International Parenting Conference 2010 at Suncity School, Gurgaon

Atmachetna means “self awakening”.
We are a team of people passionate about bringing positive change through Atmachetna in your life. We have started this journey to bring happiness in the lives of children and their parents.

Introduction: Specific objectives of the conference are to:
* create awareness among various stakeholders (parents, teachers, policy makers, experts) about importance of effective parenting.
* provide new and relevant information and skill development for parents.
* provide a forum to assist in the development of networks between people and organisations working with parents.
* create a platform for people and institutions to learn from each other’s experiences, strengths and questions.
* bring together a range of people and organizations who have delved deeply into issues related to raising happy kids.
* find ways to influence policy formulation and decision making at local, state and national levels to create effective programmes for kids and parents. We also feel that the conference should address specific areas of parenting e.g. parenting children with difficulty, Single parenting, and parenting after family break-up, etc.
Organisers : Organized by Atmachetna – an organization focused on parenting. Atmachetna came into existence to bring much needed clarity in parent-child relationships and help parents understand their kids better and also help teens understand their parents well ; thereby leading to happy families.

Registration: The conference is limited to 250 participants per day. We would prefer a healthy mix of parents, teachers, school leaders, experts and policy makers for effective discussions.Preference would be given to parents. Registration would be on first-come-first serve basis. please send email to puneet@parentingconference.org with your name, category (parent, teacher, school leader, expert, government) and email and phone number. We will not be able to offer accommodations to outside participants; though there are number of guest house and hotels available in Gurgaon.
