The first three semesters provide the basics of the finance function along with other functional areas of management. Advanced inputs of Finance are provided in fourth & fifth semester. In last semester the students get an opportunity to apply their knowledge in solving the real world problems faced by the industry.
Objectives: To educate & develop necessary competence & skills in the effective management of business finance, with some of the latest techniques, methods, procedures and the latest financial innovations.

Eligibility: Graduation in any discipline from Indian or Foreign recognized university with minimum of 50% marks. Candidates appearing in the final year Bachelor’s examination are eligible to apply. Such Candidates, if selected ,will be given provisional admission subject to their clearing graduation. The certification of the same has to be submitted before 1st Semester exams.
Selection Criteria: Admission to IIF programs is very rigorous. The admission to distance learning program (DLP) is based on calculation of Grade Point Score (GPS). The Grades are given on the basis of candidates’ past academic records, other achievements, work experience, professional growth positioning and personal interview for all category of candidates.
IIF follows a policy to admit some fresh graduates and also women candidates, even if their comparative GPS is relatively low but above the minimum cut off point. The admission policy of the Institute takes into consideration a candidate’s total background. Admission is strictly on merit. Convassing in any form would disqualify a candidate for admission.
Program Module : The first two semesters are designed to provide the basics of the finance function along with the other functional areas of management. At the end of the first year the students are advised to undergo Summer/ Experiential training in industrial, business organizations and international agencies. The objective is basically to provide the students with real life exposure which they cannot gain from simple study. They get the opportunity to learn beyond the text by solving business problems and decision making during the training period.
Examination Scheme :
IIF follows a unique open book examination system. The question papers are sent to the candidates by registered post. They are expected to attempt in one sitting and return the answer books within one week by registered post. However, if one is unable to send the answer papers within one week, the student may submit the answer papers in subsequent weeks. There is a graded penalty for late submission. The question papers are very comprehensive and only those who have seriously studied during the semester are able to attempt the question papers. The Institute’s unique system of examinations has been found to be more satisfactory, rigorous and beneficial than the traditional system of examinations. The course commences in the month of Aug. Advertisements for recruitment appear in the leading news papers of the country in the month of Oct/ Dec every year, both for B Sc & GNM courses. Candidates are required to submit their application forms in the prescribed format, along with other necessary documents mentioned therein.
Eligibility: The candidate must be an Indian National or a subject of Nepal or Sikkim, Age 17-25 years. 10+2 with three years Diploma in General Nursing Midwifery with minimum two years experience in the profession. Male nurses who have not done midwifery in the GNM programme must submit a Certificate of completion of a course of 6- 9 months duration approved by INC in lieu of midwifery, 10 class (Matriculation or its equivalent with three years Diploma in General· Nursing Midwifery with a minimum of five years experience in the profession.
Educational Qualification: 10 + 2, or equivalent examination of 12 years duration of a recognized University Board with Physics, Chemistry, Biology (Botany & Zoology) and English. The candidate should have not less than 50% aggregate marks in all subjects. The candidate should have passed the examination in single attempt.
Selection Procedure: Selection will be based on the merit of the candidate at an All India level. A written objective type of examination will be conducted in February/ March every year, at certain selected centres (Published from time to time.) Successful candidates will be called for an interview at selected centres in the month of April/May each year. Candidates must be declared medically fit. The fitness will be determined by a Medical Board of Military Medical Officers. Merit listed candidates based on the interview and medical fitness will be called for B. Sc. (Nsg). Selected candidates will be required to execute a bond of agreement to serve in the Military Nursing Service for a minimum period of 5 yrs as permanent commissioned officers, on successful completion of the course.

Selection Procedure: The prospective students will be short listed on the basis of scores of MAT/CAT/XAT/ATMA/FAT, with sectional cut off and thereafter situational Group Discussions (GD), Personal Interview (PI), and presentation on any asked topic. Faculty of Law offers the 3-year full-time LL.B Program.
Eligibility: Students who pass with 50% and above in graduation or its equivalent (any discipline, awaiting examination results) are eligible for admission into the law program. Admissions are based on the IcfaiUniversity Law Admission Test (ILAT) conducted all over India. In addition scores of Law School Admission Test (LSAT, India conducted by Pearson, VUE) will also be accepted. Applicant should not be more than 30 years of age as on the date of admission test.
Program Structure: The curriculum is most contemporary and innovatively designed and developed in association with international academicians and experts. The unique nature of the program is planned in a semester mode. There will be six semesters for the program spread over three years. Every semester will be of 18 weeks in which 2 weeks are allotted for conducting mid-semesters and end-semester tests.
Admission Procedure: Admission into the Law Programs is through ILAT 2010 conducted by Faculty of Law, Dehradun. ILAT 2010 is scheduled on July 04, 2010 (Sunday) from 10.00 AM to 1.00 PM at 35 test centers all over India. Applicants are required to report at 9.00 AM at the test center on the day of ILAT 2010.
The Admission Test is based on objective type questions in multiple choice format. The answers have to be given in the specially designed OMR answer sheet, which will be provided at the time of admission test. There will be 150 questions in all, divided into five sections of 30 marks each. These sections are English Language, General Knowledge, Legal Aptitude, Numerical Ability and Reasoning as per the sample test for students seeking admission into the BBA, LL.B (Hons.)
