Eligibility:

Teachers serving in recognized schools with a minimum of two years school teaching experience.

(Experience should be in Nursery/Primary/Secondary/Higher secondary/Matriculation schools in Tamil nadu recognized by the state or central government.)

Educational Qualification: Any Degree from any recognized University.

Selection will be done on the basis of the performance in the entrance test conducted for this purpose and as per Tamilnadu state government communal Reservation Norms.

Prospectus and application from can be obtained in person by payment of Rs.500/- in the form of a DD drawn in favour of “Director, DDE, MKU payable at Madurai” and by post by sending a DD of Rs.550/- with a self addressed envelope (cash Payment will not be accepted). The Bremen International Graduate School of Social Sciences (BIGSSS) invites applications to its Ph.D. and Post-doc program. BIGSSS is an inter-university institute of the University of Bremen (UB) and Jacobs University. The program is funded by the German Excellence Initiative. The program provides close supervision of dissertation work within a demand-tailored education and research framework. BIGSSS is part of an international network of highly acknowledged graduate programs. It supports its Ph.D. and Post-doc Fellows in achieving early scientific independence, providing funds for conducting, presenting and publishing their research. The language of instruction is English.


Successful applicants for the Ph.D. and Post-doc Fellowships
will pursue a topic in one of BIGSSS’ five Thematic Fields:
- Global Integration
- Integration and Diversity in the New Europe
- Social Integration and the Welfare State
- Attitude Formation, Value Change, and Intercultural Communication
- Life-Course and Lifespan Dynamics.


20 Ph.D. Stipends/Fellowships
BIGSSS seeks candidates with strong academic abilities and a Master’s degree (or equivalent) in political science, sociology, psychology, law, economics or other social science disciplines. We offer Ph.D. stipends of $ 1250/month for 36 months, contingent on successful completion of each year.

6 - 8 Post-doc Stipends/Fellowships
They seek candidates pursuing English-language publication projects either from their dissertation (by making findings available to an international audience through a book or journal article) or from a new project. Post-doc stipends of $1750/month may run from 6 to 24 months. The competition is open to candidates who have received a doctorate in political science, sociology, psychology, law, economics or other social science disciplines within the last 3 years, or who can be expected to finish prior to commencing their post-doc stay.
