ELIGIBILITY:

a.For M.Sc(Hort):
The candidate should possess a Degree in B.Sc (Horticulture)/B.Sc (Agriculture) or its equivalent qualification from a recognized Agriculture / Horticulture / Deemed University/ Institutions recognized by ICAR with a minimum CGPA of not less than 2.25/4.00 or OGPA 6.00/10.00 (For SC/ST/Cat-l mere pass is enough),

b. For Doctoral Programme:
The candidates should possess a Master Degree in M.Sc. (Hort) / M,Sc.(Agri) in Horticulture or its equivalent qualification from a recognized Agriculture / Horticulture Deemed University/ Institutions recognized by ICAR with a minimum CGPA of not less than 2.50/4.00 or OGPA of 6.50/10.00 (For SC/ST/Cat-l mere pass is enough).


APPLICATION AND PROSPECTUS:

For all the above mentioned disciplines and Degrees, only one application form has to be submitted. The blank application form and prospectus may be obtained from the Registrar's office, University of Horticultural Sciences, Sector No.60, Navanagar, Bagalkot-587102 either in person or through post by sending a Demand Draft purchased on or after the Date of this notification along with request application. Candidates seeking application through post shall send a self addressed envelope (A-4 size) affixing Rs. 30/- (Rupees Thirty only) postage stamps. The application forms shall be issued from 22.06.2011 to 21.07.2011.

OTHER INFORMATION:


• Reservation of seats are made as per the State Government roster order in force from time to time.

• Candidates from abroad including Non-resident Indians should send their application through ICAR/ Government of India. Application sent to the University directly will not be entertained. One additional seat will be allotted for Post- Graduate degree programme to Kashmiri Migrants as per regulations.

• The common written test for all the disciplines in M.Sc & Ph.D Programmes will be held at College of Horticulture, Bagalkot, Haveli Campus on 07.08.2011 at 10.30 am (Sunday) for all eligible candidates. No separate intimation will be sent for attending written Test/counseling.

• Counseling and verification of original documents for admission will be held on 08.08.2011. All selected candidates should pay the prescribed fees on the day of counseling.

• Similar conditions also apply to the deputed candidates from recognized State / Central Governments and autonomous institutions. The outside state candidates will be considered in case, seats remain vacant after accommodating candidates from Karnataka. However, 25% of seats are reserved for outside state candidates under the ICAR quota. A provision has also been made for admission of 7 candidates to M.Sc Degree Programme and 2 candidates for Ph.D Degree Programme on deputation belonging to Karnataka State Department over and above the prescribed intake.

• The first semester will commence on 22.08.2011. All selected candidates should pay fees and take admission on or before 22.08.2011 and should report to the respective colleges and register for the courses.

UNIVERSITY OF OREGON – AHA INTERNATIONAL SCHOLARSHIP 2011 – USA



For 2010-11, AHA International has allocated multiple scholarships between $500-1500. Selection is based on academic merit, financial need, and a well-completed scholarship application. Scholarships are available for students participating in the following AHA programs during the terms listed: Angers, France (spring); London, England (fall, winter, spring); Macerata, Italy (fall, spring); Oviedo, Spain (spring); Siena, Italy (fall, spring); and Vienna, Austria (fall, spring semester). The UO Study Abroad Programs Scholarship Committee will make the awards.

Eligibility :
• Applicant must be enrolled as a full-time, degree-seeking undergraduate student at the UO.
• Applicant must ultimately be accepted to participate in one of the AHA programs listed above.
• Applicant must have at least a 3.00 cumulative GPA.
• Applicant must demonstrate financial need (based on FAFSA) and submit a copy of a current financial aid award letter. International students must complete a Financial Aid Worksheet, available at UO Study Abroad Programs.

ii) Passed the two-Year Diploma in Pharmacy Examination of Dibrugarh University or of any other institution which is recognized by the PCI and AICTE securing not less than 50% marks in the aggregate.
