The LSAT-India (Law School Admission Test - India) is a standardized test of reading and verbal reasoning skills designed by the USA based Law School Admission Council (LSAC) for use by law schools in India.
The LSAT—India will be administered across 16 Pearson VUE test centre locations in India and at select overseas Pearson VUE test centre locations on 16th May, 2010. The test will be administered in a paper and pencil format in India and in computer-based testing (CBT) mode at overseas locations.
LSAT INDIA Test Pattern
The LSAT—India is a paper-and-pencil test with four sections. Two of the sections contain logical reasoning questions; one section contains analytical reasoning questions; and one section contains reading comprehension questions. The amount of time allotted for each section is 35 minutes. There is one 15-minute break between section 2 and section 3. All questions are in a multiple-choice format, some with four answer choices and others with five. Answers are collected on a scannable answer sheet. The total duration of the test is 2 hours and 35 minutes including a break of 15 minutes.
The registration fee for the LSAT—India for candidates testing within India is Rs.3500. For candidates testing outside India, the registration fee is USD 150. The online registration window is from 25th January, 2010 to 19th April, 2010. On payment of an additional fee, candidates testing within India can register up to 30th April, 2010. Registration for the LSAT—India is online and can be done by submitting the form on the LSAT—India website. Payment for the registration by test takers in India can be done online (via credit card only) or through a demand draft. The demand draft should reach the below mentioned address on or before 19th April, 2010 either by post or courier.

Register online for the LSAT—India entrance test by logging on to www.pearsonvueindia.com/lsatindia. The LSAT—India registration fee is Rs. 3500/-; the fee can be paid online or by a demand draft. You can also contact Pearson VUE at LSATIndia@pearson.com for more information. For candidates who want to take the LSAT—India at Pearson VUE overseas test centres, the registration fee is USD 150. Students can find additional details, at www.pearsonvueindia.com/lsatindia. On completion of their registration all candidates will get an LSAT—India registration number. Candidates will need to mention this LSAT—India registration number while submitting the application forms of the participating colleges.
After obtaining the LSAT—India registration number, the candidate must download/obtain the Application Form from the participating college; the college Admission Application Forms will require candidates to mention their LSAT—India registration number. Candidates must ensure that they write their LSAT—India registration number at the given place in the Application Form of the participating colleges.
All registrants who complete the test registration, pay the test fee in a timely way, and follow published test rules may sit for the LSAT—India - It is your responsibility to understand the eligibility requirements of the participating law schools to which you are applying before deciding whether to register for the LSAT—India. If you register for the test and then determine that you are ineligible for admission to your intended law school, no test- fee refund will be available.

Notification
The Common Admission Test for Academic Admissions 2010 will be conducted on 8th and 9th of May 2010 at various test centers all over India.
Applications are invited from eligible candidates for admission to the various academic programmes of the University for the year 2010-11. Admissions are based on Common Admission Test (CAT)/ Departmental Admission Test (DAT) / Test for Lateral Entry (LET).
Only online registration will be considered for all academic programmes of the university except M.Phil, M.A. translation in German/Russian, Ph.D and diploma/certificate programmes.
Admission details, Eligibility conditions and other particulars will be available in the detailed Notification published in the website www.cusat.nic.in.
Candidates having the nativity status “Keralites” can apply only through OMR application form which can be had from selected branches of State Bank of Travancore whereas “Non-Keralites” should submit their application through “On-line” only.

e. B.Tech in Marine Engg. **(Residential Programme)
(1) Pass in Plus Two or equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and English as separate subjects with a PCM average of not less than 60% marks & minimum 50% for Mathematics and should have obtained 50% marks in English at 10th or 12th standards. For SC/ST candidates, no relaxation in qualification.
(2) Vocational/Diploma students are not eligible to apply.
(3) The Maximum age limit prescribed is 25 years as on 1st September 2009.

f. Admissions to the following M.Tech programmes are based on valid GATE score as prescribed under the academic regulations specific to each programme. Candidates not possessing GATE may also apply, but will be considered only if GATE qualified candidates are not available. In such cases, admissions will be based on the Departmental Aptitude Test (DAT).
M.Tech Atmospheric Science – (1) M.Sc degree or its equivalent in Meteorology, Oceanography, Mathematics, Physics, Space Physics with a First Class (60%) marks from any recognized university or institution. (2) A valid GATE score or a pass in the Joint UGC CSIR Test (NET) for JRF.

