PG Diploma in Management Admission 2010

Post Graduate Diploma in Management is a two-years full time Program approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), Ministry of HRD, Govt. of India. IMS has been awarded accreditation by the National Board of Accreditation (NBA) as well as the programme has been accredited equivalent to MBA Degree by Association of Indian Universities (AIU).

Eligibility: An applicant should have a minimum of three-year Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent with 50% marks in any discipline recognized by the Association of Indian Universities / AICTE. Candidates appearing for the final examination for the Bachelor’s Degree can also apply, subject to furnishing evidence to that effect latest by 30th October 2010.

Duration: The course is of two years duration.
Selection Procedure: Applicants for PGDM program must have CAT/MAT/GMAT or ATMA or any other national level score to Apply. After applying shortlisting will be done on the basis of academics and CAT/MAT/ATMA/GMAT score. Only the shortlisted candidates will be called for the GD/PI session.

Admission Procedure: A candidate has to apply for admission to IMS Ghaziabad on the application form enclosed with the prospectus along with duly attested copies of the following.
Attested copy of CAT/GMAT score
Certificate and Mark Sheet of qualifying Examination passed
Relevant certificate to verify date of birth.

The prospectus and the application form for the programme can be obtained from IMS Ghaziabad counter against the payment of Rs. 1100 towards the fee for evaluation and processing of the application form. Candidates may request for the application form, by post on payment of Rs. 1150 or can download the application form by visiting IMS web site http://www.ims-ghaziabad.ac.in and by sending a demand draft for Rs. 1100. in favour of IMS Ghaziabad payable at Delhi.

Admission Procedure: Based on the facts furnished in the application, a screening will be performed and selected candidates will be asked to appear for a competitive entrance process that includes written and programming tests and interview. Written test may be objective or short subjective. Questions will be from Data Structures, Algorithms, Discrete Maths, Theory of Computation, and Probability Theory. in the programming test, candidates will be asked to write and execute a program in one of three languages (C, C++, JAVA). Education Common Entrance Test (Ed.CET-2010)for B.Ed. Admissions in Andhra Pradesh

Eligibility for Ed.CET-2010: The candidates should fulfil the following eligibility criteria

(a) The candidates should have passed B.A./B.Sc./B.Com./B.Sc.(Home Science)/B.C.A./B.B.M. examination from any University in Andhra Pradesh or a recognized University out side Andhra Pradesh.

(b) The candidates who are appearing for final degree examinations of 2010 are also eligible to appear for entrance examination.

(c) Candidates should have secured 50% marks either in the Bachelors Degree i.e. B.A./B.Sc/B.Com (Home Science)/BCA/BBM and/or in the Masters Degree or any other qualification equivalent thereto. After submission a registered number for future reference is generated.

Amrita Entrance Examination – Medical 2010 (AEEM 2010)

Association of Managements of Unaided Private Medical and Dental Colleges in the state of Maharashtra (AMUPMDC), announces Common Entrance Test (Asso-CET 2010) which will be held on Sunday 30th May 2010 between 2 pm to 5 pm for the academic year 2010-2011 for admission to MBBS, BDS, BAMS, BPTh, BOTh & B.Sc-Nursing courses in the State of Maharashtra.

ELIGIBILITY
A candidate will be eligible for admission to Health Science Courses i.e. MBBS, BDS, BAMS, BPTh, BOTh, BSc-Nursing for the academic year 2010–11 on fulfillment of the following conditions:

For Admissions to MBBS, BDS, B.Sc Nursing the candidate must be born on or before 31ST December 1993 to be eligible to appear for Asso-CET 2010. For admissions to BAMS candidate must be born on or before 1st October 1993. The Secondary School Certificate (i.e. SSC) or equivalent examination certificate or the certificates of age and nationality endorsing the date of birth will constitute the valid proof.

Eligibility Criteria for qualifying Examination for various courses:-

For MBBS, BDS and BAMS :
A candidate belonging to open category must have obtained not less than 50% Marks in Physics, Chemistry & Biology subject taken together at the HSC (or Equivalent) Examination. A Candidates belonging to Reserved Category must have obtained not less than 40% Marks Physics, Chemistry & Biology subject taken together at the HSC (or Equivalent) Examination.

For B. Sc (Nursing):-
A candidate belonging to open category must have obtained not less than 45% Marks in Physics, Chemistry, Biology & English subject taken together at the HSC (or Equivalent) Examination. A Candidates belonging to Reserved Category must have obtained not less than 40% Marks Physics, Chemistry, Biology & English subject taken together at the HSC (or Equivalent) Examination.

For BPTh, BOTh rule no. 5.5.1, 5.5.2 and 5.5.3 is not applicable to this course, passing at Std. XII or HSC or equivalent examination is necessary.


The candidate may be an Indian National / NRI / Foreign National. The candidate is required to produce proof in support of his/her Nationality from a District Magistrate, Additional Magistrate or Metropolitan Magistrate. School Leaving certificate of HSC/12th Std indicating the nationality of the candidate as Indian or Valid Passport also shall be considered as sufficient proof of Nationality.

