test in these subjects.) is found to be equivalent to the Intermediate Science Examination of an Indian University/Board, taking Physics, Chemistry and Biology including practical tests in each of these subjects and English.

A candidate who is taking up the qualifying examination prior to the competitive test, or whose result is awaited, may also apply and take up the said test but he/she shallnot be eligible for admission to the MBBS or BDS, if
he/she does not pass the qualifying examination with the required pass percentage of marks at the time of first round of allotment by personal appearance.
Provided that to be eligible for competitive entrance examination, candidate must have passed any of the qualifying examinations as enumerated above. Provided also that to be eligible for competitive entrance examination the candidate must have passed in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English individually and must have obtained a minimum of 50% marks taken together in Physics, Chemistry and Biology at the qualifying examination. In respect of the candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes or Other Backward Classes the marks obtained in Physics, Chemistry and Biology taken together in qualifying examination and competitive entrance examination be 40% marks instead of 50% for General Candidates. Further, for persons with locomotory disability of lower limbs, the minimum of 45% marks for Gen-PH and 40% marks for SC-PH/ST-PH/OBC-PH are required.
Provided further that the students of Indian Nationality educated abroad seeking admission into medical colleges in India must have passed in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English upto the 12th standard level with 50% marks and their equivalency determined as per regulations of the Medical Council of India and the concerned University. If a candidate does not fall within the qualifications prescribed as per Code number 01-06 he/she should furnish complete details to determine eligibility.
(vi) RESERVATION
Reservation will be made as per following details in 15% All India quota:
15% seats are reserved for SC candidates,
7.5% seats are reserved for ST candidates,
27% seats are reserved for non-creamy layer OBC candidates in Central Educational Institutions only as per Hon'ble Supreme Court order dated 10.04.2008,
(iv) 3% seats are reserved on horizantal basis for PH candidates. The reservation will be made as per 2200 point reservation roster.The mode of implementation of reservation will be available on DGHS website-www.mohfw.nic.in
NOTE:
(a) The Pre-medical course may be conducted either at a Medical College or at a Science College.
(b) After the 10+2 course is introduced the integrated courses be abolished.
(c) Marks obtained in Mathematics are not to be considered for admission to M.B.B.S. Course.
(d) No State eligibility criteria will be applicable to the students who take admission under 15% All India Quota Scheme.

The The National Institute of Bank Management, Pune has announced the admission to the two-year, residential, Post Graduate Programme in Banking and Finance for 2010-12.

MANAGE invite applications for admission in its 15th batch of Post Graduate Diploma in Management (Agri-Business Management), a two-year full time programme. The PG Diploma at MANAGE is the niche programme in agri-business management and have attracted the attention of reputed national and multinational companies achieving 100 per cent placement since inception. The PG Diploma is approved by AICTE and accredited by National Board of Accreditation.
ELIGIBILITY: The minimum qualification for admission into the Diploma is a FOUR YEAR bachelors degree at least with second division or its equivalent OGPA in Agriculture or allied subjects or Veterinary Science or Dairy Technology or Food Technology from any Agricultural University or Institution recognized by the ICAR / UGC.

IMPORTANT NOTE
Candidates appearing for their qualifying examinations can also apply. Their admission, however, will be provisional and subject to obtaining the defined eligibility by 30th June, 2010. Proof of the candidates having successfully passed the qualifying examination will have to be produced at the time of joining the programme. Compartment cases as on date of admission will not be considered for admission. In case, candidates do not produce the required documents by 30th June, 2010, their admission will be cancelled and 50% of the tuition fee will be refunded.
Non fulfillment of the above conditions will automatically result in the cancellation of the provisional admission.
ADMISSION TEST
All eligible candidates will have to appear for a written entrance examination at the Examination Centres opted by them. The written entrance examination is designed to test the knowledge, skill and aptitude of the candidates for the programme opted.
The objective type tests are subject to negative marking. The negative marking will apply at the rate of 0.25 for each wrong answer.
The written entrance examination will be conducted on 21st February, 2010 at the cities mentioned in the table.
The candidate has to select only ONE city for the examination. The candidate should write the two-digit Exam Centre Code on the OMR(Optical Marker Reader) Application Form at item no. 15, and shade the corresponding oval below each digit.
Candidature are cautioned to fill this code and shade correctly as the allotment of the required Examination Centre will be based on this information only.
Please note that NIFT reserves the right to cancel any of the Examination Centres mentioned. In such case , alternate centre which is administratively convenient will be allotted.
Please note that the request for change of Examination Centre will not be entertained.
IMPORTANT:
The candidates applying for the examination should ensure that they fulfill all the eligibility criteria for admission to the examination. Their admission at all the stages of the examination for which they are admitted by NIFT viz. Written Test, Situation Test, Group Discussion and Interview (as the case may be) will be purely provisional, subject to their satisfying the prescribed eligibility conditions. If on verification at any time before or after the Written Test, Situation Test, Group Discussion and Interview (as the case may be), It is found that candidate does not fulfill any eligibility criteria, his / her candidature for the examination shall stand cancelled without any notice or further reference.

