COMMON ADMISSION TEST

Course: Post Graduate diploma in VLSI & Embedded system

Duration: six months
Eligibility: Degree in Engineering. CSE/ECE/EEE & EIE/M.Sc.(Electronics) or equivalent \
No. of seats: 40
Course fee: Rs.45,000/-

Course contents: VLSI Design Methodology, Advanced Digital Design from front to back end using either verilog HDL or VHDL which also includes static Timing Analysis (Array Design, Standard cell based design & SoG Design) Analog and Mixed signal design Front end to back end design.

EDA TOOLS: CADENCE, Tanner, Mentor Graphics, xilinx.

Selection procedure: Admission will be based on a National level common admission test to evaluate applicants aptitude ands technical knowledge. The test will be of 2 hrs duration comprising of objective type questions. The criterion of selection will be based on the applicant’s performance in the test.
How to apply: Prescribed application forms and prospectus (containing rules and syllabus for entrance examination) can be had from CAD/CAM Department, central institute of tool design, Hyderabad-500037, by paying cash , or a crossed demand draft of Rs.300/-(SC/ST Candidates Rs.100/-) drawn in favor of :Principal Director, CITD, Hyderabad on any nationalized bank, preferably State Bank of Hyderabad, Balanagar branch, Hyderabad-37. The SC/ST Category candidates need to enclose a copy of caste certificate attested by Gazetted Officer.

Course Fee : The fee is Rs.45000/- (Rupees forty five thousand only)
Payable in two installments

First installment of Rs.25000/-at the time of counseling

Second installment of Rs.20000/- within 60 days ie. On or before 19.03.2009
