(i) MBA - 2 Years Programme:
Eligibility: Admission to MBA will be open to candidates who obtain at least 60% marks in aggregate or 6.0 CGPA in an equivalent grade from recognized university.

Qualifying Examination is as under: BE/B Tech degree in any discipline OR MSc/MA in Mathematics / Statistics / Computer Science / Electronics / Physics / Operations Research / Information Science / Information Technology or MCA.

(ii) MBA - 3 Years, including 1 Year Bridge Programme:
Eligibility: Admission to one year Bridge Programme for MBA will be open to candidates who obtain at least 60% marks in aggregate or 6.0 CGPA in equivalent grade in the qualifying examination from a recognized university.

Qualifying Examination is as under: Recognized Bachelor's Degree in Science of minimum 3 years duration in any discipline with Mathematics / Statistics as one of the subjects.

The candidates who are in the final year of their study (qualifying exam) can also apply for any or all the MBA programmes. However, such candidates are required to submit proof of passing their qualifying exam on or before 31 July, 2012.

Women Scientist Scholarship Scheme 2012

A scheme of Government of India for the women scientists, “Women Scientists Scholarship Scheme (WOS-C)” is being operated by the Department of Science & Technology (DST). The scheme aims to train women having qualifications in science / engineering / medicine or allied areas in the field of intellectual property rights (IPR) and their management for a period of one year.

Government is interested in retaining the scientific talent of Indian women seeking scientific pursuits and keen to encourage women to work from their homes and enabling them to draw a good balance between professional and domestic demands. The scheme is being coordinated and implemented by Patent Facilitating Centre (PFC) of Technology Information, Forecasting and Assessment Council (TIFAC) on behalf of DST.

The selection of the candidates is done by an all India level written test followed by a rigorous interview. Selected candidates will be given stipend for one year. Training will includes one month of an intensive orientation programme on IPR followed by specialized workshops and hands-on-training in agencies engaged in IPR protection and management.

The written test will be conducted in four cities namely, Delhi, Chennai, Kharagpur and Pune under the supervision of PFC and respective coordination centres. Similarly, interview of successful candidates in the written test will be held at these centres.

Eligibility: Essential - A candidate should be: 1.An Indian citizen.

2.Master of Science in physical sciences, chemical sciences, life sciences or allied areas; or Bachelors or Masters degree holder in engineering, medicine, pharmaceutical science, veterinary science or allied areas or doctorate in any of the above areas. Candidates with higher qualifications are welcome to apply.

3.Familiar with handling of computerized databases, surfing the net and information searches.

4. A candidate should not be more than 50 years of age on the date of advertisement in the Employment News on October 31, 2010.

Desirable: Experience in research, preparation of project reports, term papers and similar activities.

Eligibility: a. Post-Graduate degree or equivalent in any discipline (including M.A, M.Sc., M.Com, MBA, MCA, M.Tech., etc) with at least 55% marks or equivalent CGPA.

b. Professional qualifications of CA, ICWA and CS with at least 50% marks or equivalent.

c. Professional qualifications such as MBBS and LLB with at least 55% marks or equivalent CGPA*

d. Engineering degrees, viz., B.Tech., BE, etc. with at least 60% marks or equivalent CGPA*

Financial support: Very attractive fellowship stipend of up to Rs 18,000/- p.m. waiver of most fees, contingency grant of Rs 1,20,000/- over four years, support for international and national conferences and international exchange programme

Those appearing for the final exams can also apply; but, their final selection will be subject to successful completion of the requirement by June 30, 2012. Their admission will be provisional till they produce the required certificates of qualification before December 2012.

All relevant qualifications mentioned above must be granted by appropriate bodies in India or abroad and recognized as equivalent.

Qualifying Examination: A candidate applying for FPM of IIMK should have a valid test score not older than two years as on January 31, 2012 from the date of application in any of the following tests.

Financial Support: Very attractive fellowship stipend of up to Rs.18,000/- pm, waiver of most fees, contingency grant of Rs.1,20,000/- over four years, support for international and national conferences and international exchange programme.

Relaxation: Candidates possessing PGDM of IIMs with a minimum CGPA of 2.5 out of 4.33 or equivalent will be eligible for applying directly, without again taking a qualifying examination.

Selection: Candidates will be short listed on the recommendation of respective areas based on their Profile and Qualifying Scores. Such candidates will be invited for a Personal Interview (and written tests for certain areas) at IIM Kozhikode. To and fro travel expenses between the railway station at the place of residence and Kozhikode, limited to III AC train fare, will be reimbursed by the Institute. For attending interviews, accommodation will be provided in the campus; however, candidates need to bear the expenses related to their food.

How To Apply: Candidates will be required to complete an online form. In addition, they will have to down load a form for referee recommendation. These forms will have to be completed by two referees and attached with the print out of the completed application form.

An application fee of Rs.300/- is required. Please note that details of the demand draft are required to be entered in the Online Form. Hence, the demand draft needs to be procured before the online form can be submitted.

After applying online, a print out of the application along with the crossed demand draft (of Rs.300 payable to Indian Institute of Management Kozhikode at Kozhikode) and Referee Recommendations (in the prescribed formats only) are to be sent to FPM Office, IIM Kozhikode, IIMK Campus PO, Calicut – 673570, Kerala.
