Applications are invited in the prescribed form for admission to MBBS Course commencing on 1st August, 2010. Entrance Examination will be held on 01.06.2010 (Tuseday). Application forms, complete in all respects, must reach AIIMS, New Delhi latest by 5.00 P.M. on 25.03.2010.
AIIMS 2010 MBBS ADMISSION ELIGIBILITY
Eligibility Criteria: (i) Candidates who have passed 12th class examination under 10+2 system or an equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English securing a minimum of 60% marks (50% in case of Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe
candidates) aggregate in Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English or whose results of Class-XII are likely to be declared by 7th July, 2010 are eligible to apply. (ii) The candidate should have attained the age of 17 (seventeen) years as on 31st December, 2010.

The Bank Draft should be valid up to July/August 2010. The name of the course applied for must be written on reverse of the Demand Draft alongwith candidate’s name. Eligibility to appear in SEE-UPTU – 2010
1. For admission to first year to B.Tech/B.Pharm/BHMCT/BFAD candidate must have passed intermediate examination of U.P. Board or 10+2 level examination or its equivalent from any recognized board/university as given in information brochure of SEE-UPTU 2010. The candidate is essentially required to pass in each subject of the qualifying subject group.
2. For admission to first year of B.Arch., a candidate must have passed intermediate examination of U.P. board or 10+2 level examination or its equivalent from any recognized board/university; securing minimum 50% marks in aggregate in compulsory and optional subject as given in information brochure of SEE-UPTo 2010. The candidate is essentially required to pass in each subject of the qualifying subject group.
A candidate possession three year diploma in Architecture (10+3) recognized by central/state govt. is also eligible for admission to first year of B.Arch only, provided the candidate has passed the Diploma examination securing minimum 50% marks in aggregate. Such candidates will have to appear in the entrance examination for first year of B.Arch papers (paper 2 &6) as mentioned above
3. For admission to first year of MBA, candidate must have passed three years degree course from any recognized university
4. For admission to first year of MCA, candidate must have passed three year degree course from any recognized university with Mathematics at 10+2 level or at bachelor degree level.
5. For admission to second year (lateral entry) of B.Tech the candidate must have passed three years Diploma in engineering course; securing minimum 60% marks in aggregate or three years B.Sc degree with mathematics as one subject; securing minimum 60% marks in aggregate as per details provided in the brochure
6. For admission to second year (lateral entry) of B.Pharm the candidate must have passed Diploma in Pharmacy course; securing minimum 60% marks in aggregate
7. The candidates appearing in the qualifying examination are also eligible to appear in state entrance examination-2010 subject to the condition that they must fulfill the eligibility criteria at the time of counseling
8. The details of admissions for NRI and Kashmiri migrants will be published later, in the month of May, 2010 according to the norms to be laid down by the govt of UP/AICTE. Such candidates need not appear in SEE-UPTU-2010
9. State govt has permitted 10% of total sanctioned seats available in private institutions to be filled on merit by All India level candidates subject to the eligibility conditions given in the brochure through university counseling under the policy of state govt of UP
10. This admission test is open to the candidates who have passed the qualifying examination from any institution located in UP or whose parents (father or mother) are domiciles of UP and 10% seats of All India level candidates as provided in sl no. 9 above

The information brochure and OMR application form can also be obtained by post from Registrar, UP technical university, IET campus, Sitapur road, Lucknow-226021 by sending a MICR bank draft of Rs 1050/- for general/OBC and Rs 500/- for SC/ST and female candidates of all categories in favour of Finance officer, UP Technical university, Lucknow along with two self addressed stickers.
The request for supply of application form by post will not be entertained after 05.03.2010

OCCAM Summer Internship 2010 – OCCAM Mathematical Institute
The Oxford Centre for Collaborative Applied Mathematics (OCCAM) is offering internships to carry out short research projects in Oxford for a period of up to 10 weeks during the summer vacation. The bursaries are for mathematicians who are undergraduates in their middle years and those between their undergraduate degree and a Masters course, and provide an excellent opportunity to gain first hand research experience and find out whether you might be suited to a research career.
Eligibility: To apply you must be
· Registered at a recognised higher education institution;
· In the middle years of an undergraduate degree, or between an undergraduate degree and a Masters degree;
· Able to commit to undertaking a research project over the summer vacation and be based in Oxford throughout its duration.
Awards: Each internship provides a bursary of £180 per week for the duration of the project, up to £200 for research expenses associated with the project and up to £500 for travel to Oxford. Interns will be given desk space and computing access in OCCAM and will receive assistance in finding accommodation. Should candidates of sufficient calibre apply, we anticipate making 4 or 5 appointments.

