Employability & Entrepreneurship Building Programmes - towards developing extra-ordinary performers for rewarding corporate careers or to emerge as entrepreneurial leaders.

Whether one is an executive or in own business, entrepreneurial and execution orientation is a must to achieve results / success. Organisations all over, are hunting for people with vision, passion, commitment, competence and the resolve to make things happen by tenacious execution / implementation - performance. Paper qualifications, jargons and packaging are no substitute for doing / action. Therefore, SCMLD announces the following programmes focussed on 'Execution Leadership'.

These are dynamic, more of 'learning by doing' intensive residential programmes - beyond the conventional system of education

Two batches (2004-06, 2005-07) of SCMLD autonomous PGDM programme passed out with 100% placements. Fifteen students opted to be entrepreneurs. Out of the third batch (2006-08) of 159 students passing out in April 2008, 149 are already placed. Four opted to be entrepreneurs. Salary range in Rs. p.a. and number of students placed : Less than 3 lac - 25, 3 to 3.99 lac - 45, 4 to 4.99 lac - 64, 5 to 5.99 lac - 4, above 6 lac - 11, highest being 8 lac and lowest 2.16 lac.

1. Post Graduate Programme in Executive Leadership (June 2008 to April 2009): Number of seats : 120
Specialisations: • Marketing & Sales • Finance & Financial Services • Human Resource • Manufacturing & Operations • Entrepreneurship & Enterprise Building • IT & Systems.

Eligibility: Graduates (10+2+3 years of education) in any discipline from any recognized university. Final year students can also apply. On successful completion of this programme, students can opt to enroll for the advanced programme stated below (batch 2009-10), or take up placement / pursue entrepreneurship as per their interest / aspirations.

2. Advanced Programme in Executive Leadership (June 2008 to April 2009): Number of seats : 40
More in-depth inputs and experiential processes in above specialisations aligned with sectoral specifics viz. • Retail • Manufacturing, SCM, Logistics & Shipping • Banking • Non-Banking Financial Services - Wealth Management, Capital Markets, Commodities, Analytics, Mutual Funds • Insurance • Entertainment • Media & Communication • Infrastructure & Real Estate • Energy - Power, Oil & Gas • Hospitality, Travel & Tourism • Telecom • I.T. etc. as per choice of students. This programme will have full-time academics followed by placement period and industry / NGO Internship or Sectoral Survey / Research, and submission of dissertation.

Eligibility: Post Graduates in Economics, Commerce, Behaviourial Sciences, Law, Medicine, Pharmacy, Maths, Statistics, Management or Social Sciences (including final year students / those who have completed any full-time Post Graduate course of minimum 1 year after 10+2+3 years of education / training) or Graduates with minimum two years of executive work experience / running own business. This programme will have an intake of 160 from June 2009 - 10 batch onwards.

Students who are successful in the first programme can seek admission for the advanced programme immediately or later.
Those who are successful in both these programmes will be certified accordingly.
12 - 14 hours of hard work everyday is a must to be successful in these programmes.

The journey from Executive Trainees to Top Executive positions in the corporates or to be an inspirational and successful entrepreneur entails hard and determined work.

How to apply: Please send an account payee DD for Rs.200 in favour of 'Director, SCMLD' payable at Pune for application form and detailed prospectus, along with four self-addressed stickers with pin code to despatch the prospectus. Please write your full address and telephone number on the reverse of the DD as well.

Selection centers: Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Bilaspur, Bhopal, Chandigarh, Chennai, Dehradun, Delhi, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Kochi, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai, Nagpur, Patna and Pune. Selection process: Group Discussion, Essay & English Proficiency Test, Personal Interview, Psychometric Evaluation, Academic performance in 10th, 12th & Graduation and References.

SCMLD is a Gurukulam and modern academy at the same time. Those who are, averse to doing yoga, pranayama, vipassana meditation, Art of Living, field assignments; unwilling to participate in outbound / rural camps, consumer surveys, community work, team / shared learning & other experiential processes, and who do not believe in honesty & transparency, should not apply. SCMLD's focus is to coach / mentor / guide / train people for enabling them to, be employable in the private sector / emerge as entrepreneurs. Its programmes are not affiliated to or approved / recognised by any university / Govt. / statutory bodies. On successful completion of the above programmes, SCMLD does its own certification in testimony whereof.
