Admission Notice 2008-2009


Applications in prescribed form are invited for admission to the following courses from the candidates belonging to the States of Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Maharashtra, Gujarat, Goa and Union Territories of Daman, Diu and Dadra & Nagar Haveli.

* B.Sc. B.Ed. 4 Years (8 Semesters)
ELIGIBILITY: a) Higher Secondary/Senior Secondary (+2) or equivalent examination having passed in 2008 with at least 45% marks in aggregate (5% relaxation for SC/ST candidates). b) in addition to (a). (i) for seeking admission in Physical Science Group, the candidate must have passed in Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics. (ii) for seeking admission in Biological Science Group, the candidate must have passed in Physics, Chemistry & Biology.

* Two Year B.Ed. (Secondary) 2 Years (4 Semesters)
ELIGIBILITY: a) At least 45% marks in B.A./B.Sc. (5% relaxation for SC/ST candidates). b) the candidate possessing B.Sc. degree must have offered at least two of the following subjects at graduation level: Physics, Chemistry, Botany, Zoology & Mathematics. OR The candidate possessing B.A. degree should have offered at least the following subjects at graduation level: (i) any one literature from Hindi, English, Gujarati, Marathi & Urdu and (ii) any one from History, Economics, Geography & Political Science. However, candidates who have passed 'Gujarati' language at any stage of graduation, are also eligible to apply.

* M.Ed. 1 Year (RIE) (2 Semesters)
ELIGIBILITY: a) At least 50% marks in both theory and practical separately in B.Ed., or in the Education part of 4 Year B.A.,B.Ed./B.Sc.B.Ed. b) At least 50% marks in post-graduate degree in Science/Humanities/Social Sciences.
TUITION FEE AND SCHOLARSHIP
A tuition fee of Rs.3000/- (Rupees Three Thousand only) per annum shall be charged from each admitted student (except SC/ST students) payable in two equal installments of Rs.1500/- each at the time of admission and in the first week of January of the session. The tuition fee is non- refundable and will be charged each year of the course of the study (the tuition fee excludes hostel fees and other annual charges). All admitted SC/ST candidates will be given scholarship. The scholarship will be given as per NCERT Rules.
RESERVATION
In each course 15% Seats for SC, 7.5% for ST and 3% for Physically Handicapped (with 40% or above disability) candidates are reserved.
HOW TO APPLY
The application form can be downloaded from the website www.riebhopal.ac.in. Filled up form along with a fee of Rs.50/- (Rs.5/- in case of SC/ST candidates) in the form of Demand Draft in favour of Principal, Regional Institute of Education, Bhopal drawn on SBI, RCE Branch, Code No.-2889 Bhopal or IPO payable at Central T.T.Nagar Post Office, Bhopal should be submitted to Principal, Regional Institute of Education, Shymala Hills, Bhopal –462013 on or before 20 June 2008 by 5.00 p.m, Application forms can also be obtained by sending a SELF ADDRESSED 23x10 cm. size STAMPED ENVELOPE worth Rs.25/- along with a fee of Rs.50/- (Rs.5/- in case of SC/ST candidate) in the form of IPO/Demand Draft as mentioned earlier. The candidate must write, “Admission for 2008-2009” at the left hand top corner of the envelope. Applications for admission on forms supplied by the Institute need not send the fee again. Application form can also be obtained on any working day ( Monday to Friday ) from the Academic Section of the Institute on production of required IPO/DD. Application complete in all respects should reach on or before 20 June 2008 by 5.00 p.m. Incomplete applications will summarily be rejected. No correspondence would be done in this regard. ELIGIBILITY: Graduates and/or Post-graduate Degree from any discipline or P.G. Diploma in Tourism and Hotel Management recognized by Jai Narain Vyas University. Jodhpur with minimum 50% marks will be eligible for admission to M.T.A. For admission to P.G.D.T.H.M. the applicant must have secured minimum 48% marks at the graduate and/or Postgraduate Degree Examination. For S.C. and S.T. candidates relaxation of 5% marks in both the courses are admissible. Candidates appearing at 2008 qualifying examination may also apply to be provisionally allowed to take the Entrance Test but shall be eligible for Group Discussion and Interview only on production of the proof of eligibility.


ENTRANCE TEST: The Entrance Test for both courses will be held at Jodhpur as per scheduled to be notified in the call letters.

It can be obtained form the office of the undersigned on payment of Rs.250/- by Bank Demand Draft upto 30-06-2008 or by Registered post by remitting only upto 20-06-2008.
