Application Procedure : Prescribed Application Form for the GATE qualified candidates together with instructions booklet can be obtained in person though DD drawn on Nationalized Bank in favour of Secretary, APSCHE payable at Hyderabad Rs. 500/- (Rs. 225/- incase of SC/ST students) at the following centers.

Admission to Three Year LLB Course 2010 at Government Law Colleges at Thiruvananthapuram

Applications are invited for the Entrance Examination for admission to Three Year LL.B Course-2010-11 in the Government Law Colleges at Thiruvananthapuram, Ernakulam, Thrissur and Kozhikode.

Eligibility : Applicant should be a Graduate in any faculty of any University in Kerala or of any other Universities, recognized by any of the Universities in Kerala as equivalent thereto, with a minimum of 40% marks in aggregate (for all parts of the Degree examination taken together). Candidates seeking admission under SC/ST category should have passed the qualifying examination with 35% marks. Candidates who are appearing /have appeared for the qualifying examination (regular) this year are also eligible to apply for the Entrance Examination subject to the condition that they should produce the original Mark lists of all parts and Provisional Degree/Degree certificate of the qualifying examination at the time of Centralized Allotment Process.

Age: There is no upper age limit for admission to the 3 year LL.B Course.
Nativity: Applicant should be an Indian citizen of Kerala Origin.

Entrance Examination: The Entrance Examination will be conducted at Thiruvananthapuram, Ernakulam, Thrissur and Kozhikkode on 14-08-2010 (Saturday). It will be of 3 hours duration and will consist of 200 Multiple Choice Questions. The Questions will cover General Knowledge, English and Aptitude for Legal Studies.

Application Procedure : Last date and time for receipt of filled-in application forms Completed applications with all the documents should be forwarded to the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations, Housing Board Buildings, 5th Floor, Santhinagar, Thiruvananthapuram – 695 001 either by Registered post or by hand delivery so as to reach him before 5 pm on 24.07.2010. Late applications will not be accepted. The Commissioner for Entrance Examinations will not be responsible for any postal delay. Incomplete, defective and wrongly addressed applications will be summarily rejected and no correspondence will be undertaken in this regard.

Application Fee: For General candidates, the application fee is Rs.600/- (Rupees Six Hundred Only) and for SC/ST Candidates the application fee is Rs.300/- (Rupees Three Hundred Only).Keralites residing inside Kerala State, can remit the Application fee in any branch of the State bank of Travancore using the Challan provided on page No.7 of the application form. The original Challan contained in page No.7 shall be attached with the application form duly signed and authorized by Bank authorities on remittance of application fees. Keralites residing outside Kerala State, can remit the application fee by attaching a Demand Draft for the requisite amount drawn on a Nationalized Bank in favour of the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations, payable at Thiruvananthapuram.

Essential Qualifications : Candidates desirous of applying for Ph.D. in Law shall have a ML. Degree Course / LL.M. with 55% marks or its equivalent grade from any recognized University.

Candidates who have completed their Master's Degree in Law prior to the year 1991 should have atleast a minimum of 50% of marks.

In case of SC / ST and PWD candidates 5% concession in marks is given as per the regulations of the Government and UGC.

Mode of Selection :

Selection will be based on the marks secured in the written test followed by interview to be conducted by the University. State Government rules relating to reservation shall apply. The Date of written test is 17 July, 2010.