APPLICATION PROCEDURE:

Application forms and information brochure for Asso-CET 2010 for admission to 1st year MBBS, BDS, BAMS, BPTh, BOTh and BSc-Nursing courses will be available at Private Medical and Dental Colleges and other notified centers to 10th April 2010 on payment of Rs. 500/- by DD.

Application forms will also be available from AMUPMDC office by post with an additional DD of Rs. 100/- for postal charges.

Application Forms will also be available from selected centres of Punjab National Bank on Paymant of Rs 500/- in Cash.

The Application Form must be filled by the candidate in his/her own handwriting using black ballpoint pen. The application form complete in all respect shall be submitted directly to the office of AMUPMDC, Mumbai either by Post/Courier or in person. The filled-in Application Form is to be duly returned in the Envelope provided with the Application Form along with DD drawn in favour of "AMUPMDC" payable at "Mumbai" for Rs. 1,500/- (Rs One Thousand Five Hundred only) Asso-CET 2010 Examination Fee. The last date for submission of filled-in Application Forms along with DD of Rs. 1500/- is 10th April 2010.

The last date for submission of filled-in Application Forms with late fee of Rs. 500/- and along with DD of Rs. 1500/- for examination fee is 20th April 2010.

All DD's are to be drawn in favour of "AMUPMDC" and payable at Mumbai.

Examination Asso CET 2010

No rounding off of the marks secured by the candidate will be done in individual subject or final total while converting marks of the individual subject out of 100 or total marks out of 300. For example, if the total of the marks in three subjects comes to 149 out of 300, percentage comes to 49.66 that will not qualify the candidate.

The candidates who are appearing for the qualifying examination i.e. HSC or equivalent in March/April–2010 are also eligible to appear for Asso-CET 2010, provided they must fulfill the eligibility conditions.

The eligibility conditions may vary in accordance with Judicial Pronouncements and orders issued by appropriate Authorities from time to time.

Africa LLM/MSc Tercentenary Scholarships 2010/2011 – The University of Edinburgh


Edinburgh Law School is delighted to announce the launch of the Africa LLM/MSc Tercentenary Scholarship, a new series of scholarships for African students applying for the LLM in Law, the LLMs in Commercial, European, Innovation or International Law, or the MSc in Criminology and Criminal Justice. One scholarship will be available each academic year until 2013/2014.

Eligibility: The award is open to all suitably qualified African applicants; however, the 2010/2011 scholarship is particularly aimed at applicants who are citizens of (and normally resident in) Angola, Mozambique, South Africa and Zimbabwe. If no suitable application is received from these countries, the scholarship will pass to the next most suitable applicant. The award will be made solely on academic merit.
The scholarship will cover the costs of postgraduate tuition fees for one academic year. The successful applicant will also be given a partial maintenance grant to help fund their studies at the University of Edinburgh.

How to Apply: The closing date for the receipt of applications for 2010-2011 will be 31 May 2010. Applicants must send an email to pg.law@ed.ac.uk indicating that they wish to apply for the scholarship. Applications for postgraduate programmes must be made in parallel through the normal University application route.

The One-World-Scholarship 2010 – Afro Asian Institute Graz


The One-World-Scholarship-Programme is directed at students from developing countries at Austrian Universities and is meant to contribute to the peaceful coexistence of people from different countries of origin by enhancing equal opportunities, dialogue, intercultural know-how and partnership. It has been established within the Austrian Cooperation for Education, and together with the other programmes it supports their concerns (struggle against poverty, resource conservation, peace-keeping etc.), the establishment and expansion of accordingly qualified personnel and the advancement of educational- and economic systems (capacity and institution development) with lasting effects.

It is complementary to other scholarship programmes and laid out globally, it enhances the ability for independent, creative, critical and self-determined thinking and acting and shall strengthen the competence for innovative problem solving strategies. The OWS contributes to the socially required production of knowledge and awareness, it promotes a global perspective and the creation of the globally educated citizen. It attaches a high significance to regional, international and trans-cultural networks. The programme is co-financed (government, church and private funds and own resources of the recipients of the benefits) and significantly contributes to the economic, social and cultural development of the southern countries.

Organisation:
* Most important scholarship within the AAI Graz.
* Coordinated by the One-World-Scholarship-Team of the contact committee for third world scholarships (study counsellors of the AAI, the LAI, the ÖAD, the ÖOG).
* Co-Financed by the Austrian Development Cooperation and the Catholic Womens Movement.
* Administrated by ADA (Austrian Development Agency).

Benefits: In addition to the scholarships, the AAI will also hand out general benefits (e.g. for learning aids, visa fees) and allowances for the costs of the university preparation programme to students in need from southern countries.

As the demand for financial support has been constantly growing and as we increasingly have to rely on private funding, we would like to ask you for a contribution to our benefit funds for students from foreign countries.