The National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research (NIPER) at S.A.S Nagar (Mohali) has been created as Centre of Excellence in imparting higher education, research and development in pharmaceutical sciences and is the first Institute of its kind in country. candidates will be as per Government of India norms.
. Candidates appearing for final qualifying examinations can also apply but they must
produce final result on the day of Counselling/Interview/GD failing which their candidature shall
be rejected.
. Information Brochure containing Application form can be obtained in person or by post from the
office of the Organizing Chairperson, NIPER-JEE 2010 on submission of non refundable Bank Draft of
Rs. 1000/-(Rs.500/- for SC/ST) payable at S.A.S. Nagar (Mohali)/Chandigarh in favour of “NIPER-JEE
2010” along with two duly typed self-addressed Slips with name (10 cms X 6 cms). ndian nationals
residing abroad and foreign nationals have to remit US$100 by bank draft payable to “NIPER-JEE 2010”.
Payment by cheque/postal order will not be accepted. Candidates desirous of obtaining information
brochure by post should clearly mention the name of the programme in the application and on the top of
the envelope carrying the request letter.
. The candidates will have to make their own arrangement for travel and boarding for attending
test/GD/Interview/Counselling.
. Completed applications on the prescribed OMR form should be sent to Organising Chairperson,

Therefore, all the applicants are required to submit the application form properly tied together.
The attested copy of valid GPAT/GATE/NET score card only shall be sent with the application

. A common written test for all disciplines of the Masters programme will be held on Sunday, the
11th July, 2010 at Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Baroda, Chandigarh, Chennai, Delhi, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Kolkata, Lucknow, Madurai, Mumbai, Nagpur, Patna, Pune, Trivandrum and Varanasi. The centres may be altered if sufficient numbers of candidates do not register for a particular centre.

2.1 The minimum qualification to appear for EAMCET-2010 is
a) A pass in Intermediate Examination or appearance at 2nd year Intermediate Examination (10 + 2 pattern) conducted by the A.P. Board of Intermediate Education, with appropriate optional subjects or its equivalent thereto.
b) A pass at Diploma examination or appearance at final year Diploma Examination in Engineering conducted by the State Board of Technical Education and Training, A.P. or its equivalent thereto. Diploma candidates are eligible to apply for B.E/B.Tech/B.pharm courses only. Diploma in pharmacy are eligible to apply for Pharm-D course.
2.2 In case of such students who appear for the entrance Test, pending result of their qualifying examination, their entry shall be subject to their securing a pass in the said qualifying examination.
2.3 Candidates should belong to the State of Andhra Pradesh as defined in the A.P. Educational Institutions (regulations for admission) order 1974 and its amendments (vide G.O.P.No. 646 dt: 10-7-79 of Education (W) Department).
3. Detailed information regarding eligibility, age, and syllabi etc., is given in the “Instruction Booklet”, supplied along with the application form.
4. Requisition for the Application form:
Candidates with Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry as optional subjects in their Intermediate or its equivalent course should submit “E” category application for Engineering (B.E/B.Tech/B.Tech (Ag.Engg) /B.Tech (Dairying)/ B.Tech (FS&T) (MPC) /B.Sc (CA&BM) (MPC) and B. Pharm (MPC),Pharm-D((MPC) courses.
Candidates with Biology, Physics and Chemistry as optional subjects in their Intermediate or its equivalent course should submit “AM” category application for Agriculture (B.V.Sc., and A.H/B.Sc (Agr)/B.Sc (Hort)/B.F.Sc/B.Tech (FS&T) (Bi.P.C)/B.Sc (CA&BM) (Bi.P.C)/ Medical (MBBS/BDS/BAMS/BHMS/BNYS) and B.Pharm/ B.Tech (Bio-Technology)/Pharm-D (Bi.P.C) courses.
Eligible candidates who intend to seek admission to both the courses in 4.1 and 4.2 have to submit “E” and “AM” category applications.
Application form together with the enclosures including the “Instruction Booklet” can be had in person (not by post) on payment of Rs. 250/- in cash (this amount covers the cost of application, fee for entrance test, and towards Service charges for Post offices) AT ALL THE HEAD POST OFFICES AND ALL e-SEVA CENTRES within the state of Andhra Pradesh till 15.4.2010.
5. As per G.O.Ms.No 165 dated 06-09-2007and G.O.Ms.No 8 (Amendment to the GO.Ms. No 16) Higher Education Department, dated 27-01-2009, the candidates who have secured qualifying marks in EAMCET and candidates belonging to the category of Scheduled Caste and Schedule Tribe, for whom qualifying marks have not been prescribed, shall be assigned ranking in the order of merit on the basis of combined score obtained by giving 75% weightage to the marks secured in EAMCET and 25% weightage to the marks secured in the relevant group subjects namely Mathematics or Biology, Physics, Chemistry of the qualifying examination. However as per G.O Ms No. 181 dated 21.05.2008 of Health Medical and Family Welfare(E1) Department for admission into MBBS/BDS courses on the basis of Competitive entrance examination, a candidate for admission to those courses must have obtained not less than 50% marks in physics, Chemistry and Biology taken together both at qualifying and EAMCET examination.. In respect of candidates belonging to SC/ST/BC must have obtained not less than 40% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology taken together both at qualifying and EAMCET examination

