Campus Based Regular MBA Admission 2010

The objectives of this programme are as under :
* To practice the participants to handle and lead in an increasingly integrated business situation that rises above national borders.
* The program is challenging, the curriculum is rigorous and the selection Procedure is highly competitive. As a result EDI seeks candidates whose abilities, skills and personality indicate strong potential for success in the future.
* To develop conceptual and analytical skills and in depth understanding of functional areas to gain practical business experience.

Eligibility: The candidate applying at EDIB must hold a Bachelor’s Degree, with at least 50% marks or equivalents CGPA in any discipline of any of the universities incorporated by an Act of the central or state legislature in India or other educational institutions established by an Act of Parliament or declared to be deemed as a university under section 3 of UGC Act, 1956, or posses an equivalent qualification obtained by the Ministry of HRD, Government of India. The Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent qualification obtained by the candidate must entail a minimum of three years of education after completing higher secondary schooling (10+2) or equivalent.
In case of the candidates being awarded Grades/CGPA instead of marks, the equivalence would be based on the equivalence certified by the university/ institution from where they have obtained bachelor’s degree. In case the university/ institution does not have any scheme for diving obtained CGPA into equivalent marks, the equivalence would be established by EDIB by diving obtained CGPA with the maximum possible CGPA and multiplying the resultant with 100. Candidates appearing for the final examination for the bachelor’s degree (or equivalent examination) can also apply, subject to furnishing evidence to that effect latest by 15th October, 2010; or else they may be asked to withdraw from the program.

Selection Procedure: The prospective students will be short listed on the basis of scores of MAT/CAT/XAT/ATMA/FAT, with sectional cut off and thereafter situational Group Discussions (GD), Personal Interview (PI), and presentation on any asked topic. Those who are not having any of the above score they have to appear for Fundamental aptitude Test(FAT) that will be conducted at the ailed centers and at our own corporate office. Final Selection is on the basis of MAT/CAT/XAT/ATMA/E-FAT Score, Performance in the GD/PI/Presentation, Academic Performance & Work experience etc.

The curriculum has been designed to develop student’s cognitive ability in latest management concepts, managerial skills, and critical analytical ability. The course development is a dynamic process and reviewed regularly every year. We have also made provision for dual specialization (as Major and Minor) to increase their job prospects.

Eligibility:
1. The minimum qualification for the PGDM is Bachelor’s degree in any discipline (in 10+2+3 pattern) from any University in India or overseas recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC). Minimum Marks : 50%. Candidates appearing / appeared for the qualifying degree will also be considered for admission provisionally subject to their production of degree/ certificate by November. Preference will be given to BBA, BCA, B.Com., BA (Eco.) and Engineering Students.

2. MAT Score- 450.

3. CAT Score- 40% and above.

Selection Procedure:

Bachelor of Law Admission 2010

Faculty of Law offers the 3-year full-time LL.B Program.

Eligibility: Students who pass with 50% and above in graduation or its equivalent (any discipline, awaiting examination results) are eligible for admission into the law program. Admissions are based on the IcfaiUniversity Law Admission Test (ILAT) conducted all over India. In addition scores of Law School Admission Test (LSAT, India conducted by Pearson, VUE) will also be accepted. Applicant should not be more than 30 years of age as on the date of admission test.

Program Structure: The curriculum is most contemporary and innovatively designed and developed in association with international academicians and experts. The unique nature of the program is planned in a semester mode. There will be six semesters for the program spread over three years. Every semester will be of 18 weeks in which 2 weeks are allotted for conducting mid-semesters and end-semester tests.
Admission Procedure: Admission into the Law Programs is through ILAT 2010 conducted by Faculty of Law, Dehradun. ILAT 2010 is scheduled on July 04, 2010 (Sunday) from 10.00 AM to 1.00 PM at 35 test centers all over India. Applicants are required to report at 9.00 AM at the test center on the day of ILAT 2010.

The Admission Test is based on objective type questions in multiple choice format. The answers have to be given in the specially designed OMR answer sheet, which will be provided at the time of admission test. There will be 150 questions in all, divided into five sections of 30 marks each. These sections are English Language, General Knowledge, Legal Aptitude, Numerical Ability and Reasoning as per the sample test for students seeking admission into the BBA, LL.B (Hons.)

Admission Fee: The admission fee of Rs.5,000 is payable on or before July 31, 2010 (5 PM) to Faculty of Law, Dehradun. The admission fee is not refundable.

Program Fee: 3 year LL.B Program (6 semesters): The program fee is Rs. 30,000 per semester. Students should pay the fee at the beginning of each semester, as per the due dates which will be indicated in the Student Handbook. The first semester fee is to be paid on July 31, 2010.