Deposit of Fee-
Fees are to be deposited on or before the given date.
For late deposit of fees no excuse will be entertained.
Selected candidates will have to deposit the fee within six working days after the declaration of successful candidates list. In case the fee is not deposited in the stipulated time, the student's claim to the admission expires and the same will be passed on to the first waiting list candidates.
Registration fees (Non-Refundable) :
For MBA/MCA-Rs 15,000/-
Above given Registration Fees (is to be deposited when your admission is confirmed before the prescribed date and time) is Non- refundable. If Registration Fees is not deposited within the given date and time your admission will be considered cancelled.
Session Start date
At the time of deposit of fee the students will be intimated regarding the session start date.
Cancellations of Admission and Refund of Fee:
The candidate canceling his or her confirmed paid up admission will be entitled to receive the refund of fees after deducting the amount as indicated below. Time of Cancellation and Amount of to be deducted from the date of securing the admission (Deposit of Registration + First Instalment of Fees).
(Registration Fees is non Refundable/Non Transferable/Non Adjustable under any circumstances.)
From first day to 10th day - 20% of fees paid will be deducted and rest will be refunded and no interest will be paid.
From 11th day to 30th day - 50% of fees paid will be deducted and rest will be refunded and no interest will be paid.

Group A: For MD(Psychiatry) and D.P.M.:- Selected candidates may be considered for Residency Scheme as applicable to the Central Government Institutions. The residency scheme is limited and may not be available to some candidates joining the course on enhanced seats. However, it may be provided subject to sanctioning of the same by the Government.
Group B & C: Selected candidates may be considered for scholarship of Rs. 2500/- per month in the first and second year, and Rs. 2800/- per month in the third year. The scholarships is limited and may not be available to some candidates joining the course on enhanced seats. However, it may be provided subject to sanctioning of the same by the Government.
Group D: Selected candidates may be considered for stipend of Rs. 250/- per month. The scholarships is limited and may not be available to some candidates joining the course on enhanced seats. However, it may be provided subject to sanctioning of the same by the Government.
Selection procedure for M.D. and D.P.M. course
The selection will depend upon marks obtained in the entrance examination. The entrance test will be of MCQ type consisting of 100 questions to be answered in 60 minutes. There will be 0.25 negative marking for each wrong answer. The test will have questions of MBBS standard in the following approximate distribution: 20% from Psychiatry and allied behavioural sciences 15% from Neurology 30% from General Medicine 35% from rest of Medical subjects
For Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology, M.Phil in Medical and Social Psychology and M.Phil in Psychiatric Social Work courses also the entrance test will be of MCQ type consisting of 100 questions to be answered in 60 minutes. The test will have questions of M.A. /M.Sc. standard. There will be 0.25 negative marking for each wrong answer.
For Diploma in Psychiatric nursing course there shall not be a written entrance examination. However, there will be an interview for the selection of the candidates.
Note: Candidates applying for both M.D. and D.P.M. and for both Ph.D. (Clinical Psychology) and M.Phil in Medical and Social Psychology courses starting from May 1, 2010 need to submit only one application each. They should clearly mention the names of the course applied for, in order of preference.
For MD (Psychiatry 3 Years Course) and Diploma in Psychological Medicine (DPM):-One year Compulsory Rotating Internship to be completed by 15.02.2010 For MD (Post DPM, 2 Years Course), Ph.D.(Clinical Psychology, Post M.Phil 2 Years course) :- Certificate of passing DPM, M.Phil (M&SP/Clinical Psychology) on or before 30.04.2010.
For M.Phil (M&SP), M.Phil (PSW):- M.A./M.Sc. in Psychology, Sociology & Social Work, the results to be declared on or before 15.02.2010.
For the D.P.N.:- 2 years working experience certificate as a staff nurse on or before 15.02.2010.
The candidates who do not fulfill above criteria need not apply.
The number of seats in each discipline is subject to change without assigning any
reason.
15% and 7 V£% seats are reserved for Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe candidates respectively, subject to availability of such candidates. There shall also be reservation of 3% horizontal reservation for physically-handicapped persons {only for locomotory disabilities of lower limbs between 50% to 70%} subject to availability of such candidates. There will be 27% seats reserved for OBC candidates subject to availability of such candidates. There will be no reservation in Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology course.
Attested photocopies of all certificates, mark sheets, testimonials, Caste Certificate/Disability certificate if applicable, etc. should be attached with the application form.
Details of research experience, if any, in the form of research publications in peer-reviewed journals or research papers presented in scientific conferences may be attached on separate sheet(s) of paper. Reprints of research papers may also be attached.
The application form is to be submitted electronically by internet to CIP website: www.cipranchi.nic.in and a hard copy of the same application form printed on A4 size bond paper complete in all respect along with a Demand Draft of Rs.400/-for General candidate and Rs.300/ for SC/ST/OBC candidates(non-refundable) in favour of Director, CIP, Ranchi payable at Bank of Baroda, Kanke, Ranchi should reach the Director, Central Institute of Psychiatry, Kanke, Ranchi-834006 (Jharkhand) by December 14, 2009. The hard copy of the application form must be duly signed by the candidate and his/her photograph pasted in appropriate place. Incomplete applications not accompanied with Demand Draft, attested photocopies of all certificates, mark sheets, testimonials, Caste Certificate/Disability certificate if applicable or applications received after due date , i.e., December 14, 2009, shall not be considered. The admit card and a covering letter having necessary instructions will be made available on the CIP website (www.cipranchi.nic.in). The admit card and the covering letter are to be downloaded and printed by the candidates and the same to be brought with them to the examination centre. Examinee will not be allowed to enter the examination hall with any electronic communication gadgets viz. Mobile Phones, Pager etc. Examinees, who come to the examination centre, with any such gadget, he/she has to make his/her own arrangements for keeping these outside the examination centre. This should be strictly complied with.
From the pool of applicants suitable candidates would be asked to appear for a written examination and interview/counseling at this institute, which shall be between February 21-27, 2010. How to Apply
The Information Brochure (Ph.D. Prospectus) containing application forms and other details for research programmes are available on sale counter (Registration Branch) on payment of Rs.500 (Rs.125/- in case of SC/BC candidates of Haryana) w.e.f. 16.11.2009 to 10.12.2009. Candidates may obtain the same by post from Asstt. Registrar (Regn.) upto 04.12.2009 by sendinq Demand Draft of Rs. 550/-(Rs. 175/- in caseof SC/BC candidates of Haryana) in favour of 'Registrar, GJUS&T, Hisar' payable at Hisar. The application forms and other details may be downloaded from university website www.gju.ernet.in also. Such application must be attached with a Bank Draft of Rs. 500/- (Rs. 125/- in case of SC/BC candidates of Haryana).
Candidates applying for more than one department should submit separate application for each department. Reservation is applicable for SC/ST candidates as per Haryana State Govt, policy.
Candidates admitted for Ph.D. programme should have to stay in the University for Pre-Ph.D. course of one semester. The Ph.D. Scholarships as mentioned in Column (4) above would be awarded to the whole time research scholars with a scholarship of Rs.18000/- per month and an additional amount of Rs.5000/- (contingency expenses). In addition to above there is one University Research Scholarship of Rs.5000/- per month for Ph.D programme in each department. For award of scholarships, candidates are required to appear in Entrance Test. The Entrance Test will be of two hours duration with 100 marks consisting of 50 questions of one marks each (objective type) and 10 questions of five marks each (subjective type).

