The core of curriculum in Bachelor of Catering Technology & Culinary Arts (BCT & CA) offers the most intensive and complete training in classic techniques of professional cooking. Our Curriculum is the hands on instruction of basic cooking, baking and presentation skills and the theoretical knowledge that must underline competency. The objective is to teach the students what works in both the front and the back of the house along with the reasons it works. The course structure is divided into one year and four Semesters.

Eligibility:

Candidate should be 17 years of age at the time of commencement of the course. A pass in any 10+2 scheme approved by the Osmania University with minimum of 50% aggregate marks in any stream. Candidate for whom English is not their medium of instruction must demonstrate competency in English. In the selection procedure at the time of enrollment. Pre-Ph.D./Ph.D in physical sciences/chemical sciences/mathematical science, the emphasis is on topics of chemical physics, computational physics, disordered systems, granular materials, mathematical physics, non-equilibrium statistical mechanics, nonlinear dynamics, quantum chaos, quantum magnetism and strongly correlated systems, quantum optics, statistical nuclear physics; experimental areas include complex fluids, materials science, superconductivity, magnetism, nonlinear optics, semiconductors, polymers and nanoparticle physics

Eligibility

Physical sciences: M.Sc degree in Physics, Chemistry or Mathematics with at least 55% marks. Candidates having majored in Physics or Chemistry should have had mathematics at least up to the B.Sc level. Exceptions can be made in case of applicants with B.Tech (Electronics/Electrical) degrees provided they successfully qualify the entrance examination

Chemical sciences: M.Sc degree in chemistry or physics, with at least 55% marks. Candidates majoring in chemistry should have specialization in organic/inorganic/physical chemistry/chemical physics at the Master’s level

How to apply: Sets of application form and prospectus can be obtained either (i) through post by sending crossed bank draft (valid for six months) for Rs 300/- drawn in favour of Jawaharlal Nehru university payable at New Delhi along with a self addressed (unstamped) envelope of the minimum size of 30 cms x 25 cms clearly indicating the category for which the application form is required on the self-addressed envelope to the section officer (admissions), room no 28, administrative block, Jawaharlal Nehru university, New Delhi-110067.

Candidates seeking application form and prospectus from Nepal are required to send a bank draft of Indian Rs 400/- or equivalent in US dollars. Money orders and cheques are not accepted. Eligibility Criteria: Graduates in any discipline with 50% minimum marks from any university recognized by the Association of Indian Universities are eligible. Candidates in their final year of graduation may also apply.

Having Work Experience is not a requirement for admission to the program, however candidates with work experience are welcome.

Entrance Test Score Submission: ITM uses standardized management entrance test scores as a part of its overall selection process. Candidates are not selected/disqualified on the basis of their test scores only. The test score is just one part of an overall candidate profile. The following test scores are accepted:
CAT (Common Admission Test)
XAT (Xavier’s Admission Test)
GMAT (Graduate Management Aptitude Test)
MAT ( Management Aptitude Test)
Submit an attested copy of your Test Score Card along with the application form. If you have not received your test score, give details of Test Registration Number, Test Centre Code, etc.

Application Procedure: Candidates seeking admission to ITM Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) need to fill up separate application forms for CAT & ITM. The admission form should be duly filled out in its entirety and must be accompanied with the following supporting documents:
. Processing fee of Rs. 800/- in the form of a Demand Draft in favor of “Institute for Technology and Management”, payable at Mumbai.
. Photocopies of all mark sheets (starting with standard X)
. Photocopies of CAT/XAT/GMAT admit cards
. Attested copy of your Test Score Card. (if test score card not yet received give details of Test Registration Number, Test Centre Code, etc.)
. Photocopies of Proof of Work Experience, if any
. Medical Record Form
. Scholarship Form (if applying for scholarship)
. 6 address labels (included) with your correct mailing address
. Six passport photographs.

Selection Procedure: The Admissions Committee for the PGDM program consists of the Chairman of Admissions, The Chairman of ITM Trust and the individual Directors of each ITM PGDM Campus. There are no seat quotas for ethnic minorities and no payment category. Selection to the ITM PGDM program is based exclusively on the candidates merit and the discretion of the Admissions Committee.

Selection into the ITM PGDM program at all Campuses is conducted centrally through ITM Navi Mumbai.

National IT Aptitude Test (NITAT)



The National IT Aptitude Test (NITAT), which enables students and graduates to gauge their aptitude and potential for a career in the booming IT industry, will be conducted in 160 cities across the country on 21th February, 2010

The country's largest aptitude test is conducted by NIIT, country's largest trainer. NITAT 2010 (IT aptitude test) will be simultaneously conducted by NIIT in over 160 cities in the country on 21th February, 2010

Those desirous of taking the test should register online on or at the nearest NIIT centres.

The test will comprise of objective type test of reasoning, comprehension, data interpretation skills and behavioral traits. Every student who takes the test will receive a scorecard with their interpretation, along with his nationwide and zonal ranking. The assessment is expected to be of particular benefit to graduating engineers in deciding the careers that they should take up. The test is aimed at enabling students to gauge their aptitude for a career in the IT sector, identify skills further required, if any, and thus systematically charter their career into the IT industry.


According to an NIIT press release, special recognition certificates to toppers will be invited to attend a special placement fair at several locations across the country.

NITAT
It's a 100-minute objective-type examination specially designed by NIIT to evaluate IT aptitude


It is India's largest and most widely recognized IT Aptitude Test conducted simultaneously across 180+ cities


Over 5 lakh candidates have participated in the test over last five years


It has all round endorsement by media, industry, IDC and all prominent technology partners of NIIT such as Microsoft, Sun Microsystems, Adobe, EMC, Intel etc


The test assesses Functional abilities and Behavioral traits that make up IT aptitude which is crucial to gain a foothold in the IT industry


The test does not evaluate IT skills and does not require previous knowledge of computers
Functional abilities assessed are Numerical Ability, Logical Reasoning & Problem Solving and Verbal Ability (including English Comprehension)


Behavioral traits assessed are Result Orientation and Teamwork. They are based upon NIIT's extensive research at Centre for Research in Cognitive Systems (CRCS), and through extensive industry interactions
