Post Graduate Programme in Communications Management (PGPCM)

Mudra Institute of Communications (MICA), has invited application for admission to the Post Graduate Programme in Communications Management (PGPCM) leading to Post Graduate Diploma in Management (Communications) - (PGDM-C) for 2010 - 2012

Applicant should have a Bachelor's Degree (10 + 2 + 3 (4) system) with minimum 50% marks or an equivalent qualification, in any discipline recognized by the Association of Indian Universities. Those appearing for the final examination of a Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent) are also eligible to apply.

Students with demonstrable aptitude for expressing, assessing or conceiving ideas that move people to action and achieve business results, will stand better chances of being shortlisted.

The selection process for the PGDM (C) involves three stages.

Stage-1 is the requirement of CAT/GMAT. Applicant should have CAT 2009 score or GMAT score of 31.12.2007 or later. Indian students can also apply with GMAT scores. GMAT score of 600+ will be considered in lieu of CAT. However short-listing, will depend on the number of applications. (The CAT cut-off percentile for 2009-2011 was 90 percentile and above overall, with sectional cut off of 50 percentile and above in DI & QT and 60 percentile and above for Verbal Comprehension)

Stage-II is MICA Admissions Test (MICAT) for candidates short-listed from CAT/GMAT, to be held in February/March at Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Delhi, Kolkata, and Mumbai, designed to assess analytical and divergent thinking, written communication skills and familiarity with the Indian ethos. Stage-III includes Group Exercise (GE) and Personal Interview (PI).
Those short-listed on the basis of MICAT will be invited for Group Exercise and Personal Interview later in March/April 2010.

Application can be submitted online at http://oams.blueshift.com/mica/website/ as per the instructions there. The fee of Rs. 1500/- has to be paid by the applicant which can be paid Online through Credit Card (Master or Visa card online) as per the instructions on the website or through a Demand Draft for Rs. 1500/- from any Bank in favour of 'MICA', payable at Ahmedabad.

Application Forms will be issued till January 27, 2010.
Last date for receipt of completed Application Forms is January 27, 2010.
MICAT Call Letters will be issued from February, 2010.