10. The late fee and online submission application fee must be in the form of Demand Draft on any nationalized bank payable at Hyderabad, in favor of Secretary, Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education.
11. Filled in Application should be submitted to the Regional Coordinator in person as mentioned in the Instruction Booklet or to the Convener, EAMCET – 2010, SIT Building, Cellar portion, JNT University Hyderabad, Kukatpally, Hyderabad – 500 085 by Regd. Post.
12. In their own interest, candidates are advised to submit the application online or submit the filled in applications to the concerned regional co-ordinators in person only, or send it to the convener, EAMCET – 2010 by regd post well in advance, of the last date prescribed for submission of applications without late fee to avoid delays. ICET 2010 Eligibility:
The candidates should be Indian National and should satisfy local/non-local status requirements laid down in the Andhra Pradesh Educational Institutions (Regulations of Admission) Order, 1974 as amended up to date (as per G.O.Ms.No.25, date :19-03-2004 & G.O.Ms.No.108, Higher Education Department, dated 30-07-2005 and its amendments).

The candidate seeking admission into MBA course should have passed a Bachelor’s Degree Examination of not less then three years duration from any recognized University or equivalent thereof basides passing SSC or equivalent examination with Mathematics as one of the subjects.

Prescribed application form for the entrance test together with instructions booklet can be obrained in person on payment of Rs.250/- in cash at (i) all the Head Post Offices in A.P. , (ii) all the Post Offices located on the University campuses, and (iii) the e-seva centres in Andhra Pradesh.
Submission of ICET 2010 Application forms:
Duly filled-in application forms (placed in the envelope supplied) may be submitted along with relevant documents by paying postal charges through the Head Post Office to The Convener, ICET- 2010, Andhra University College of Engineering, Visakhapatnam - 530 003 (A.P.) India on or before 5th April 2010 up to 5.00 pm. The application forms may also be submitted on or before.
In the form of DD drawn on any Nationalized Bank in favour of The Secretary, APSCHE, payable at Hyderabad. In complete application forms and application forms received after the specified date and time will summarily be rejected.

Application also can be submitted online. ICET RESULTS
Qualifying Marks for ICET-2010 - The qualifying percentage of marks in the Entrance Test 25% (i.e. 50 marks out of total 200 marks). However, for candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes or Scheduled Tribes, no minimum qualifying percentage of marks is prescribed.
Ranking :Candidates will be given State-wide ranks in the order of merit at the ICET - 2010. For the preparation of merit list, in case more than one student scores the same ranks at ICET, the tie will be resolved as follows:
(i) By considering the marks scored in Section-A
(ii) If the tie persists, marks obtained by a student in Section-B will be taken into consideration.
(iii) If the tie still persists, the tie will be resolved by taking into account the age of the candidate giving the older candidate priority.
Rank obtained in ICET - 2010 is valid for admission into MBA/MCA Course (Full Time / Part Time / Evening / Distance Model of all universities in Andhra Pradesh for the academic year 2009-2010 only.
Evaluation : Every care will be taken to avoid errors in the evaluation, checking, scrutiny, tabulation and ranking. However, request for re-verification will be entertained on payment of Rs.1000/- by D.D. drawn in favour of the Convener, ICET – 2010 (payable at Visakhapatnam drawn on any Nationalized Bank), within fifteen days from the date of declaration of results. After this date no request will be entertained.
Rank card will be sent to the candidate by post. Duplicate Rank Card will be issued on payment of Rs.50/- by D.D. drawn in favour of the Convener, ICET-2010 payable at Visakhapatnam drawn on any Nationalized Bank.

Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research, Puducherry (JIPMER), Pondicherry invites applications for Entrance Examination for Admission to M.B.B.S. Course for the session starting July 2010
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR ADMISSION TO MBBS COURSE AT JIPMER:
(i) The Applicant should be a Resident Indian National.
(ii) The Applicant should have studied and completed their course in the schools located in India in the preceding two years (except for those admitted against the seats reserved for foreign students nominated by the Government of India).
(iii) He/She has completed age of 17 years at the time of admission or will complete the age on or before 31st December 2010, the year of his/her admission to the 1st year M.B.B.S., i.e. they should have been born on or before 01-01-1994, and is an INDIAN NATIONAL.
(This criterion will be applicable also to candidates nominated by the Government of India. Request for relaxation from the prescribed age limit will not be considered for any category of applicants).
(iv) The applicants should have passed the qualifying examinations in the manner mentioned below:
(a) The Higher / Senior Secondary Examination or the Indian School Certificate Examination which is equivalent to 10+2 Higher / Senior Secondary Examination after a period of 12 years study, the last two years of such study comprising Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Botony and Zoology (which shall include practical tests in these subjects) and with English at a level not less than the core course for English as prescribed by the National Council of Educational Research and Training after introduction of the 10+2+3 educational structure as recommended by the National Committee on Education and
(b) The applicant must have passed in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Biology / Botany & Zoology and English individually and must have obtained a minimum of 50% marks taken together in Physics, Chemistry, Biology / Botany & Zoology at the qualifying examination. For Scheduled Caste / Scheduled Tribe/OBC candidates, the minimum marks in the qualifying examination will be 40%.

(c) The Candidates who have passed the qualifying examination other than those mentioned, will have to submit an Eligibility Certificate from the JIPMER before admission is finalised. Obtaining such an Eligibility Certificate from the JIPMER is essential to foreign nationals nominated by the Central Government for admission to JIPMER M.B.B.S. Course.

THE APPLICATION PROCEDURE - HOW TO OBTAIN? :
(i) The Prospectus with the Application Forms can be obtained against only cash payment of Rs.850/- for Unreserved/Other Backward Classes Category (UR/OBC/P-UR/ P-OBC)) and Rs.500/- for Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe Category (SC/ST/P-SC) from State Bank of India, JIPMER Campus, Pondicherry-605006 on all working days up to 15th April, 2010, Thursday. This includes cost of Prospectus as well as Non-Refundable Examination Fee. Fee once remitted shall not be refunded under any circumstances.
State Bank of India, JIPMER Campus at JIPMER is the only branch where the applications are sold against cash payment. The bank timings when the applications will be available are 10.00 am to 04.00 pm on all working days (Monday to Friday) and from 10.00 am to 12.00 noon on Saturdays. No request for issue will be entertained after these stipulated hours.
THE STATE BANK OF INDIA WILL NOT SEND THE PROSPECTUS BY POST; HENCE NO REQUEST SHOULD BE MADE TO THE BANK FOR SENDING THE SAME BY POST.
(ii) The Prospectus and Application Forms can also be had from Professor (Academic), JIPMER, Puducherry - 605 006 up to 8th April, 2010 through Postal requests, accompanied by a M.I.C.R. Bank Draft of Rs.850/- (Unreserved/OBC) and Rs.500/- (SC/ST) drawn in favour of "Accounts Officer, JIPMER" payable at any Nationalized Banks in Pondicherry/Union Territory of Puducherry. 13 cm x 7 cm self addressed label must accompany the postal request for correct delivery of the Application Forms.
Those candidates who are applying in the Off-line application forms obtained from this Institute through post or in person from State Bank of India in JIPMER have to send the filled-in application form along with the acknowledgement card kept in the envelope with their address duly filled. The application number should be written at the top in the copy of OBC/SC/ST and Medical Certificate.
(iii) On-line Applications: JIPMER MBBS 2010 application can be submitted by On-Line process (Internet based) by accessing the Website: www.jipmer.edu.in link from 25-02-2010 to 08-04- 2010.
The candidate should first pay the non-refundable application fee of Rs.850/- (Unreserved/ OBC) and Rs.500/- (SC/ST) by obtaining a Demand Draft as mentioned above. The draft details are required while filling up on-line form. Candidates are required to take a print of single on-line application form after successful submission of data. The printed Form with the requisite signatures, photograph, attestations, left thumb print of the applicant and the demand draft must be sent by speed post so as to reach the Professor (Academic), JIPMER, Puducherry - 605 006 by 15th April,
2010. Attested copies of OBC/SC/ST certificates, Medical Certificate in support of disability must be enclosed with the Application Form wherever applicable. Failure to enclose these certificates will render the completed applications (both off-line and on-line) ineligible for Entrance
Examination.
APPLICABLE TO ON-LINE APPLICANTS ONLY:
On-Line applicants are advised to check the DD number, date, authority's valid signature drawee's branch with code number and whether it is MICR compatible. If the draft is found defective in any manner, hall ticket for Entrance Examination will not be sent and the draft will not be refunded. Please mention the application number on the reverse of the demand draft.