CATEGORIES:
The candidate shall be admitted to the Ph. D. Programme under following categories:
Full Time Regular: A student in this category works full-time for his/ her Ph. D. degree. He/ She receives assistantship from the Institute or fellowship from CSIR/ UGC or any other recognized funding agency.
Full-time Sponsored:
A candidate in this category will be sponsored by recognized R&D organization, academic institution, government organization or industry for doing research in the Institute on full-time basis. He/ she must be a regular employee of the sponsoring organization with at least one year of professional experience in relevant field. The Institute does not provide any assistantship/ fellowship to such candidate.
Part-time Self Sponsored (Internal):
A candidate in this category will be an employed person of NIT Patna who is desirous of pursuing Ph. D. Programme simultaneously while discharging the duties of his/ her services. He/ she must be a regular employee of the Institute. The Institute does not provide any assistantship/ fellowship to such candidate.
Part-time Self Sponsored (External):
This category refers to the candidates employed in R&D organization/ academic institution/ Industry having adequate research facilities. The research work leading to the Ph. D. Degree shall be carried out largely in the parent organization but with overall guidance provided by faculty member (Institute Supervisor) of the department in which he/ she is enrolled. He/ she must be a regular employee of the sponsoring organization with at least two years of professional experience in the relevant field. The Institute does not provide any assistantship/ fellowship to such candidate.
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR SELECTION:
Candidates with following qualification shall be eligible for admission to the Ph. D. Programme of the Institute.
For Engineering, Technology and Architecture Departments:
(a) Candidates possessing M. Tech/ M. E/ M. Sc. (Engg.)/ M. Arch or equivalent Degree in relevant branch from a recognized University/ Institute with minimum 60% marks (or a CGPA of 6.5 in 10 point scale) in the qualifying examination shall be considered for admission in the departments as per their Specialization only.
(b) Candidates possessing B. Tech/ B. E/ B. Sc. (Engg.)/ B. Arch or equivalent Degree in relevant branch from a recognized University/ Institute with minimum 75% marks (or a CGPA of 8.25 in 10 point scale) in all (from 10th onward) examinations including qualifying examination may be considered in exceptional cases after approval of DRC. Such candidates must have professional/ research experience of at least ten years in reputed Institutions/ Organizations.
For Science, Humanities & Social Science Departments:
Candidates possessing Master's Degree in the area of Science, Humanities and Social Science from a recognized University/ Institute with minimum 60% marks (or a CGPA of 6.5 in 10 point scale) in the qualifying examinations shall be considered for admission in the departments as per their Specialization only.
