The post graduate diploma in Management is a two year full time residential program with an emphasis on developing the candidates ability to translate theory into practice. It aims at promoting an inquiring & analytical mind, which proactively seeks the right knowledge, acquires the appropriate skills and promotes the right attitude to develop capabilities needed to manage enterprises in the twenty-first century.
Developing skills in leading and teamwork is an important facet of the programme. This anticipates practices in many of today’s successful organizations. The interactive skills of effective communication, conflict management, negotiation and mobilizing individuals towards common goals are the essential ingredients of effective management.
There is a strong emphasis on project work as a part of the regular courses at the Institute. While working on projects, students are required to interact with managers from the industry, on an average, a student graduating from the institute would have carried out fifteen projects, usually live, involving industry interaction.
Eligibility: Minimum three years Bachelor’s degree in any discipline recognized by the AICTE / UGC / Association of Indian Universities are eligible for the program. Candidates appearing for the final year Bachelor’s or equivalent degree examination are also eligible to apply, provided they complete all the requirements for the qualifying examination by 30th September 2010. Eligibility for SC/ST candidates will be same as specified by the AICTE.
Admission Procedure: Candidates seeking admission to KBSCMR, Khandala will have to appear in any of the mentioned test- CAT/XAT/MAT/ATMA. While applying for the mentioned test candidates have to mark KBSCMR as one of the college to which the applicant’s score should be sent.

Inclusive Media Fellowships for Journalists 2010,Delhi
Inclusive media for change, an initiative based at the CSDS, invites applications for short-term (six-week) media fellowships for print and electronic media journalists in English and Hindi for early 2010. The fellowship amount is Rs. 95,000 plus Rs 55,000 for travel and incidental expenses.
Awards: The fellowships will be awarded to newspaper/ magazine/ radio/ TV and Internet journalists/ photo-journalists on themes of multiple crises in rural India. The topics/ projects chosen must be about issues/ success stories/ positive interventions/ policy alternatives in the areas of rural livelihoods, agrarian crises, agriculture and environment, distress migration, hunger/ malnutrition, rural health, empowerment and law and justice.
Selection Procedure: The final output of the selected candidates will be in the form of stories or series of reports/ articles/ radio or TV packages/ photo features to be carried by the media platform sponsoring the candidates with due acknowledgement to the Inclusive Media Project of the CSDS. Out of the fellowship duration of six weeks, four weeks are assigned for news/ material gathering and the remaining two weeks for writing/ producing/ editing or putting together of the information gathered.
Application Procedure: The applications should include the candidate’s CV (within 3 A4 pages) along with the following:
. A project proposal not to exceed 500 words.
. A break up of 3 to 5 ideas for stories/ reports/ pictures/ packages (within 200 words)
. A brief note on travels/ boarding/ other requirements (within Rs. 55,000)
. Two samples of published work in English or Hindi.
. A supporting letter from the editor assuring leave for 4 weeks and agreeing to use the output.
. (Free lancers must procure a letter from an editor agreeing to use the fellowship utput)
. A letter of recommendation about the candidate’s past record and suitability for the project.
Rules:
. The verdict of the fellowship jury will be final.
. All payments will be subject to TDS rules.
. The Inclusive media project will suspend or withdraw the grant/ advance payment if the fellow fails to complete the project and publish its outcome. The candidates are strongly advised to read the rules carefully before applying and not to wait for the last date.

IITM Summer Fellowship Programme 2010
The IITM – Summer Fellowship Programme of two months with stipend is designed to enhance awareness and interest in high quality academic research among young Engineering, Management, Sciences and Humanities students through a goal oriented summer miniproject undertaken at the Indian Institute of Technology Madras.
Eligibility: Candidates pursuing third year of B.E./B.Tech./B.Sc.\(Engg) /Integrated M.E./M.Tech. programme, first year of ME/M.Tech/M.Sc./M.A, MBA with outstanding academic background in terms of high ranks in university examinations, papers presented at seminars, projects executed, design contests participated, score/rank in Mathematics Olympiad and any other awards/distinctions obtained, are encouraged to apply.
Period of the Project: The contact period for the project will be two months normally during 17 th May – 16 th July 2010. However depending on the convenience, the selected candidates can undertake the project at any time subject to the availability of faculty.