PATTERN OF EXAMINATION: BOTH PRELIMINARY AND FINAL EXAMINATION WOULD BE OBJECTIVE TYPE.
Eligibility for CBSE AIPMT 2010
(i) He/She has completed age of 17 years at the time of admission or will complete the age on or before 31st December of the year of his/her admission to the 1st year M.B.B.S./B.D.S. course and is an INDIAN NATIONAL.
(ii) The upper age limit for All India Pre-Medical/Pre-Dental Entrance Examination is 25 years as on 31st December of the year of the entrance examination. Further provided that upper age limit shall be relaxed by a period of 5 (five) years for the candidates of Scheduled Castes/Scheduled Tribes/Other Backward Classes.
(iii) The number of attempts which a candidate can avail at All India Pre-Medical/Pre- Dental Entrance Examination shall be limited to 3 (three) uniformly for all the candidates.
(iv) The candidate must have passed in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English individually and must have obtained a minimum of 50% marks taken together in Physics, Chemistry and Biology at the qualifying examination. In respect of candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribes or Other Backward Classes the marks obtained in Physics, Chemistry and Biology taken together in qualifying examination be 40% instead of 50% for General Candidates. Further, for persons for locomotory disability of lower limbs, the minimum of 45% marks for General-PH and 40% marks for SC-PH/ST-PH/OBC-PH are required. Online submission of application may be made by accessing the Board’s website www.aipmt.nic.in from 20-10-2009 (10.00 A.M.) to 27-11-2009 (5.00 P.M.).
How to Apply ?
Instructions for sending online application, payment of fee and computer generated printout are available on the Board’s website.

University of Delhi, Faculty of Medical Sciences invites applications for The Delhi University Medical-Dental Entrance Test (DUMET)- 2010 for admission to Under-Graduate courses (MBBS/BDS) will be held on Sunday, 23rd May, 2010 at Delhi only. Interested candidates may apply on the prescribed application form. Integrated Ph.D. Programme
JNCASR invites applications for admission to the Integrated (Int.) Ph.D. programme in Materials Science, Chemical Science and Biological Science. The Integrated Ph.D programme in Biological Science will be independently offered in the disciplines of 'Evolutionary and Organismal Biology' and, 'Molecular Biology and Genetics'.
Minimum Requirement:
Candidates should have a minimum of 55% marks at the Bachelor’s (B.Sc/B.E/ B.Tech.) level. Candidates who are appearing for their final examination this year can also apply.
Eligibility criteria and Mode of Selection:
Materials Science: Students with Bachelor’s degree in any branch of Science can apply. Those with Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with an aptitude towards scientific research will also be considered. Candidates are expected to have sound knowledge in the fundamentals of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. Candidates applying for Materials Science will have to first take a written test and those short listed will have to appear for interview. The written entrance test for Materials Science will be held at four different Centres in the country. Chemical Science: Students with Bachelor’s degree in any branch of Science with Chemistry as a major can apply. Candidates will be selected through interviews.
Biological Science:
a) Evolutionary and Organismal Biology: Students with Bachelor’s degree in any branch of Science/Mathematics/Statistics can apply. Those with Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with an aptitude towards scientific research will also be considered. Candidates will be selected through an interview for those who are shortlisted after scrutiny of the application forms.
b) Molecular Biology and Genetics: Students with Bachelor’s degree in any branch of Science can apply. Candidates will be shortlisted to appear for a written entrance test in the areas of Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics at JNCASR after the scrutiny of the applications forms . Based on their performance in the written test , the candidates will be shortlisted th same day and called for an oral examination/interview the next day.
